This is my favorite Mexican food. I have probably eaten here twenty times in the last year. They have a jalapeño salsa that is spicy and amazing and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I typically get a vegetarian burrito wet with this salsa. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is super friendly, always willing to deal with my picky-ness. I love going in there and having them know my order(no salsa or tomatoes, wet with jalapeño). Seriously, from cooks to servers I have always only been treated with respect and smiles and happiness. It has easy parking and food is fresh and comes out quickly. And the price is ridiculously low, I can’t believe that I can have so much food for such a small amount, definitely one of the best deals in the area.

Pretty good food and friendly service. Tacos were good. Not a huge place but enough seating available. The place is clean.

Me and my husband both love Mexican food! This place hands down is great authentic Mexican food! The food was fresh, seasoned well, and the service was outstanding! Our waitress“Marisol” was very attentive, checked on us frequently and was very polite! Will for sure come back for the great food and the great service!

Fun place to get Mexican food in a casual setting. Reasonable prices and the biggest burrito I’ve seen in my life!

The restaurant is very clean and nice décor. The chips with bean dip is a nice change up. Friendly staff and the food was great! Also, menu is very robust and at reasonable prices. If you are on Van Nuys Blvd… this a great must stop.

Good food. Good salsa bar with limes. Aguas frescas. Place was clean and presentable. Service could have been a little friendlier. I ordered a steak lunch special and it was pretty cheap.

I really enjoyed not only the food but the friendly service. Now that’s what makes a good establishment. The food is authentic Mexican style. The servings are large and very tasty. They have a salsa bar with everything you need. They serve you chips and a delicious bean dip with your meal. The horchata I had looked and tasted home made. Parking is tight, but come down and find a place then prepare yourself for a pleasant surprise. A delightful experience all around.

After being disappointed by another restaurant we came here instead for Mothers day! The place is a bit small and cozy, and as we were ordering the nice girl at the counter gave me a beautiful red rose and wished me a happy mothers day which I thought was very sweet! The food is good and the hospitality even better! Definitely coming here more often, and it’s so close to home :-)

My husband and I tried it for the first time and we ordered steak nachos, a steak torta, and a steak burrito. The nachos were great except for the red salsa the out at the bottom which makes them all mushy. The torta was small and the meat portion was skimpy so we asked for more, and my burrito was just okay. A little on the salty side. We eat at a new Mexican food place every week so compared to other places the food quality was just… meh. Now the service– that was excellent. The two ladies in the front went to each table to make sure every guest was okay. They were exceptionally friendly and so attentive and just because of the service is why they received 3 stars. The place was clean and stocked and the service was great just the food was not good enough for a return visit.

This is the second time I come here. Everyone is always fast and super friendly. They give you chips and bean dip with any order which is a plus! :D the food is always delicious and fresh. The Jamaica and Horchata are always on point. The girls always keep the dining area super clean and always making sure everything is ok. All in all this place is great! A must try.

THESHORT: I’ve had better at dozens of other places, including Poquito Mas and Baja Fresh. THELONG: Putting aside the fact that I ordered a burrito with chicken and enchilada sauce and received a burrito with beef and mole sauce, this place was just not great. The salsas, and I tried three of them, were nothing special; their only real flavor being«spicy.» The beef I was(incorrectly) given was very low quality. I know, I know: What did I expect from a Van Nuys ghetto Mexican place? But the thing is, for a burrito, a fajita plate, and a «small» side of guacamole, I paid $ 31. That should ensure the quality of meat is better than this. Mrs. Picky’s fajita place was SWIMMING in cheap vegetable oil. She tried to eat the veggies, but they were just too oily. She finally had to give up and just nosh on the extremely bland chicken.(I tried the chicken. The predominate taste was chicken.) The guacamole was the best part, but still not a top 10 I’ve ever had(and I had to add salt to it myself). I gave them 1 star because Unilocal makes me and 1 star because it’s the holidays.

I came here on the weekend, and it was fairly busy. What confused me the most about this restaurant was that they have a register you pay at, and then they bring your food to your table. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t just make it a restaurant and have table side service. The prices aren’t cheap, and for that amount I was somewhat expecting to be waited on. The food quality was good. My friend ordered the steak plate, and he was fairly happy with it. I ordered the shrimp ceviche and was really happy with it. I wouldn’t rush back, however its good quality food, and good service. Just not my cup of salsa: P

Excellent service. This is always my first and only choice when it comes to Mexican food. Always happy to customize any meal, how ever you want it they will make it.

Just as good as the sister restaurant right down the street. A lot smaller but more peaceful on the weekends since they don’t have the band. The food is great. I love the green salsa and the beef tacos.

Stopped here for sunday breakfast. The food is excellent. I had Huevos rancheros, also had a pina drink. The meal comes with chips and lots of salsa to choose from(watch the green one that resembles a guacamole very hot). Service is fast and friendly. Place is clean

This place will be the ruin of me, but like in a good way. Discovered this place only a little while ago. It’s unassuming from the outside — it’s got your typical small Mexican restaurant décor(complete with bars on windows) etc etc etc … but — then I had the SUPERBURRITO! They are not joking with that thing … it really is quite super(both in size and taste) … these hefty 2lb burritos are not to be ordered lightly. It’s actually more of a meal for two. It’s got a great cheesy red sauce on top and the ingredients inside(a blend of beans, cheeses, meats and magic) are fresh and delicious. I also had the Mocajete Burrito once, which was also pretty good — but not as impressive as the Super. These burritos are ideal for a challenge among friends … first to finish wins(but in the end, everyone loses — food comas all around)!!

I have a crush on Tres Hermanos! I feel very Anglo in this very authentic Mexican restaurant! The portions are large, but perhaps priced a bit high for the area. But you know what, I’m willing to pay a little extra. Even though orders are taken at the counter with a numbering system for pickup, this is not a hole-in-the-wall former donut shop. It’s a real restaurant, decorated very cute — a very nice surprise. I’ve been back several times, and have stuck to the tacos, enchiladas, and burritos(can one go wrong with this?). Great chips, and a salsa bar! Olé! Get me drunk on salsa! Although only several employees speak English well, my Espanol is much worse… and I still get what I order just fine. Try grunts and sign language if necessary. Small but ample parking lot. I like it! It’s delicious!
