Let me see… I believe Trap Door was our third brewery while on our weekend tour. I got a Stout here which was pretty good and refreshing. The atmosphere was relaxed but was pretty busy. No surprise there. While there were other breweries that I enjoyed more while on this trip the beer is still solid and is worth going in for a round.

Nice location, space, and a friendly bar staff. The food trucks were closed when I arrived, so I didn’t get a chance to try them. So mainly this review is about the beer. I had a flight and tried their 5 drafts available: Holidank Winter Ale, Kolsch, Walter Wheat, Trap Door IPA, and Tiger Trap Coffee Stout. The Holidank was a nicely balanced hoppy winter ale, which was very pleasant, but the rest of the beers were lacking. The Kolsch and Wheat were both pretty acidic and not really true to either style, the IPA was a little strong on the bittering hops on the back end, and the Coffee Stout was a little over the top on the coffee notes. All in all, 2 out of 5 for beer. The brewery just opened up a couple of months ago, so I hope they fine-tune their beer recipes as this place has potential, but as is, the beers are just so-so.

So happy that more breweries are popping up in Vancouver! Love the variety but this brewery was especially impressive. We met the owner and his passion was obvious and refreshing. I had the fresh hop IPA and it was actually the best that I have had this season. Love the idea of the food carts outside. Overall, great place to grab a pint or two with friends!

I was roaming around doing some filming locally for a developer in Vancouver and ran into the owner who invited us in and let us grab some interior shots. Great guy, great place and a surprisingly balanced and well made beer(I say surprisingly because it’s more misses than hits with brand new breweries) but these guys know their stuff. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a good beer in or around the Portland/Vancouver area. Also there is a Mexican and a Thai food cart right outside their patio that you can order food at and eat inside the brewery. Cheers guys!

Great new brewery spot in downtown Vancouver. Owners are wonderful and staff is engaging and friendly. It’s not a huge place but it still has plenty of seating, including a large communal table for a large group. Really love their selection of brews but I’m particularly fond of their stout. Two food truck provide food for the brewery from E-Thai and Taco City. Food is great from both but it’s nice that I can have Pad Thai and hubby can get his Nacho fix. Great place for date night or a wind down after work.

I live right across the street so totally stoked to get to walk across the street for good beer! I’ve been in about 3 times so far and always a great atmosphere, excellent customer service and perfect options for good beer. The food carts outside are top notch and you can order and bring your food in to Trap Door– leaves the options open on food options. Looking forward to making this a regular meeting spot in the future.

What a great addition to uptown! I really like the space inside as well as the patio. Interesting murals inside. I had a glass of the IPA and it was very tasty and I can’t wait to see what else they brew up. The taco food cart near the patio had some good food and really good verde salsa chocked full of cilantro.

Great new brewery to add to Vancouver’s roster. They offer a fresh hopped IPA and a wheat ale and a couple of guest taps. I’m not an IPA gal but it was tasty. My money’s on the wheat ale; refreshing and not light. They don’t sell food but one step outside the patio offers a couple of food cart options. Amazing!
