Yummiest brunch from here made for the perfect Saturday date. We’ll definitely be returning!

Definitely a great atmosphere to eat at! The staff gives excellent service, the food is delightful, plenty of options to choose from. Many different types of food. The drinks are superb! You definitely need to go and eat here if you haven’t already! Thumbs way up!

Yet another awesome restaurant we went to in Vancouver, WA! Since we couldn’t leave the dog by herself much Steve ducked in here and got their Pollo Bowl to go. We got some food at another place as well and then headed back to the hotel room to enjoy our take out orders. The Pollo Bowl was amazing! Fresh, flavorful and wonderful! Yes, even as take out! We had a great meal in the hotel but under different circumstances we would love to dine in the actual restaurant sometime! Great food!

Great food but service wasn’t the greatest. The server was nice, but distracted. She was the only server with one additional training on her first day. Not sure whose idea was it to have only one trained employee during the lunch hour, but I would advise having two plus the trainee in the future. Also, I ordered a bottle of champagne with the meal. There were six of us, yet the server did not ask how many glasses we wanted. Instead, she brought out five filled glasses saying that the bottle filled them all. First, I have never ordered a bottle of something without it being brought to the table with an appropriate number of glasses, and second, only four people in our party wanted champagne(one wasn’t drinking and one preferred a beer). The person who wanted a beer asked for something really dark, to which the server said she thought she had something and brought out an IPA. I would recommend training on alcohol serving etiquette. Again, server was nice and food was great. Service was a little subpar for what I was expecting.

My daughter and I went in on December 24th. We knew they were closing soon and were going to eat quickly and go. We walked in and immediately a waitress rudely said, «You know we’re closing in a few minutes, right?» My daughter said, «We thought you closed at 2:00 today.» She said, «Yeah. In a couple minutes.» I looked at the time. It was 1:39. I told her, «So, we have 21 minutes.» She didn’t say anything. We sat down. 3 waitresses around us were cleaning. No one offered us menus. My daughter asked one of them for menus. She was nicer than the other waitress, but she brought us waters and no menus. We sat there for a couple more minutes. I told my daughter, «It’s obvious they want us to leave, and, I don’t want anyone spitting in our food.» So, we left. I totally understand that it was Christmas eve and they probably just wanted their work day to be over. But, it’s still a business. Why be open if the wait staff is going to treat people like that? And, if they had actually given us menus, taken our order right away, we would have gotten out of there quickly.

Came here for brunch today. Everything the three of us had was delicious! I had the Huevos Rancheros bowl. I also was able to try the pumpkin praline pancakes, which were the best thing we had at the table. Overall, very happy with our meal!

I thought the food here was ok. They advertise themselves as modern American cuisine and I would say they are basically a sandwich shop. The décor is fairly modern, but even then my chair had stains all over it, the menus were worn out, and the coasters looked like they salvaged them from the trash can of a bar. We had Sriracha shrimp which was definitely precooked and microwaved, which made it kind of rubbery; the same was true for my wife’s chicken. The flavors are good but there needs to be more attention to quality.

Update: Been here several times, and every time the food is at least 4 stars. I originally gave just 2 stars in this review due to extremely sloooooow service, but after an amazing and promptly-served lunch earlier this week(pumpkin & green apple soup to go with a chicken club good enough to redefine a good chicken club) and breakfast sandwiches this a.m., I gotta be fair and update this to 4 stars. The only thing keeping me from 5 stars are the recent multiple slow experiences. But if you want top-notch breakfast or lunch sandwiches, and a yummy soup on a rainy winter day, this is your spot.

Having been here a few times in the last year, I gotta say this place is a gem and an absolute asset to downtown Vancouver. The food is, and I don’t say this lightly, incredible. The Mac and Cheese is creamy, cheesy, and steaming hot. Some of the best I’ve had. Really. The salads are pretty amazing too. The baked goat cheese and pear salad is exactly as it sounds: fresh, crisp, rich and 100 percent delicious from first bite to last. PNW on a plate. I’m not sure why there are so many middling reviews here, but take my word for it and give this place a try. You’ll be glad you did!

I came in on a Friday afternoon to have lunch with a friend, and the dining room was quite empty. I believe there were two other tables that were being occupied. Considering that, we ordered and about 8 minutes later our food was brought out to us, which was nice. I had the Mac & Cheese which was absolutely divine. Ooey, gooey, cheesy goodness, topped off with panko breadcrumbs for that little crisp to complete the dish. The portion size was hugeee, so unless you’re really hungry, I would say to share with someone. The waitress that served us was nice, our table was clean, the place was quiet. I enjoyed myself and would recommend this place to any lover of Mac & Cheese, you won’t regret it!

Stopped in Friday afternoon for a late lunch. The waitress was super friendly and we sat near the windows for some good people watching. I had the infamous chicken waffle sandwich. Although it isn’t something I’d normally order, I’m glad I tried it. My man had the pesto flat bread and it was also very tasty. We both had the Luxe Iced Tea(their own version of a Long Island made with pomegranate juice) and it was pretty hairy but a nice way to end a stressful week. Cute place, definitely stop by and try their happy hour specials.

The restaurant is lovely. Great location. Service was fantastic. I was not thrilled with my pulled pork sandwich. It was served on a cold cheddar roll, which did not compliment the sandwich. The pulled pork was mushy and I didn’t like the sauce. Coffee was good. My companion had the BLTA. She could barely chew the bacon but the avocado was perfect.

A few of my favorite gals and I came here last month and we had an awesome experience! The food was delicious and looked amazing as well. The service was great too. We all ordered Raspberry Lemonades, which were a bit on the sweeter side, but I honestly didn’t mind since I have a sweet tooth. We also got a starter of Parmesan Garlic Fries– which turned out to be one of the best fries I’ve ever tried. I got a Chicken & Waffle sandwich, which I’ve never tried, but it was so yummy! My gals got Margherita Flatbread, Guacamole Bacon Burger, and Pollo Asado Bowl; which I can attest they were all delicious too. Overall, the prices were reasonable and I would definitely recommend!

We have been here twice for brunch and overall have been pleased with the food and service. I was blown away by the huevos rancheros bowl last time, not as much by the French toast this morning. My husband has devoured the monte Christo both times, but it was a little sweet for his taste this time around. Waffles were perfectly cooked last time, this time they appeared to have been toasted to re-heat I wish they would switch to some quality link sausage instead of the patties. However, I love that their sides are an affordable price and make adding some protein to your meal a no-brainer. I would love to swing in for a cinnamon roll and coffee some morning. They are huge and homemade…

Went for brunch with a friend and we loved it! Lovely atmosphere. We wanted to sit outside but unfortunately work was being done on the roof and they asked us to eat inside. NBD. Huevos rancheros bowl-Amazing! Full of flavor, so much variety! Monte cristo– amazing! Perfect! Great fries, too. Americano with flavor– just right. You won’t be disappointed. I’ll be back to try more!

So overall I found this restaurant to be decent, but there were definitely some elements of the experience that weren’t great. Pros: –presentation of the food –overall décor –ingredients in recipes –decent price point Cons: –it’s hard to understand what the order process is; do you use the counter or menus? –the dining room is kind of cold and uncomfortable. Their atmosphere could definitely stand to be a bit more cozy –the wait staff is kind of awkward I’m only giving them four instead of three stars because having a nice playing presentation means a lot to me

Get: Huevos Rancheros($ 9) Waffle Egg Sandwich + tomato & spinach I was a little scared about this place because of some of the negative /sub-par reviews, but my entire party of 4 were all very impressed with our breakfast /brunch. I shared a Huevos Rancheros and melted into the seat with pure ecstasy. It was very good and a nice option if you’re trying to avoid eating all the waffles on the planet(like my brain was telling me to do). Our friends had two varieties of Waffle Sandwiches and they all agreed the waffles themselves were incredible. Fluffy, not too sweet, and a perfect pairing with egg or sausage and maybe some fresh veggies. Coffee was a little steep at $ 2.50 for a cup(refillable) but it was also very smooth and delicious. We arrived on a Sunday which is Happy Hour all day. This includes some drink specials as well as some discounts around lunch /dinner time. The menu was very promising and we will be sure to stop back in and explore our remaining options. Service was prompt and friendly. Seating both indoors and out which also allowed for some entertaining people watching. Positives: Great brunch options, best waffles I’ve had in a long time, nice downtown location Negatives: Not much — maybe the coffee price? But yet the coffee drinks(espresso, etc) were reasonable!

The Wife was chauffeuring me around to and from the Doctor again when we decided to grab something to eat. The Wife has a client and civic type meetings all the time downtown in The Couve, so when we are there I am thankful for her knowledge of the food landscape. If you’re lucky enough to live in Vancouver you quickly find that there is a east side versus west side kind of thing going on so if you live on one side you tend to stay more on that side. Being east side residents it’s always neat to venture to the other side. Without telling me she drove straight to Luxe, someplace I have never been so that was really neat to try something new. You can tell from outside that Luxe has a super clean modern feel, located on the first floor of the Vancouver Center Building it is smack in the middle of everything with central downtown on one side and Esther Short Park on the other. As you walk up you see you have a decision to make, seating inside or outside, we chose inside this time. Walking in you get the immediate smells of the place, it is not describable as one scent but the maybe the melding of everything served that day, it was pleasant and welcoming. Staff seated us quickly, we were there before Noon so the rush hadn’t started. The seats are wonderfully comfortable! The tables are not right on top of each other either. The menu is fairly simple, they take classic dishes and throw a different spin on them. Salads, appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, mac and cheese, but upgraded with, as Emeril Lagasse would put it, with some BAM! Being my first time The Wife suggested that I try the Chicken and Waffle sandwich, two waffles, coated chicken breast, Gruyère cheese, honey dijon spread, bacon and greens. I ordered the fries as my side, The Wife went with the salad. As we talked about things married couples talk about we got our Iced Tea, but we could have gone another way, Luxe is also a bar with a full menu of adult beverage goodness which makes coming back for Happy Hour a must. We talked, and sipped excellent iced tea, but all the while I was looking at my beautiful Wife(as you do) a mischievous temptress taunted me from the front counter. What a gorgeous creature she was luring me from the loving gaze of my Wife, but let me tell you about that Pastry display! Dessert here looks like you can’t go wrong, alas we didn’t partake this time, but it is on the list. Our sandwiches arrived at our table hot and stacked! Literally, hot, we cut ours in half and waited for a moment for it to cool. The Wife’s salad was good sized for a side salad and my fries were golden and seasoned perfectly. In a moment I couldn’t wait anymore and grabbed my sandwich, gave it a little smash down to reduced the sheer height of it and took a bite. There is no word for the initial blast of tastes that fill your mouth but it is a positive experience. Gruyère is the perfect cheese, honey dijon is the perfect spread and waffles, well heck, who doesn’t love a well cooked waffle? The server was great, attentive without being annoying, friendly without being well rehearsed saccharine sweet and on the spot with refills. Oh! The refills! I always groan inwardly when the giant pitcher of beverage comes around for refills, but Luxe used a little glass cruet with a stopper in the top to refill tea with, it gives you the feeling that the smaller batch is the reason why the tea is so good. Plus it looks so darn cool! I want to come back and try the Mac and Cheese, and a dessert, and breakfast, and happy hour and and and… What a gem of a place in downtown Vancouver USA! I cannot honestly give you a good handicapped access grade here because a lot of the access is controlled by the City of Vancouver, but once in the door it is excellent.

From reviews I wasn’t as impressed with what I saw. The restaurant or more café had limited options and it wasn’t quite the fare that I was expecting. They were out of what I wanted. The service was friendly and caring. Sitting inside was colder than outside. Nothing too exciting and I was excited to try this place out. More menu options guys!

Service is great. Food is great. I love this place a lot. The food is always prepared on super cute plates and always looks and tastes great. I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area for a cute little get together with friends or a date :) I’m just obsessed with their vanilla lattes :)
