This 7-Eleven brings back memories of my childhood. As a child, my family and I would walk to this strip mall after dinner to get something sweet to eat at the ice cream shop nearby. We also would stop by 7 Eleven for their Slurpees. We would mix our creations into the big cups and we would take sips and refill our cups hoping the employee on duty would not notice us. I would also use the 7 Eleven as a landmark for where I’d tell people to turn if they were going to my house. I was never good at street names. I stopped by recently to buy a lotto ticket(my first ever!) for the $ 600 million, which I did not win. The store looks exactly like it did when I visited years ago. The guy who helped me was nice, but the store is in much needed of a makeover and a scrub down. As for me, I doubt I will be back unless I’m buying a lotto ticket. There are better and cleaner convenience stores that have a larger selection of goods.

This a typical if nondescript 7-Eleven in Vernon Hills right at Townline and Aspen. They usually have very friendly staff working here who make a point of saying hello to everyone that walks in. Recommended when you need that quick item on the go.
