Very low key Japanese steakhouse, in a strip mall, but the food was excellent and prepared quickly. I’d gotten sushi to go here before and it was very good, this was the first time we sat down to eat and it was better than expected. The sushi was again very good and the tenderloin appeared to be quite lean and was very tender. The chef and wait staff were all attentive and friendly, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

One of my favorite places to go. Love the grill, I always order chicken breast and new York steak combo. Delicious with yakisoba noodles, veggies and a side of fried rice. Always friendly service!

That was NOT sushi, people. Raise your standards. Really sweet server. Kind of a dirty place with a weird smell. Was almost completely empty at dinner time.

What a nice surprise! Being a huge fan of Benihana’s, I hadn’t tried Fuji yet. It was really good. We had a spider roll! Yum their fried rice is delicious. We had the chicken and calamari :-) everything fresh and tasty. The chef did a great job and the service was great. I definitely will return.

Definitely my favorite place for sushi and their grill dinner is hard to beat! The service is always nice and food is fresh with delicious combinations! The only complaint I have is that I order to-go a lot and their online menu has said«coming soon» for two years! Please put menu online.

If you want to have your meal prepared on the grill, I suggest you reconsider. I met my friend there for lunch last week and it seemed like they couldn’t care less about making our meals nice. We both ordered filet mignon and it was rushed so fast, there was no flavor and it was tough. It’s nearly impossible to make filet tough, as it’s the most tender steak. I was very disappointed.

Disappointed. Drove here from Portland. Walked in at 2:05pm to be told they closed at 2pm. No hours listed anywhere on Unilocal or website. Please put your hours online.

We ordered nigiri and rolls, tea and water. We filled out the sushi order and were at the sushi bar. We got tea and water and had to ask for refills. Spouse ordered a martini but they were out of the alcohol. Nigiri was nice and large. The spider and shrimp tempura rolls were so so. Thin on the soft shell crab in the roll… very thin. Lost of cream cheese in the shrimp temura roll and again, thin on the tempura. More of a budget roll at the high price. Nirgiri would be an A– but the rolls were C-. Do not it order the rolls as they were pretty poor in main ingredients. Waiter was non existent. I had to flag hi. Down for tea, etc… I did see were they messed up an order and pulled the«nightly special sushi roll» aside. A few minutes later a couple came in and ordered the same roll and they took it off the oops plate and served it to them. It had been fried and was sitting there for a bit so do t know if it was cold. I am sure the couple who ordered it was amazed that the cooked sushi order arrived one minute after they ordered it. Wonder if it was still hot. I would go back for the nigiri but would pass on the rolls. One item we noted was the crab in the roll was the fake Krab which turned us off from ordering any more rolls. At least it was noted. They only had one sushi chef on a busy Friday night so it took a bit for our order but he was quick I making the sushi. Go for the nigiri. The hibachi bar looked tempting so perhaps we might try that next time. Oh, one last item… women’s bathroom was out of towels on a busy night

They were so great, very accommodating to my picky request and my overly-hungry, also picky daughter. I had as delicious roll that was wrapped in cucumber rather than rice and it was amazing! The kiddo had the steak kids meal and loved watching him cook it. Tori was an absolute sweetheart! Will definitely be coming back! Thanks!

Some of the best sushi I have been able to find in Vancouver. Staff was super friendly and food was brought out pretty quickly.

So disappointed tonight. The edamame was old, and so was the fish. The shrimp tasted like dirt. And the only reason i brought my girlfriend here was that I has a great lunch here last year. I can’t think of any reason to return

Great little place found on Unilocal while traveling from Sacramento. People are friendly, sushi chef knows his business. Try the«butter» tuna nigiri, the scallop nigiri and the Brandon roll(a whole avocado stuffed w/spicy tuna, deep fried and topped with krab, green onion, tobiko and spicy sauce). It’s something I’ve never seen before and it’s delicious.

As far as I’m concerned this is the best sushi place around. I never recommend another place! They also have a grill that non sushi lovers can get! The specials are always amazing, and I haven’t had a bad experience. The staff is great and the food is even better. It’s a little hidden, but it won’t disappoint.

Hands down, worst sushi I’ve ever had. slimy tako, mush rice, rolls had literally fallen apart before they got to the table. Nah brah! No go Fuji!

Pretty good. The Choo Choo Roll was nothing special. The Sara Roll was a good mix of Shriracha, cream cheese, avocado, and tempura shrimp, but not nearly as good as the Kampai Sushi in Redding.

In a word fantastic. In a second word generous. The food is fantastic quality and worth every penny. Speaking of the pennies the portions are generous. I went here alone the other day having worked a full hard day without breakfast lunch or dinner came there and spent 20 dollars on delicious delicious hibachi steak and ate so much that I took home left overs and i’m a big guy who’s fairly good at putting away his food. For the extra 2 dollars the fried rice is amazing. They also have a great deal in their dinner for 2. Steak, Chicken, and Prawns for 40 bucks. Add in an extra 1 for white meat and an extra 4 for 2 servings of fried rice and you have an absolutely amazing feast for just 45 dollars. If you go on a week day and enjoy the 25% off sushi you have a feast made for a king that will last you several meals.

TIP: Sushi is 25% off Mon-Thurs! What I tried: Taylor Roll: YOUHAVETOASKSPECIALFORTHIS. ITISNOTONTHEMENU. I totally recommend this roll. It has a cucumber wrap instead of rice. Filled with tempura shrimp, cucumber, salmon, tuna, and avocado. So refreshing and doesn’t make you crazy full. Try it!!! Choo Choo roll. Three simple words. Amazing. spicy tuna, cucumbers, topped with seared salmon, Fuji sauce, and massago. Miso soup: This was just okay for me. It was a little too salty but still pretty good. Green Tea: hot and refreshing. Squeeze some lemon into it. You’ll be happy. Overall: Excellent atmosphere filled with aromas from the grill and dim lighting throughout. I will be back again And again. This is approximately my 6th or 7th visit to this Vancouver location. I always leave satisfied. The grill food is enough for two women or 3 children to split. Tasty too and the chef puts on a little show with his utensils and bursts of flames. Must visit FUJIS! HOURS are a little different: Mon-Fri. 11:30 — 2:00 then 430−10pm Saturday only open 4:30−10pm Sunday only open 3−9pm

Use to love this place but stopped coming here a year or so ago due to always hitting them either when they were closed(between lunch and dinner) or avoiding their raised weekend pricing. Tonight we happened to be in the area around dinner time and stopped by to grab some food to go. Unfortunately, we attempted to order but they were out of tofu — so no real vegetarian options unless you are ok with seafood or you count the fake crab they use. Speaking of fake crab, they use to have the most amazing sunomono salad and while the vinaigrette is still good the octopus was almost non-existent and the crab is, as mentioned before, fake. So sad they went downhill. Hopefully they will straighten out their tofu suppliers and go back to using quality ingredients.
