Complete Exterminating

I had a huge Yellow Jacket Nest. Ted came over and killed all of the Yellow Jackets in my backyard. Price was fair and service was great.

We got a great quote and contracted with CE to do the work. We understood we needed a 30-​day follow up and then four three-​month follow-​ups. We were good with that arrangement. After the first application, the owner required that we pay for not only for that initial work but the 30-​day follow up work as well. My husband stated that he preferred to pay just for the work done at this point, and then for subsequent work as it was done. The owner got hostile and stated we wouldn’t find a better rate anywhere. My husband acknowledged this (he had done his homework) and confirmed we wanted CE to do the work and that if it was an issue, he would pay in advance. The owner stated he would do no further work for us. Even after my husband apologized for the misunderstanding and again confirmed he would abide by his requirement that we prepay, the owner refused to do any further work. We will now have to start over again with another company. My advice, steer clear and pay a bit more the work with a company that will follow through on what they promise.

I had wasps problem in the front yard of my house. The opening was on the ground, under a small tree. In the beginning there was one opening, about the size of the opening of a one GA milk jug. One day I noticed a second opening about 16″ from the first one and wasps were busy in and out of both openings. I called a nationally known company first to get a quote. It was not easy to get a simple and direct answer. With persistence, I was able to get a quote that it will be in the ball park of $ 100 – 200. The second company was one that was referred to me by a Portland company that has good Unilocal rating. It was $ 129 for the job. COMPLETE EXTERMINATING was the last one I called. The quote was $ 69-​$ 129.
Todd, the owner, arrived on time and only a few hours from the time I made the call. After initial assessment, he reaffirm the price of $ 79, minus 10% senior discount.
It took him less than «ONE MINUTE» to complete the work. He squirted some liquid into the opening without causing disturbance to the colony. I did not see how he did it the first time. I only saw the act when he repeated the same process the second time in order to satisfy my curiosity.
I asked him a unrelated question. About mice and took him around other corner of the house. He discovered a carpenter ant on the flower bed and suggested preventive spraying around the house for$ 79. I declined. He advised to call him next year for a free reassessment.
The wasps still came in and out as usual several hours after the treatment. I called and left him a message. He called me back later that day and reassured me of the result expected. They are gone now!
