Great little find hidden in downtown Valpo. You literally have to walk down the alley next to Bdub’s to find this place, head up the ramp and you’ll see the entrance. Spacious, clean and beautiful café/bakery. They even had gluten free options, I had the red velvet cupcake which was fabulous, great flavor and very moist. So many options to chose from for my non gluten free friends, everything looked delicious!

I happened to pick up a business card for this place somewhere in Valpo. It didn’t exactly say what it was but it looked intriguing. I decided to find it one and and I’m so glad I did. Awesome bakery with a variety of sweet treats. Can’t wait to go back!

Such good desserts, love them all. The cheesecake is my favorite ever. Plan your cravings accordingly though, the shop is closed from Saturday afternoon to Monday.

An absolutely delicious bakery, but they are never open! Posted hours don’t matter, when you walk up, you can almost always count on the«store closed» sign to be up which is VERY frustrating. AMAZING sweets and treats, but unreliable to be open when you stop by. I would not count on them for a special occasion unless you call ahead or have a back-up plan. My girlfriends and I have tried to get together three times there, during hours they are supposed to be open, but they are closed. On the positive side– the décor is very cute and cozy and the sweets are affordable. The cheesecake is TODIEFOR! Everything is very fresh and delicious.

Amazing cake. I don’t eat sweets and I couldn’t stop myself. Not like any other I’ve had from a bakery… buttery and dense like pound cake, but not too sweet. Very affordable as well. I found my new bakery in Valpo.

I requested a special«gluten free» cake be made for my hubby and Abby went out of her way to accommodate us and make a special cake for us… she also let me pick it up on her day off. She has excellent finger sized yummies as well as amazing bread pudding, cup cakes(OMG!!) and excellent coffee… you are also greeted by her warm smile and excellent customer service. I am huge fan, and this is officially our family bakery!!! GOTOTHISNOWPEOPLE!!!

My wife and I dropped in today to see what it was like. We were secretly kind of giddy for three reasons. First, the smell of a bakery is just heaven. We tried the peach/plum cobbler and it was outstanding. Second, they bake cinnamon rolls on Saturday morning. The key is not to put a sweet sugary icing on it but use cream cheese frosting. They said that’s what they do most of the time. Then third, they serve pour overs using Metropolis coffee. I can’t tell you how much fun it is to have a place in town that does pour overs. Excellent coffee! I just wish they were open earlier in the day so I could pick up a cup on the way to work!

Brand new bakery in Valpo and already the best place downtown for something sweet. Wildflour is cute and quaint, tucked behind the busy Main Street. The décor is sweet and simple and you can see right into the kitchen. Everything is bright and clean without being cluttered. There is plenty of room to sit and enjoy your treats without feeling cramped. The best part is obviously the food. I sampled the Chocolate Stout cupcake, chocolate chip pecan cookie and bread pudding. I also had a bite of the cheesecake. It was all perfect. Nothing was too sweet and tasted fresh. The cupcake was moist and wasn’t weighed down by too much frosting. The cookie was exactly what you want a chocolate chip cookie to taste like. The cheesecake had a sour cream topping which balanced the sweetness. But my favorite by far was the bread pudding. There aren’t words. Wildflour also has gluten free options which I thought was incredible. I’ve heard their cinnamon rolls are delightful and cannot wait to try them. The prices are more than fair and far better than some other downtown bakeries. The portions are appropriate as well. And the service is lovely. Support a truly wonderful local business and check them out.
