I bought a beer for $ 3. I was charged $ 9 on my credit card statement. Watch them closely.

Stopped here while we were staying at the Samesun Venice Hostel. It was pretty close and had a wide selection.

So close to my house, Canal Club, James Beach, the boardwalk and the beach itself. Whenever i need something they have it, and the guys running the place are pretty friendly. Need matches with your cigarettes? They won’t force you to buy a lighter like the guy down the street does to me. All their prices are fairly moderate, some things like sunscreen are really expensive but its the beach so its just simple demand and supply. Overall 5 stars. Glad to be shopping here, especially where i can get really good tacos next door too.

So we were at the beach and thought«hey why not grab a couple cold ones» since it was blazing hot out and we had just worked out. We checked Unilocal and Munis was the closet liquor store. WOW the prices were ridiculous! We bought 2– 22’s and 2 singles and it came out to $ 16!!! We both about choked and could have left but we were really looking forward to them so we paid and I vowed to never go back.

My go-to mini mart. Close to home, close to the beach and stocked full of cold beer! I always talk, laugh and joke around with everyone that works there and the owner. Very friendly and obviously over priced just like any other market on the beach.

Support your local liquor mart, people! Rent by the beach ain’t cheap. Yes, things are marked up at a slight premium here. Yes, it’s worth it! Pony up a few extra bucks or cents and be glad you’re by the beach. It’s a super convenient place to pick up all the bare necessities without having to hop in your car to go all the way out to Albertson’s! Picked up some emergency fabric softener sheets today, the owner was sweet and friendly. Walked back home and now I have clean, soft, fluffy sheets. Yay!

Well stocked. Clean. Open late. Staff not rude but not charming. Ridiculously overpriced for groceries. Beach prices for tourists –and beachgoer convenience — bad deal for locals. But it works when you are too buzzed to drive to Ralph’s.

This is a solid convenience store, nothing more, nothing less. It warrants a review, because in the heart of Venice Beach, a town where all other haberdasheries are drastically overpriced, Munis is still kicking it on a proper tip. They have cold beer, an above-average wine selection, and decent cigars(Cohibas are my faves of the bunch). They stay open past midnight as well, which is clutch in those crave/binge scenarios.

Venice is an interesting land; standard laws of supply and demand are suspended within this opiatic enclave, and as a result there is a vast surplus of alcoholics despite a serious shortage of liquor stores. Beers and wines can be purchased along the boardwalk, but if one should care for a nip of something a bit stronger — something to loosen up the more scrutinizing magic critics, perhaps — one is going to have to venture further inland. Many of the liquor stores in Venice, however, at least west of Lincoln, close early or are exorbitantly overpriced. If you don’t pay mind to where you are going, you might end up paying upwards of 12 dollars for a bottle of Barefoot wine; a bottle that should require no more than 6 dollars to own, and which incidentally features an aroma similar to that of bare feet. That being said, it is with a flourish of hands, a curtain of smoke, and a gaudy pyrotechnics display that I announce my official endorsement of Muni’s Liquor for all things liquor store related within Venice. Late hours, competitive pricing, jovial cashiers and a reliable, extensive selection make Muni’s THE place to be for late night liquor supply. Also note the selection of fine ice creams and ethnic foods, both features that do not go unnoticed under the watchful eye of david copperfield.
