Horrible service, walked in lady was in the back eating greeted me after 5 mins of standing there with a mouth full of food. Super rude, & food wasn’t good. Wouldn’t recommend it. I’ll go to Taco Bell right next door next time.

I used to go to Ventura High school and ever since I was a freshman this was the place to go for any type of Mexican food! For the price you can’t beat the quality of the food, my personal favorite was the Bean, rice, and cheese burrito that came with a drink for $ 5! It was a good sized burrito for the price and when you taste it you can tell its family! Trust me this is the place to go and the Salsa is absolutely delicious and also homemade, great family and they truly care for there returning customers. You won’t regret it when the taste is so damn good!

Terms of identity may not be mine off the main streets of beach suites, upon swipes by methods for approved lines in invisible tips or a merchant’s sales, and who copies the thanks for us besides a workforce of magnificent numbers? It’s a TV lobby with shining pictures, a point of refuge for insighting mountain houses, a mirror wall to vase’d flowers, where gumdrops crack like eggs and the outskirts for Ventura High School flip with constant traffic. Here my dad and I bring ourselves to, joking about abogados and the whole phenomenon with any kind of insurance, and we take brisk walks around Foster’s Donuts or Taco Bell while, self-encouraging, we chat about the possibilities of this place’s big menu, the mild diet cola, the homemade salsas for generous salsa cups, the workload of familiar and lovely faces, and the pristine donkey decoration object(carrying a wagon) with huge black eyes for discounted beans, rice, and cheese burritos. Maybe the accommodating salsa chips are a tad hard for brittle enjoyment and the Jalisco carne asada isn’t so smoky as it is chewy and juicy, plus I dream of seafood on the Seaward paths to IN-N-OUT and Carrows. It’s a shame that so many diners just skip the world meals for local dishes, especially when Mexican dishes resemble practical portions for snack consumption and heavy entertainment. Shall I admit the chore to salsa contemplation, salsa life, salsa love, vegas salsitas? I know the Jalisco Burrito is bold, plentiful, bigger than two Quesaritos, and drops of heavy mild salsa replenish its meat with more tomato juiciness, more vibrant flavor, and cause a great wet texture for nibbling and fun. A ladle can bring more salsa to me if I can just taste the spiciness before kissing the onion bits, and I think there’s an approach to understanding hunger since I can guess what the restaurant’s fortunes may bring. Oh yes, how the eggs of a breakfast burrito may smooch themselves like breaking sunshine! El Tianguis magazines may talk about a princess’s courted hair, speed braces, Facebook thumbs, towing of the human races, problemas eléctricos, salons of multiple uses, arbitrary horoscopes, and human acupuncture. I may pick up one of those magazines after encountering a lady with a broom by the front door, see the cable box light and a wall of reflections, imagining the kind of horchata they have(agua fresca, fresh water!) before leering into a menu of paintings and real food pictures, contemplating my best motives for $ 4.50 meal cards and recognizing a good sized chalkboard for weekly specials and burning pennies. Some tables here are made of fine wood skin and I think the two little barstools are vivid and beautiful, and I generally imagine myself in a brisk roof under a sea of airplane stars when sharing my mother’s chips. So, can I say that I don’t scratch my debit cards? What we have here is a clandestine hut with a fiery ambiance of laughter, free information, sweeping motions, children who don’t know better, 2-quarter soda refills and a decorated environment for touching genders and complete Styrofoam. I’ve never been to Jalisco cities in Mexico, so I guess Ventura’s people can define this place as a part of American culture because it’s one of Ventura’s Mexican hut stores and Americans at large aren’t so indifferent with tacos and burritos. If I can say it, I think grilled steak nuggets need so much exotic liquid, and free salsa chips apply to my enthusiasm a great deal of innovation and variation. Meals here typically run under $ 10 and the cleanliness is obvious. Maybe Taco Bell’s sauce packets have variety to them, but I love to take a ladle and make a red mess of tomato stuff.

A true made to order taco place, a classic hole in the wall that has been around for years and we forget that it is right off Seaward and Main. When I walked in and ordered a cheese enchilada, he slapped a corn tortilla on the grill, added cheese and sauce and put in the oven. Now, that is fresh — and quite tasty. The chips were light and crispy, and there is a salsa bar with some okay spicy salsa choices. I forgot to ask for super hot, but all had a nice flavor. There are only 4 tables inside and a couple outside. They now offer tamales, but were out of the raja on this visit. Will have to go back and try a tamale and the chile relleno.

Tacos Jalisco has been at the corner of Main and Seaward for years. I used to visit for a quick lunch on occasion, many years ago. They haad some good asada and al pastor tacos that I remember enjoying. Tonight I returned from a trip, and craving some quick Mexican food, I headed over to Tacos Jalisco. The place looked pretty much the same, sort of beat up, with 3 small booths. And they now have one of those giant foto boards so you can point at what you want… I had the crisp taco platter, my wife the cheese enchiladas. They were both excellent. They cook to order, you order at the counter and the owner brings it to the booth when it is ready. A small salsa/condiment bar lets you load radishes, jalapenos and 3 different salsas to taste. The salsa is tasty, but not really hot. So if that’s how you like it, pick up a couple jalapenos! The chips were good, but not home made. The taco shells were fried as we waited, just like on taco night at my house when I was a kid. Packed with shredded beef, onions, tomatoes and lettuce. Crunchy and good. The rice was well seasoned, and the refries weren’t runny. Just the way I like ‘em! We watched the kid at the grill make the enchiladas. First, a fresh tortilla, dipped in oil and cooked on the grill, then folded around the cheese, a great sauce poored on, more cheese on top and into the oven. My wife savored every bite.

Best Mexican food place in town! It’s been around for many many years but hasn’t lost the small hole in the wall feel unlike most Mexican spots in Ventura. Great service with the sweetest owner who always delivers service with a smile and is very helpful! Great prices too with the most excellent deals! Also the Carne Asada fries are 10⁄10

This hole in the wall is the best taco joint In Ventura hands down I love there flautas there carnita tacos are A must everything God dammit it’s 100% authentic and it’s hard to find places that are like that everything is made from scratch not canned. And a big plus the lady in the cashier has to be one of the sweetest and is one of the sweetest persons I’ve met she committed to her work and her great food. And don’t forget to leave a tip don’t be a cheap skate leave a tip I know I do and I’m poor!!!

I’ve been here a few times. My husband loves this place. It’s good. Service can be a little slow. However, the cook whom maybe the owner is very sweet and does thank you for the business which makes the wait a little easier for me. I haven’t had the tacos but they do have dollar tacos on Tuesday and Thursday which seem to be popular.

I have had a couple of poor experiences here both being in the evening and stopped coming for a while. Then deside to give lunch a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was hot and good. I had the Carne Asada Plate. The asada was tender and well prepared, the beans and rice were on a restaurant level, above average. Chips and salsa are good as well. I hope to see continued consistency, as I will choose this location for a luck stop in the future.

The food was ok but the portions vs. price not good. Too pricey. These places are a dime a dozen which gives the option to eat elsewhere.

Went on Taco Tuesday… got two tacos hard shell, not included and for a $ 1.00 but for $ 1.59 not a bad price. The bad was that it had no flavor. Shells were so greasy they split when trying to eat. The salsa somewhat helped the bland flavor. There were about 2 orders in front of ours and we still had to wait over 20 mins for our food. We also ordered a quesdilla, great size it was huge, although again no spices on meat at all. So yea it was full of chicken but no flavor. Was a little disappointed.

Yikes, this place has problems. Initially, I came in to use the restroom, as my friend and I were determining where we should eat. I walked out and the rude cashier(presumably owner), said thank you to me sarcastically. I ordered the burrito supreme. It was a mess, and quite possibly the worst burrito for the price and quality. It was almost like Taco Bell. The burrito, for being a supreme and loaded with everything in it, lacked any sort of flavor. I made a disgruntled comment at the table, and I think the cashier overheard me. I asked her to refill the water, and she refilled it a quarter of the way up. It did not taste right. I put it back down and gave her the dirtiest look. I wonder if she contaminated it possibly?

Amazing Mexican Food! FIVESTARS! The food at Tacos Jalisco is super authentic and home cooked. It’s a little store located on the intersection of Main street in Ventura. Easy to find as they have good signage. I ordered the menudo to go, and I got a nice sized order of soup with a whole cow’s food and many slices of tripe in the soup. The lady asked if I wanted homeny, cilantro, onions, and oregano. Of course I did. She packed it in a side to go container for me. The soup was very nice, as it had generous ingredients. I was happy! Grade: A I also ordered a lengua burrito. The burritos here are HUGE! I literally got a 7″ burrito that was thick as a beer can. The burrito was packed with beans, rice, and loads of lengua. I literally ate this for 2+ meals. Nice! Grade: A Love the owner, as she was very friendly. I also enjoyed the salsa bar — you can get servings of both hot and mild salsa, fresh radishes and limes, jalapenos, and other goodies. Food Grade: A Service Grade: A Worth the Money Grade: A Overall Impression Grade: A

Love this Place! 18 years ago I had a juicy Carne Asada Burrito. Great customer service. Fast and friendly staff. Had them recently and still as good as I remembered. Great place to stop and eat. Right off the Seaward Ave. Exit off the 101 Freeway.

Burritos, my favorite food. They need to be authentic, tasty, wrapped for the car or couch, and less than $ 6. Tacos Jaliscos delivers on all fronts. Even their bean, cheese, and rice burrito is awesome.

It’s not great, not bad. Prices are a bit steep. Burritos are 6 bucks with meat, and they are bland. Salsa is a must. There are cheaper and more flavorful options in Ventura. Wow I feel like an idiot… I shoulda got Tacos hahaha. I will do that and re-review.
