Nothing outstanding about the food but it’s good. I’m told by those who eat wings that their wings are very good, I know the shrimp & perch is always good. Fries & coleslaw are inconsistent, sometimes great and other times just so-so. The décor is worth the price of the meal! Good selection of beer & cocktails.

Worst service in the world. Check your take out orders to make sure they didn’t charge a tip.

Stayed in the hotel across the street during my time in Ohio. I was with a pretty big group and we decided to walk to the restaurant since it was the closest place we could get to without driving. Really had a great experience. It was our waitresses first day but her service was superb. The food is similar to what you can get at TGIF. Don’t expect fine dining here. We ordered hot wings and a few appetizers and they were all good. There is also a nice view from the outside patio of a lake behind the restaurant.

Atmosphere is good, and the wings were pretty good, but our loaded fries came out lukewarm and by the way the cheese looked it was like it had been microwaved. They were definitely not worth the $. The sweet tea was nothing to brag about either. Tasted like sugar water.

Pretty good place but not the best place in the universe. Plus the food took a little while to get to our table too. Rarely come here but when we do it’s just decent so it’s not really worth going to that much.

Went here for lunch last week and our food took almost two hours to arrive. And then the food was cold and terrible. The salads were not fresh and the fish sandwiches were flavorless. The manager suggested we should have brought gold fish to keep the kids happy while waiting! For an hour and 45 minutes!!! Are you kidding me!!! Never going again.

Super slow kitchen service. Server was great. If I’m from corporate and actually read these reviews, I’d revoke the franchisees license and/or terminate the GM and start over. The ONLY reason why this place survives is the location. Time to change things up Quaker Steak. Enough’s enough.

Even after a few years this place just can’t figure out that the people that work in the area typically need to get in and out in short amount a time. I have taken the people that work for me here a number of times and always schedule extra time, because I know they’ll be slow. Today was the worst ever and I will never return. 50 minutes from the time we sat down until our food arrived. We debated a number of time near the end to get up and go eat somewhere else. It’s so frustrating. Our server offered no apology. When he told us our food would be out in 5 minutes, it was almost another 15 before it arrived at the table. It wasn’t crowded enough to even justify a reason. I’ve been to other Quaker Steak’s and have never experienced such and inconsistency in service. I can’t believe this is tolerated. I have defended this place in the past to co-workers who have all said it’s too slow. No more though, I’ve jumped on their bandwagon.

We arrive, lobby full of patrons waiting for a table, a restaurant full of empty tables, and we still wait 30+ minutes. Should have been my first clue to leave but it’s one of the few places in town open past 8pm. So we finally get seated, order nachos and drinks which arrive in a timely manner after we place our meal order. Or so we thought. Then, our very helpful waitress comes over and says«I forgot to take your order.» Um. No you didnt, but claims there’s no ticket to be found. We re-order our meal, which mine was specific enough that it jogged her memory and she remembered that we, in fact, did order. She apologizes and said we’ll get a discount. We FINALLY got our meal, 30 minutes after we re-placed our order and it was correct. The whole place was full of nice, disorganized people. We received 20% off our bill. But we’ll likely return because of the beautiful location right on the water.

The Lube is a really fun place to go in the summertime, have a few beers outside, and watch the boats go by. It is a vast improvement from the former business, McGarvey’s, which was apparently connected to a major drug ring at one point(#funfact). The food is average, but the music and the service is surprisingly pleasant.

I decided return home to Vermilion after 30 years only to find that McGarveys had been replaced by this dump. I had heard the restaraunt had changed hands a few times over the years, but never would have guessed that such a valuable piece of property would be home to a wing and beer joint. If your looking for a place to drink and eat bar food this is the place for you. Btw– definately NOT the best wings in the USA. Pro– great view, cheap beer. Con– too many to mention

Called an hour ahead of time for a reservation for a party of 10 and was told that they do not take reservations but should have no problem seating you shortly. Got here and was told that there was at least a 1 hour wait. There are at least 12 empty tables if i didn’t drive 20 minutes to get here I would leave. Bad way to run a business.

We were there for a fundraiser and came away very disappointed. This is the first fundraiser I’ve ever been to at a bar where beer or wine wasn’t included in the price of the ticket. Originally, it wasn’t that big of deal. However, it became one as you’ll read later. I was willing to overlook the cash bar if the food were good, but it wasn’t. They had smallest variety of food of any fundraiser I’ve attended: A small salad bar, wings and fries… that was it! Even if they had a wing buffet, that would’ve be fine, but they only gave you 3(mostly bland) flavors). If that weren’t bad enough, I can’t remember how many times they ran out of food! This was salad, wings and fries! This wasn’t food that was«made to order!» You just keep dropping batches in the fryer until the fundraiser is over! The best thing I can say about the food during this experience was the Arizona Ranch wings had at least some flavor. Since this occurred on a Thursday evening in the Spring, the place was about 2⁄3 full(and most of the customers were there for the fundraiser buffet). If the service we received was typical, this place is going to be in major trouble come Summertime. We were a party of 6 and the average wait time was around 7 – 10 minutes… for only beer… that we had to pay for«out of pocket!» Since the majority of the other customers were only placing drink orders too, this was inexcusable! Ironically, the following week, we attended another fundraiser where the flavor and variety of food was good, the service was great, and it only cost us $ 5 more per ticket. If you are a boater or a biker in Vermillion you may want to give them a try. It is a great location and they cater to both groups. I suspect you’ll run into the same food and service problems we did. As for anyone else, there are plenty of nice restaurants in Vermillion that would be better options for you. Heck, even a dive bar can do a decent job of serving good wings, fries and beer.

It’s comparable to buffalo wild wings and red robin only the good is better. I had the calamari and they were huge. I loved the sweeter sauce but, was not a parmesan sauce fan. I also had the bone in wings with the thai sauce. I loved it. I think next time I’ll go for a hotter sauce.

If you have a boat, and you’re in the Vermilion area, I think it’s a law that you have to dock here and eat and drink. :) Seriously… we have a boat, and we’ve docked here. Quite fun. Food and service are typical, but the deck here is the cool part. I love seeing other boats, sitting near water, drinking. Well sure, I just pretty much like any of those three things alone as well. Not a fan of their margaritas. Kind of sweet and syrupy, but again. typical for this type of place. However, boaters… they allow dogs on the patio if you’ve docked there. We always boat with our dog, and it’s nice to know we don’t have to leave her home if we plan on visiting this place. EXCELLENT.

Let me start by saying the view here makes it. The food is just a 3 star experience, but there is something special about the lake front. All the boats strolling in, it is really cool. You see all walks of life cruising through and it is really fun people watching. The actual restaurant isn’t bad too. The waiters are good, attentive and speedy. The drinks and wings are always a plus. We went in July so they had the Great Lakes Christmas ale on tap. Always a plus. The wings are great. They are kind of the reason to come here. So come, enjoy, and check otu those sweet boats!

Drove out here on a Sunday to show my daughter the boats and the ducks. Super easy to get to from Cleveland. They have a cool deck that wraps around the place for all the people that HAVE to sit outside. The food and service is pretty much the same as others(except the new lakewood one. that one blows). Most QS&L have different daily specials. so check online for the sweet deals! We had a great time until they sat a table of Suburban Rebels who were on their way home from the Browns game next to us .they snuck in a can of Bud Lite and swore the whole time… they must not get out much. Other than that everything was cool beans. So, if your a middle aged, white dude grab your boat and pull on up, chug some Mich Ultras and get loose Playa!

I’m not generally a fan of chains, but I am a huge fan of dining and drinking on the water with a view. That’s a sadly rare opportunity in our region, so I find myself here a few times a year. Not that I mind too much. The wings are good, as is the beer and drink selection. The menu is pretty typical of a chain — pedestrian and full of dishes that are mediocre even if they’re made well. Stick to the boat watching, brews and wings and you’ll be happy.
