This was my first time at Don Lalo’s, and my first impression is one that was extremely positive. The staff was friendly, and it was satisfying to get what I wanted and expected a Chimichanga to be, filled to the brim with everything delicious. I look forward to trying other menu items.

Not a fan of the new place, menu is very large I liked the small 3 daily idem menu the old place had. I’ve been here twice now and never was impressed. It tasted like home cooking, which is not great cause I don’t cook with much flavor. I might try give another item on the menu a try cause the location of this place is great, across the street from my work.

Very delicious. Recommended by someone on Unilocal talk and decided to give it a try. I got the Chile relleno a la carte. It was very delicious and a little different. It was wrapped in egg, no batter. And pan seared, topped with tamatillo gravy. It was great. My husband got the Soper and the texture was perfect! It’s new so it’s super duper clean. We will for sure be back.

Love this Place! Chorizo & Egg Burrito was delicious! Love the Carne Asada, Beans and Rice. Everything is great. Great customer service fast and friendly. Hands Down! One of the best Shrimp Cocktails I ever had in my entire life! I usually go to the Original location on Ventura Ave. I haven’t gone to there Ojai location. The owner is a awesome person. Great place to grab a bite.

NEW RESTAURANT
Don Lalo’s Mexican Food had been on the Restaurant Business for over 18 yrs. This is his third Location on Ventura County. I personally had been on his other two locations before and I’m glad it will be on this Industrial Area (tired of Food Trucks) having it closed is much better, Now I Have a Place To Go for Breakfast or Lunch. ANGEL or LALO the owner and his staff are very NICE people and are always looking to see your smile. If you don’t like something just tell em they want you to be happy with your food.
