Wasn’t really a fan of this place at all. Sadly. My boyfriend and I were SUPER excited to try it out because we love seize the bagel and maybe thought it’d be kinda the same thing! Well, when we walked in we didn’t get any«hello» or anything. The lady looked very unhappy to be there and it was super quiet(no music or anything). Well we ordered two bagel sandwiches and got two combos and it came out to be $ 20. We were just going to share a drink but she insisted that we got combos. After asking how much the combos were, she just said«your receipt will show you». Like why couldn’t you just tell us in a friendly manner and make sure that was okay? Instead, just took our card. Food was okay, chicken is microwaved and still cold after. Just sucks cause we were so excited. Oh well.

Meh. Walked in after leaving the gym, because I’d burned some calories and bagels are good. The owners seem like a couple, although she was working on food stuff and didn’t say a word. I looked over the menu and asked if they had light cream cheese. Nope-only regular. Kind of weird for a bagel shop, but whatever. I wound up ordering a toasted garlic bagel with cream cheese and lox, easy on the cream cheese. Went to pay, and got an abrupt ‘I won’t take a card for less than $ 5, and you’re at $ 3.47.’ Then he pointed to the drink case. I get that card fees are high, but cool-there goes any shot you had at me coming in with friends and family. So I grab a $ 2.58 Red Bull(the tiny can), pay with my card, and go on my merry way. The bagel was ok. No better than any grocery store bagel. The service was… efficient. But don’t expect service with a smile. If you want a flipping amazing bagel experience, make the little trek down to Sunrise Bagels. Now THAT will impress you.

This is a great little ma and pa bagel shop they always have great food. I like that they offer espresso drinks but they’re not always the best. I used to go every morning for a veggie bagel sandwich when I lived around there

I asked her to toss my salad. She gave me a tossed salad. Not what I ordered but it was okay.

Worst service I’ve ever had. We went I and ordered a bagel sandwich, a bagel with cream cheese, and 2 vanilla lattes. There were 2 people working. The woman was working on dough and the man took our order. After we came in more customers started to arrive. The woman employee just continued to work on dough as the line backed up. The male employee took multiple orders. The woman then began to work on them all at the same time. The man made one drink then went to work on the dough, completely ignoring the growing line of customers. It took 30 minutes to get our order. The woman was extremely rude. She got upset when I asked if my drink had 3 squirts of vanilla even though the man said it would be ok. Then she poured a bunch more vanilla in the drink while I was holding it and spilled it all over my hand. For a small, family owned business you’d expect better service as these places usually rely on repeat customers. I’ve been in before when the place was dead and the service was acceptable. I will not be returning again due to their extreme inefficiency and rudeness.

Their bagels are round… That’s the best part. They were tasteless. The breakfast sandwich bagels are microwaved. The«schmear“bagels are skimpy with the cream cheese. Also not a big fan of the baby-sitting restaurants. Their kids were front and center at tables where other families who came in to eat could have sat down.

I love bagels, I know bagels, I dream about bagels and being Jewish I think that lends just a little bit of street cred to any bagel review. The Wife and I were between Doctor appointments, the first one I had to go in fasting so by the time I escaped from there I was hungry but time was short, so instead of a breakfast we stopped for a quick bagel and banked on lunch later on. Stuck back off the main road in a strip mall anchored by Safeway, we had seen this place before and it was convenient to stop at. We walked in about 11am, so the bagel selection was a little depleted and the salt bagels were gone. I love a good salt bagel. So I settled on an Everything bagel with regular smear, The Wife went all Wild Cheddar with a lox smear, coffee and I went lemonade from the soda fountain. Service was pleasant and prompt, and because I was on my knee scooter trying to balance a cup and scoot the guy brought our bagels out to our table for us. Props, Dude! I knew from looking at the bagels in the case they weren’t a true boiled bagel, but that’s okay, Boiled bagels look plumper and are a little smaller with a shinier hue. A baked bagel can be fine though, I’m not going to slam a place for not being traditional boiled. In the end we looked at each other and kind of shrugged, it is a okay bagel, if you need a bagel in Hazel Dell this is a good place to come.

Amazing bagels and a very relaxing place to spend an early morning. However, the service is the reason it only receives 3 stars.

Nickel and dime you for adding tomato slices — extra $ 3. Person at register, so I also think is owner did not seem happy to be working here. Food isn’t bad, but service is awful.

This place is a great little mom and pop, occasionally you catch their little kiddos hanging out in the shop doing homework or being generally adorable and well behaved(and I don’t like most people’s kids) but it’s a generally chill environment. Bagels are good and the meals are reasonably priced for a college student/grad. Love the jalapeño and cheese with jalapeño cream cheese, definitely recommend if you like the spicy.

I went here for lunch yesterday and was NOT impressed! I spent $ 10 with a dollar tip for a bagel sandwich and a bagel to go. The lady working was not friendly at all and it seemed like I was inconveniencing her because I ordered a sandwich. I have been here before and normally the food is pretty good, but this time it just wasn’t appetizing or worth the money. That was my last try at NW Bagel Deli… I won’t be coming back.

We will never go back here. The owner is super grumpy and acts like you are a burden coming into his restaurant. He wouldn’t let my husband use his credit or debit card because of a 5 dollar minimum… It wasn’t listed before buying and aren’t bagel places suppose to be quick and easy. We won’t go back. Ever.

In the same center as Safeway This bagel shop is great for so many reasons. * They have a great selection of varying bagels * They have a huge space, so dining in will definitely not prove a challenge. Seating comes in the form of regular tables. * Their sandwiches are most delicious. * Their location is very easy to find * There is lots and lots of parking. * The staff is kind and helpful. My only issue I guess was the price… it was a little on the pricy side. I had their Soup, Sandwich, & Soda«Special» yet it was still over $ 12 bucks. I think for all this the price should still be a little bit less. Here’s my meal: The soup you’re witnessing is Clam Chowder. I’ve had many Clam Chowders before and this particular one had the most assertive seafood flavoring about it… meaning you could definitely taste the clams more so than I’ve ever had before. The broth wasn’t too thick which I appreciated which means they use a smaller amount of flour or corn starch. There was a really nice balance of all ingredients in the soup. The sandwich was incredible. I had a Reuben to which I upgraded to their«Hot n Spicy» Bagel($ 0.75 to upgrade.) This upgrade proved to be a futile one as I didn’t catch any heat off this particular bagel. The Corned Beef came in the perfect portion, was of good quality and paired really well with the 1000 Island Dressing and Saurkraut. This was a great sammie I tell ya! I really liked that the guy working and helping me kept using down time to maintain the cleanliness of the store. I’ll come here again for sure, but not sure when as you have to be a «baller» if you want to eat without restrictions.

This place is great. Seriously. Even though i’m not a huge fan of bagels.(Too much bread IMHO.) I have a thing for wraps. Granted, I can be kind of picky, especially with the contents. When I came here for lunch with family, I saw the chicken caesar salad wrap and couldn’t resist. It ended up being my favorite. The staff is friendly and they have a varied, excellent selection that includes drinks. I personally topped my order off with a fresh tea from the fridge. The prices are a little spendy for the amount you get but if you want something that isn’t from Safeway or the surrounding fast food chains, its definitely my first pick for a good independent business. I’ll definitely be here again for more wraps, and maybe to try the breakfast sandwiches. if I get up that early.

Literally the worst lunch I have ever had. 5 bucks for a burnt bagel from Safeway next door, a smear of cream cheese and four tiny pieces of smoked salmon. Not what I was expecting and very disappointing.

I’ve loved this place for a decade and after a couple years out of the area I was happy to return to find the same smiling owner and the familiarly delicious menu. You Must try the NWBLT. Parmesan bagel is my choice & If you’re feeling zesty, swap the mayo for cream cheese and keep the mustard, you wont be disappointed!

In an area full of restaurant chains & fast food, this mom n pop bagel deli is a most welcome addition. Friendly owners, yummy bagels & breakfast sandwiches. I frequent this spot when I want to treat myself to some carbs, a lunch date w friends, or before a long drive to Seattle. Would give 5 stars if they carried hummus & had more comfortable seating. Support small businesses!

This place is a disappointing and mixed bag. Heres my opinion: 1. The staff was not very friendly. I got the feeling we were being helped by the owners which usually proves good service, I also got the feeling that we were a hassle for wanting some bagel sandwiches… 2. The food was very good, bagels tasted fresh, and the lox were great. 3. The portions were outrageous. My Bagel with lox did not even have enough lox to cover one half of the bagel. There was approximately 4 pieces of bottle cap sized lox on my entire bagel sandwich. 4. They had a number of frozen yogurt machines along one wall, which seemed very appealing… and had it not been the morning i would have been all over it. Over all, the only reason I would go back here is because it is close to my girlfriends apartment, not because its a great spot.
