Good food, average selection of cold beer, 6 worn pool tables. The service, they try hard. And BAD karaōke.

Ok so I’m not a «bar enthusiast» but I can appreciate good food and good drink… Now for my review, I wish there were a 3.5 option, but since there is not I decided to be nice and give a better review. So I meet some friends here for drinks and karaōke(again remember I don’t go to bars) I might have come on a good night, but I am reviewing on what I saw and tasted… So big disappointment, they only had one 12yr sub par scotch, but at least they had it. I ordered there jalapeño stuffed cheese sticks which were really good. The singers of the night were actually quite good, out of a 4 hr period I only had 4 songs/singers that were questionable. Over all good place to go hang out and have fun.

Love this place my new go to bar, friendly people, great bartenders, cool DJS! Who always put me in rotation even when they don’t have time, much appreciated. The bartenders are also inviting, especially the younger man who’s there almost everyday, he’s super funny and easy to conversation with. Karaōke every mon, fri, and sat. I love it! Great vibes with awesome non-judgemental people.

Awesome! The boyfriend and I wanted somewhere to watch Sunday night football and get some food. The place wasn’t terribly busy, but it was a Sunday night. We had wings, which had a great crust. We also had onion rings which are big and have lots of crust. They were a tad greasy format taste but my boyfriend loved them. Last, we shared their 8oz sirloin steak, mmmm! It was exactly medium rare and juicy. Good deal for $ 12.50. Alcohol was good, and the free pool is fun. We will for sure come back :)

Great place! Polite and upbeat bartenders, very tentative to your needs. Lots of fun stuff to do, great layout, just all around a really fun bar to spend your evening. Even if you go alone you can watch people play pool at the bar stools surrounding the pool tables. Its very open, spacious and airy, not stuffy and smelling of man crack like most of the bars I’ve been to.

Our server Ashley was fantastic. Attentive, sweet and not overbearing. Our burgers were yummy and had fresh ingredients and the beer was cold so we were happy. Unfortunately the«ambiance» sent us running the opposite direction. Like all dive bars, it was filthy but if you don’t expect that from a place like this you’re pretty dense. Our major complaint: we have no desire to return due to the completely obnoxious bartender. As a fellow Unilocaler stated, it’s one thing to have to deal with another patron that is acting like an ass. Its another to be subjected to that behavior from your servers. We entered and sat at a table ready for some grub and a game of pool. We were immediately greeted by this bartenders repeated high pitched squeals(not sure why??) It sounded like we were at a pig wrestling show! It made conversation impossible as she was louder than even the jukebox and completely distracting. While customers were attempting to enjoy their beers at the bar, she was squaking song lyrics at the top of her lungs while slamming her hand repeatedly against the bar directly in front of them. Her behavior convinced me that she had to be trashed! When«Wrecking Ball» came on we both pounded the rest of our beers and ran for the hills as we couldn’t handle another verse from this wreck. Never even got our game of pool in. I am assuming she was just looking for a bit of attention but Jeebus H. Christy.

Love this bar. Had my 21st here and had some great times since! I don’t come here too often, but every time I’m there, I have a good time. Cheap drinks, fun karaōke. Multiple pool tables, foosball table, darts, very spacious.

The Back Alley is amazing, when I still was living in Portland I’d occasionally come up for punk/metal shows they’d have. A year ago a red head playing in a band caught my eye, and at a show in April he caught my eye again. We both happened to be single and have been inseparable ever since. However this is is not the only reason I love the Back Alley. The staff here is amazing, Kelly is rocking and Sara makes the most amazing rainbow shots. I felt like a regular and a member of the Back Alley family after only a few visits. The prices are good, it’s always fun, and the staff is about amazing as it gets. If you feel like partying in the Couve this is your place!

I really really really enjoyed our bartender. She is very talented at making drinks, and the pricing isnt bad either. I had a Malibu Sunrise and was soooo delicious. She didn’t even have to look up drinks, she knew them which seems like its hard to come by sometimes. Other than that its your everyday run of the mill bar with pool tables and karaōke. Its a little Divey, but I am not complaining.

Cheap drinks and edible bar food. The clientele is a mix of young 20-something’s looking to party, karaōke superstars, bar regulars, and special interest groups. Not a bad place to stop in for a pint or mixed drink on a slow Tuesday night. $ 4 drink specials through September 2012!

Best Bar Food I’ve found in the Couve. Prices are reasonable $ 6-$ 9 range. Drinks are reasonable too. The Burgers are OUTOFTHISWORLD! Flavorful and Juicy! Haven’t found a better burger at a Bar here in the Couve. Served with choice of side(Fries, Potato Salad, Tater Tots, etc). Almost everything here is scratch-made, so you can’t really go wrong with anything you order. If you like Cheese, then the Pepper-Jack Cheese Sticks are a must try. Unless your really really hungry, stick with the ½ order which is 3 Cheese Sticks. Three you may say? Three? Really, Just Three? These aren’t your pencil size Sticks, no these Puppies are the size of a stick of butter. I’m Serious! Don’t believe me? Go to Back Alley and try them yourself.
