I have been going to MBY salon for the past 3 years and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Marcia and her team. Marcia is a very professional, competent, hard working stylist who knows hair. She uses great products and is concerned about the health of your hair and not just a hair style. But don’t get me wrong, she knows how to make you look like a million dollars with modern and cutting edge hair styles if that is what you want. I can definitely see a difference in the health of my hair since going to MBY.
I am also impressed with her ability to stay up to date and educated in her field. She now offers hair restoration services for women who have experienced hair damage from a variety of reasons (weaves, chemicals etc). I have used some of these products and have experienced a significant amount of hair growth. I couldn’t be happier with this service and MBY.

Came to NYC for a wedding. Contacted Marcia thru Unilocal for a wedding pony tail style n she responded in 24 hrs with an appt the day I flew in. Style was on point n stylish. Lots of compliments on style @ wedding n in airport going home. Thanks Marcia for your great customer service n hair styling talent.

5 yrs ago I was in search for a professional and drama free hair salon where someone will be less focused in my personal life and more focused in properly caring for my hair. My close friend suggested MBY, so I hesitantly went and was suprisingly happy with their service. MBY is professional, skilled in hair care and repair in a stress free environment!

I had my very first appointment with Marcia tonight and have to say it’s by far one of the best salon experiences I’ve had in years. I cut my hair short a few years ago, and have yet to find a stylist who knows how to get it right… until now! Marcia curled my hair so fast I was done in less than 20 minutes. It’s soft and healthy looking, and I’ve already received several compliments within a matter of an hour or so. Plus, you can’t beat the price. Loved the whole experience, I will definitely become a regular!!!

I have been going to Marcia for almost 2 years. I found her online and saw the great reviews, so I decided to try her out. I was looking for a good Black stylist at a salon where I didn’t have to spend the entire day. I have long, thick, natural hair. I needed someone willing to put up with the hassle of my hair. Marcia has done all of this. I text her to make an appointment and I’m seen at the time of my appointment and I’m there the amount of time that expect to spend. Also, her prices are reasonable. When I first went to Marcia, my hair was half relaxed and half natural. She got my hair through the transition. At this time, I am fully natural and my hair has grown so long and is so healthy. My hair loves Marcia’s hands. I never have to tell her what to do. I sit in the chair and she works her magic and does what she does best. I drive all the way from Brooklyn to Valley Stream because she is that good. I highly recommend Marcia!

The first time I went to this place, I had an appointment, was on time and the owner greeted me… by name. I was impressed. There was no wait time, she began doing my hair right away. She started dreds for me which came out beautifully. As I sat in her chair, the owner, Marcia gave me great advice about how to maintain my hair and my children who also have dreds. Marcia goes above and beyond and it seems that she is a high quality professional and runs her business that way. As I sat in the saloon I noticed that everyone who had their hair done, from weaves, relaxers, short natural haircuts and more, all looked fabulous.
