This review is a bit late, but during my stay in the Portland area I made a point to sample all of the new breweries in Vancouver. In addition to this place having the beers that I enjoyed the most of any in Vancouver, the 5k IPA is one of my favorites of all time. What I appreciated about these beers is that they were varied and flavorful. A lot of newer breweries have the tendency to make several different beers that mostly taste the same; this one is the opposite, which is actually really impressive given their relative size and youth. Additionally, the atmosphere is great. They’ve got a ping pong table and a number of other games. They also frequently have food trucks roll through, so you can even get food here too. Would be a great place to bring friends. Great to see a brewery already on such a good track, and I expect even greater tastes to come. I will be counting the days until my next 5k IPA.

One of my favorite local breweries in the area. I have been by a few times and every time enjoyed the beer and company. I love the location and open air drinking room with large garage doors to enjoy the warm spring or summer evenings. I would prefer a slightly darker interior at night as opposed to the super bright lights, but it’s a great place to meet a group of friends. Tonight’s beers dressed to impress. The Boston Red on nitro was beautiful to watch and the Hawaiian Hydration IPA was seriously one of my favorite IPAs so far.

Biggest surprise in the most unlikely of places. Have finally found two IPA’s that I truly can enjoy. Coupled with Farrar’s bean dip, you have dinner!!! Very fun crowd! Pool tables, but definitely not a pool hall. Board games. And beer!!! Doesn’t feel like Vancouver… industrial chic doesn’t quite describe it either, but dang that’s good beer and beans.

Hmmm. Well the beer here was pretty good but not the best I thought while on our marathon tour of breweries in the Vancouver area. By the time I got here I had a pretty good buzz going on. I got their Imperial Stout here. It wasn’t too bad. Not as flavorful as some of the other places we hit but still pretty decent. It had a fine, warming aura to it but I didn’t think it was as complex in taste. Steve had another kind of beer here and kind of had a luke warm attitude towards what he had as well. We had to take turns going in because we had our dog with us and we babysat her in the car while the other drank inside so we were not able to sample each other’s beers.

You gotta check this place out! Delicious beer, super cool theme, and an amazing space for meetings, group events and parties! Their space is really clean, spacious, has lots of seating and even gives you a cool view of all their brewing equipment. Not to mention free pool, ping pong and corn hole! There are often food carts right out side so come hungry or even bring your own food/order delivery to your table(they welcome it!) I think this place is going to get really popular, really fast. Their beer is already in a ton of local businesses, I highly recommend checking them out first hand!

I really want to like this brewery because of its theme and location, but the beer is just so so. The location is cool in an old manufacturing lot with a warehouse space. The barman was very friendly and talkative. I love running and I love brewing, so it seemed like a win win. I tried 6 of the beers and while they weren’t horrible, they weren’t very good. Considering the proximity to so many great breweries in the area, one can find better pretty easily. The beers tended to be slightly unbalanced with too many bittering hops relative to the aroma and flavoring hops, for a strong bitter backend on most of the beers. Oh, and they will fill growlers, but not to the neck so you’ll get a lot of air in there which stales the beer quickly, and it loses its carbonation fast. All in all, not bad, but not good for beer.

The brewery layout is good but the beers are very so-so. The black IPA is truely awful. i really hope the beers improve because tis has got great potential

This is the best beer in Vancouver! Get in here! Really! Great IPA’S and interesting Belgian Styles. On the downside, no food. But nothing is perfect, but the beer is really good. Did I say the beer is REALLY good?

Ghost Runners tap room is a great find. Nestled in an small industrial complex it is not that easy to find. However, if you follow the«Beer» signs and walk through the door, you will find a fun place with great beer. The beers are changing all the time as the owner, Jeff, keeps coming up with new ideas. He’s always happy to let you taste his creations and when you sit back and enjoy a pint you realize you have found a special place. They are only open 3 days a week and limited hours, which makes it even more special. Great local brewery with the best beer in town.

This place was great! It’s close to where we live so it was convenient. We walked in the door and there was a good amount of seating. The owner introduced himself by name which meant a lot to us. The beer was really tasty and the prices were great! They don’t normally serve food but do have some snacks. I would completely recommend this place if you wanted to grab a couple tasty beers in the Vancouver area!

I was driving east on 63rd after leaving a friend’s house a few weeks ago and noticed some large white flags boasting GHOSTRUNNER on them. It was a somewhat windy day so it took the flags a few flips before I saw the word BREWERY. Say what?! Brewery? On 63rd in Vancouver?! Mind. Blown. I tell my best beer-drinking buddy that there is a new-to-me taproom so close to home. We get stoked together and set a date to make a visit. Prior to our adventure, I looked GR up on Facebook to get an idea of the ambiance and if there was a food source. They responded quickly that currently they only carry snacks like chips and nuts, but that Round Table Pizza and Pita Pit deliver to the taproom. Sweet!(We didn’t end up eating, but did talk to the owner about possible food options!) We head in on a Saturday evening planning to sample and possibly order takeout. We each got a sampler to ensure we sufficiently tested all offerings. Pleasantly surprised that all of them were delicious. That’s an anomaly among newer craft brewers! Also, their prices are phenomenal! For a while, it was just the 2 of us and one of the owners named Amy. She was really fun to chat with and we got to learn about their history :) The taproom is really cool. It’s in an industrial district with a fun vibe. They have a small pool table and a handful of various sized seating arrangements. It was a great time with excellent beer and perfect company. Will definitely be back!

Yippie ki ohhhhh … Yippie ki yaaaay Ghost … Runners … in the Couve. Small-batch craft beers brewed from the production-only Ghost Runners Brewery in Vancouver, Washington may be only a few years old, but local bars and restaurants know a good thing when they drink it. Ghost Runners has been selling their hand-crafted beers at dozens of local establishments like Killer Burger, Blind Onion, Twilight Pizza, Tommy O’s, Pizza Schmizza, and Bortalami’s for awhile, but I had the pleasure to join a private event at their production facilities. Oh the folks behind the brewery were charmers, but the real pleasure was drinking a variety of their seasonal brews … and loving each of them. Their motto is «You deserve a great beer.» and all I have to say to that is, «You’re right, I do.» Here’s what I had the chance to Ghost Run ‘n Sip: * Boston Irish Red Ale 6.8% ABV; 40 IBUs * 5k IPA6.4% ABV; 95 IBUs * Negative Split Stout(Nitro) 6.8% ABV; 35 IBUs * Hellacious Repeats Double IPA8.4% ABV; 85 IBUs Each beer at Ghost Runners Brewery bears a running-themed name because the owners are hardcore runners … perfect for blending healthy lifestyle choices with a true love of beer. Anyway, I know I had you at beer. So, keep an eye out for Ghost Runners on tap at your local pub and then stop by their production facility when you want to order your own batch or fill your own keg or growler.
