I had a free consultation with Ron Bamieh recently on a criminal case that I am facing. Unlike some other lawyers I had also consulted with, Ron seemed to have all the right answers and made me feel like he would put in the work necessary to defend me. He spent a considerable amount of time with me and answered every question I had. I feel extremely confident in his abilities and plan to retain him as counsel shortly. I felt he was honest and didn’t try to «sell» me on anything. If you are going through any legal trouble, Ron would be a great resource.

If you are seeking an attorney I strongly suggest choosing a different firm. I had the misfortune of meeting and speaking to Anzac Jacobs for a consult, and after making me wait 30 minutes he sauntered out wearing the same clothes my 8^th grade science teacher wore. My first thought was, «I hope he is a paralegal, because Ventura attorneys would laugh him out of the courtroom in that getup.» Within moments he confirmed his attorney status by acting exactly how most Esquires do; full of self importance by being judgemental, condescending and sanctimonious. THERE’S PLENTY OF ALTERNATIVES TO BEING TREATED WITH DISRESPECT. THERE ARE MANY MORE PROFESSIONAL FIRMS IN THE COUNTY TO HIRE. Obviously Mr. Bamieh allows his junior attorneys to oversee intake of new clients, and that’s a red flag. It’s also my cue to leave within the first five minutes of seeing Mr. ANZAC, who never even bothered to introduce himself to me. He was unprofessional, and a complete waste of my time.
No matter what area of law you are attempting to seek representation for, move on and avoid this office.

Mr. Bamieh has been there for me on four separate issues. My divorce, defense for my son, a personal issue, and custody related issues. Two of which I hired him and was pleased. On one occasion Ron was there for me for a consultation. I explained my situation, he listened and gave me recommendations in the direction which I should take. Ron was honest to advise me that I didn’t need his representation for the custody issue. It was in my favor. I appreciated that he took the time to meet with me. I have recommended Ron to my friends as well.

I had heard good things about Mr. Bamieh and Chad Erickson so I signed the retainer agreement with Anzac Jacobs (another attorney at that firm) and paid the $ 5,000.00 upfront for a DUI case in Ventura. I was as honest as possible when it came to what had happened the night of my arrest, so I was very surprised when Anzac received the police report and basically told me there was nothing he could do for me. I was told to find a new job and prepare for my entire life to change without a fight or defense from the lawyer I had retained for just that purpose. I hired a different lawyer before my next DMV hearing in the hopes that at least they would try to find a defense for me. I tried to get a least a partial return of the fees I had paid to Mr. Bamieh’s office and still have not received a response so I will have to go through fee arbitration with the Ventura County Bar Association.
If you want to pay a lawyer$ 5,000.00 to tell you, «You are screwed, there is nothing I can do,» by all means, hire one of these guys.

I will never forget those words he told me that sealed my fate: «You are going to get a misdemeanor.» After I had borrowed the 5K to get him to take my case, he said one thing at the beginning and then changed his tune at court date. My case is nowhere near as harrowing as the murderers and other heinous felons that come through his doors and gets his free press via the Ventura County Star, and I really thought that he could get me an acquittal. He passes my case down to a Mr. Casey, and Mr. Casey tried his best. Mr. Casey even talked to my Boss at work, who was hell-​bent on taking this chance to get rid of me. Mr. Casey told that boss that for him to get so involved in this case against me would not bode well for him, and the boss backed off. I was eventually demoted, and lost my License (and still employed there, for now, but forever demoted). The merits of my actions are not the crux or motivation for this Review; the false advertising by Mr. Bamieh via his claims that he gives the best representation no matter what the crimes may be should get him immediately disbarred from the ABA. My case was a car cutting me off, and I backed up, went to get out of the scene, spinning the wheels and hit their car. I drove forward in panic, and when I went t make the u turn to return, the police pulled me over. I can post this because in the arrest report THREE of the FOUR Officers that happened to be outside the Courthouse (where the accident took place) overheard me say at the conclusion of the argument: «I am OUTTA here!» That was my intent, and the Officers WROTE THESE FACTS in the Arrest report. When they interviewed me, they acknowledged that my intent was clear. There were dozens of EYEWITNESSSES that saw this incident, and only ONE witness (NOT on the scene: dubious at best and was dismissed) said that they saw me jockey the stick shift in my truck. The other ON THE SCENE witnesses told the police that i did NOT shift my truck in reverse gear to hit them.
But enough of that, I had a squeaky clean record, other than a few traffic ticket infractions here and there. NOTHING. An acquittal was not out of the question, and even considering that the other car cut me off and blocked the flow of traffic on Telephone Road should have been taken into consideration, but was not. The Judge kept telling me how he believed in THEM, how they are going to «make something of themselves» despite the depositions of their alleged drug use and how they were «lost» on their way to the Courthouse for something THEY did (I could really care less what they did). Hey Judge that yes, they were going to make good of that 22K they each beat the Insurance company out of. They also filed Civil Right charges against me, claiming that I yelled racial epithets against them, and Bamieh said that was not his problem. So I had to get another Attorney to handle that, and lo and behold, during the counter-​claim they filed, they quickly dropped this false claim. That claim, they said I yelled and cursed Hispanic racial things to them, but the Witnesses stories did not tell any of this. What got them to drop that Civil Rights claim was the FACT that I married a woman with two Hispanic girls. Their Attorney did not have the decency to show up for the initial hearing; the Clerk of the Court told us that they had dropped this portion of the case. Back to Bamieh, I even had to call their Office to tell them that the dates got mixed up; the calendared case was different than the letter they mailed to me. Not even an apology for that near-​fatal slip up. Had I not been there to check that Civil Case sham, I would not have found out. The last time I spoke to Bameih, he cut my visit to make room for a prospective client up for MURDER.
Pay no mind to the legal ease given by the law firm. They are lawyers=liars. Bamieh’s reputation is well known and his Daddy taking care of him as well.

I was facing a serious felony charge. Ron was able to reduce the case to a misdemeanor and no jail time. I heard great things about Ron but I never knew how good he was until I saw him in action. He is an excellent attorney, professional and has a great understanding of the law. He is the BEST attorney in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. I would highly recommend him.

The saying roughly goes that there are some professionals that one will inevitably need in life: a physician, a priest, an accountant, and a lawyer. Without doubt I would recommend Ron Bamieh. He is reliable, quick, and honest. He will take his time to listen to your situation and will find the best way to proceed. He might seem a little intimidating at first but his no-​nonsense attitude is exactly one needs in an attorney in my opinion.

A friend of mine was facing two felony and two misdemeanor charges, and the lawyer he was with at the time was doing a very poor job, and he wasn’t even a criminal attorney. Due to the complexity of the case, and the fact that the majority of people involved were Chinese, my friend turned to me for help. I needed to find him a good criminal lawyer, so I asked a colleague of mine who had done some pretty extensive court reporting in Santa Barbara, and since he was also in law school at the time, I figured he could point me in the right direction.
