VERYRUDE! I placed an order through GrubHub and half of my order did not arrive. I called the restaurant and before I even had a chance to explain who I was or what the problem is, I was told that its not their problem, they do not care and I need to contact the service through which I ordered. Worst customer service of all time! A$$HOLES

DONOTORDERFROMHERE!!! The people that work at this establishment have no idea what customer service is. My wife and I ordered through GrubHub(a service which this restaurant subscribes to for delivery service orders). Half of our order was missing and that which did come was not correct. I called the restaurant to resolve the issue and before having the opportunity to explain the situation, I was yelled at and told that only half of my order came in and none of this is the restaurants problem… yet they got paid for my entire order. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and posting this same review on all social media and restaurant review websites. I will have everyone I know post a review and drive this place to 1 star so they know that they can not treat customers this way. SHUTTHISPLACEDOWN

I love their meat, especially lamb chops and chicken. We always buy meat for BBQ there. On our last birthday we decided to order ready grilled meat and veggies. Everything was tasty. The only thing that was not good is the appearance of the eggplants. They overgrilled them and left that burnt skin on, so at home we had to remove the skin cause otherwise eggplants didn’t look appealing at all. Still will recommend this place and will buy meat there.

Meh, it was nothing special. I went there after placing an order on Eat24/Yelp. I was standing at the counter for about 10 minutes before someone even acknowledged my existence. Maybe it was my fault for not making my presence known, but I was standing at the counter for a while making eye contact with still no service. The food was ok, got a Kabob wrap. Nothing special.

Great unique finds for dinner in a hurry. I favorite their grape cleaves and Bulgarian village cheese. They could work on their sanitation a little better. I know middle eastern culture is more abrupt but armenians are not middle eastern to me. Culture s have some similarities however A+

Wonderful selection of baked goods: fresh barbari and poori bread, assorted borek and flat bread with herbs, mushrooms, cheese, spinach, tomatoes, etc., perfect for a savory vegetarian snack. The cream cheese and raisin pastries are the best! Very low prices. They also stock all kinds of lavash, including the paper thin kind and the whole wheat variety. Sometimes they even have organic cage free eggs.

Really good selection of goods, great meat selection(especially for kebabs!) and nice bakery. They have a grill in the back and can make wraps and combo plates. Theyll do custom combos too. Very fair prices. Pretty good service, they speak pretty good English overall, but dont expect service with a smile. Maybe its an armenian thing.(this is not the only place). No tables to sit, its a grocery store. Best bet is to order in advance. Lule Kebabs take about 10 minutes, and regular kebabs 25 or more. They will give you sauce for the wraps or platters if you ask. I had a good deal with the thigh chicken and lule chicken meat that I took to the BBQ a few days ago. Under 4 bucks a lb. An armenian girl at the BBQ was impressed with the quality. So this stuff is the real deal.

Hidden gem in a small shipping plaza! I was recommended to this place by many Armenian friends. Easy, convenient and good prices. A place where you place an order and and have then cook it for you. Service from the younger middle eastern girl wasn’t the most pleasant, as she questioned whether we had already paid for our order. She yelled across the store asking the woman who we had paid with if out order was paid. People were looking and it was embarrassing. My sister and I would not grab the order of food that was brought to us by the original cashier and try to walk out. Before you make the customer feel like they are stealing, make sure you communicate with your staff and ask if they paid first BEFORE yelling across and giving your customers and uncomfortable feel. Other than that, don’t worry about the service here… the food makes up for it. ;)

I suggest ordering 30 min ahead. Small store with a native vibe. So, don’t expect to linger and get a lot of hand holding. I like to pick up their cooked: Lamb Bone In Mix. 2 lbs. Pork loin back ribs with bone. 1 lb. Sometimes this is dry. One large Ikira(eggplant). Cucumber yogurt.

There are pros and cons to this market, at which I’ve shopped on and off since 2004. Pros: the prices are great. You can’t beat their cheese prices, meat sales, canned goods, and produce. Also, their no-nonsense attitude is refreshing — they’re not exactly rude, simply a bit brusque and matter of fact. You need to understand that this is a cultural thing, and what may seem rude to the casual American is commonplace in Middle Eastern culture. This market offers cooked meats made fresh to order, delicious pastries, all sorts of breads, and has a unique selection at the butcher counter(marinated game hens and quail included). Cons: their food can be hit and miss. I’ve bought lula kabob that was out of this world, but their marinated chicken thighs tasted nasty and had to be tossed. Their authentic hummus canned from Beirut is overly lemony to my taste. Sometimes their berries and cheese has some mold on it. The parking can be tight. It is a fun experience to walk in and impulse shop here if you need dinner on the run. It’s a nice change of pace from the everyday world of Ralphs and Trader Joe’s!

This is the best spot if you like to eat Armenian kabob. The food is always delicious. I usually order from then when I have guests and pick up the food 30 minutes before. I’ve never had a bad experience with them. The food always tastes amazing and the people working there are really nice. Vazgen is the guy’s name that I always deal with and he’s the nicest guy. I’ve recommend all my friends to then and so far everyone loves the food.

I ordered cooked food to go. The beef shish kabob was very hard and tough to chew. The boneless pork kabob had fat on it. The chicken breast kabob was good. The overall quality of the meat was not great. However, the prices are reasonable.

There are only two things you really need to know: 1. The meat is ONPOINT. Quality meat and best seasoning. 2. These people know what they are doing. When I need kebab this is the only place I go to. They have a bakery too but I go for the meat meat meat! Not more more is needed to say, it’s THAT good.

Love, love, love! Try their chicken kebabs with grilled veggies! Their bakery(it’s connected) is also stellar. I always get the different sorts of cheeses, deli, and fruits/veggies from here … and they also have a great selection of nuts and dried fruits.

I have been taking food from here for over 3 years now. My wife and I really love this place. This is a Grocery store, along with a cold storage, a Bakery and a Grill for Kabob’s. We always get the Kabob plates to-go. Really love their Chicken/Lamb/Beef lule Kabobs. I have read a few reviews on Unilocal regarding this place… really don’t understand what they are talking about. Some have said their food is bad or smelly. or not tasty… Really??? If they really dont understand or like the taste of Kabobs… they should never attempt to write a review. The Kabobs here are awesome… really awesome.

the kabob was actually very good. but I bought a fruit pastry also and when I got home to dig in… I noticed that the fruit was dry and had actually start to mold! Yuck! I might go back but only for the kabobs. It was 3 more pastries left someone will get sick !

Pretty decent. I drive by it constantly. And being that I’m sick of cash only Thai places I decided to give it a go. It’s in a strip mall. Has really sketchy parking, narrow and somewhat difficult to navigate if you plan on exiting on Woodman. It’s NOT a restaurant. It’s a grocery store. BUT it has a grill that they will fire up your meat for you. This is similar to Hardy’s in Studio City. At the time of this writing, most of the«common» meats are $ 4.99 for meat only. Which I decided to play it safe and go for the chicken breast. Well, I had it in mind that they were pre-made, but nope. Had to wait 15 minutes. So I decided to browse the shop. I ended up buying a bunch of spinach and a liter of pomegranate juice. I was taking stock of their items, for which to report back to you fine readers. Their grapeseed oil was really cheap, for you health conscience folks. And they have very interesting produce. A lot of pickled things. Lemons are cheap. As was their variety of juices(I went by the pictures since the writing was Cyrillic). It’s really Jon’s prices. Which is interesting, as Jon’s is also predominantly Armenian. I give it three stars, but it’s closer to 3 ½. The chicken was really good. It was cooked the way I like it… through. It wasn’t much… even for the price. I was expecting, maybe an entire skewer. But it was flavorful. And when I ate it with some brown rice I had at home. Which topped with the onions & cilantro they give you, was a perfect meal. The lack of four stars, is because parking is rough, and as many also mentioned, it is crammed in the store itself. Overall, I would like to stop by again for their other kabobs.

Never Order food from this horrible place!!! I was very disappointed of service and food which i ordered. First when i called to the store i asked if somebody speak Russian and man who took order said yes, he speaks Russian’s in real world he understood only couple words!!! so, he put in my order what he likes. I asked for no onion he put onion, i asked to put meet on lavash, he put on pita, and when i asked to put specific vegetables on grill they add another what i didn’t asked. when i came home i check my order and i was very upset, because they messed up my order. I called the store and spoke to the manager and start explain him my situation and he starts arguing with me and said he didn’t took correctly my order because he didn’t speak Russian.
