Went here to play my lotto about 2 weeks ago because i was washing my clothing at the other end of court it was early i see brownies i buy two for my DAUGHTER, WHEN i arrived home i tasted one and my daughter tasted hers and it was delicious. They were moving around fast in their. I will buy a sandwich their for my daughter next time i go i live 6 blocks away. i dont eat meat maybe yhey have a fish or veggies sand on menu. polite staff.

This place should not be open. The staff seemed pissed that we came. Got orders wrong, took an absurd amount of time, and the sandwiches were terrible. Maybe this is a drug front and we weren’t supposed to actually order food? If so, sorry. If not, not sure what is going on here. Terrible.

Waited three hours for two sandwiches and two empanadas and they called one hour later to inform us that there were no empanadas and replaced them with fries. We called again after one hour and the lady said the food was on its way, then one and a half hours later there was still no food here.
Iced tea= gross
Lemonade= disgusting
French fries= abysmal
Side of ranch= non existent
Hot sandwiches= cold and salty
$ 30 for garbage.

Ordered from there again. Bad experience again.
Ordered breakfast sandwiches. All stale. Why not have fresh bread for a Saturday morning.
One slice of bacon in the sandwich. Very bad.
Home fries were not home fries. Just potatoes. Not any peppers or onions in it. Nothing. Fries all soggy.
Very unsatisfied.

I just ordered from this place, fcking absurd. $ 18 minimum $ 2 fcking delivery charge 2 hour motherfcking wait for not one but 2 uncut cold sandwiches and the wrong empanadas. Bread is hard and no garlic on my damm roll. They must not know what crispy bacon means because it was rubber bacon. The grease came with some chicken. At least they gave me napkins. Let me not start with the delivery guy neither not even a fcking sorry nor thank you. Didn’t even get a damn dessert out of this deal
I will never ever in 1 million years order from your deli. Would never recommend this place everrrrrrrrr again. So if you plan to order from Maria’s deli please order two hours in advance and be prepared for the worst and pray for the best.

Terrible!!! Ordered chicken parm and got some raw grilled chicken that tasted raw that I saw him take out the microwave. I figured all along Long Island deli’s took pride in their work. Boy was I sadly mistaken. Never again waited over an hour for food that I tossed in the trash.

This is the second year we order from this Deli, we love their fresh homemade food; especially the pancakes. Today though we hit a snag…
We ordered from Grub Hub as we have from the past, everything with the ordering process was smooth. Unfortunately it took a long time for delivery, we ordered at 10:30 and received our food much later than we anticipated. We were disappointed and decided to cancel our order. Moments later the delivery came, and were given an apology AND our food for free! A very classy and business conscientious move.
We really love this place and will order in the future! I only gave four stars because were let down a little bit.

You order and wait a very long time. Work about 2 blocks away and waited 1 ½ hours for 4 breakfast sandwiches. Ordered soup and sandwiches for lunch — 3 of each, waited over an hour and soup looked like it was combined with another soup to make it the full cup. None of us was happy. Owner not willing to help either

I LOVE Maria’s I go there and order from them as often as I can. They are the sweetest people and so friendly and kind hearted. The food is AMAZING and I honestly don’t know what else to say other than Maria’s you guys are amazing and I definitely love you and you will definitely continue to have my service.

I can not believe that this place even has 4 stars. I actually decided to order from here because of the rating but that was a huge mistake. I put in an order at 8;58am and the food cam at 11;42. A TOTAL JOKE. I called 5 times and after the 3rd time someone told me they would give me a free dessert. THAT is the only reason why I gave them 1 star.
Not only was the service horrible but the food was as well. They ran out of beef empanadas so they replaced it with a cheese and when I got it, it was rock hard and cold. It was just regular american cheese too, nothing special. The spicy chicken sandwich (lunch) was horrible. I don’t even know why it was recommended.
I will say that the House made red velvet cookie was sub par.
Totally not worth the money and time for this place.

I guess a couple other people had one bad experience but that definitely doesn’t mean that this isn’t a great place.
the sandwiches are pretty inventive and I’ve been there 20+ times and never been disappointed. breads great, foods great, and people are super nice.
bodega like atmosphere, if you can say anything bad it’s that they have oranges which seem more like a misguided business move.
overall my go to sandwich place. and they have sick cookies stuff.

I recently went to Marias sandwiches and sweets using a groupon certificate. I ordered three sandwiches to take out a philly cheesesteak a reuben and a chicken sandwich. All the sandwiches were very good especially the Philly cheesesteak which was huge. Service was very friendly and responsive even to the point to allow me to swap out a sandwich that may have spoiled on the long trip home. The price to value ratio here is above average for this type of sub shop. All in all this was a excellent experience and I look forward to returning to this family owned sub shop in the near future.

I have to agree with Larry below. This place opened up not too long ago (anything that occupies that lot shuts down relatively soon), and I decided to try it based off the reviews here.
I went one morning around 10 am and the place was relatively dead. I had asked what soups they had and the lady told me soup wasn’t ready yet it was still frozen. Ok, so I order a roast beef sandwich. I head home and open up the sandwich to eat.
I asked for it on a roll, and the roll was rock hard. I took a bite, and the roast beef tasted gross, the tomatoes were old, etc.
I will not be returning.

did i go to the wrong place? are these reviewers raving about this joint friends of the owners? whatever it is, i did not find the place people on here were talking about — what i discovered instead was a somewhat barren little bodega with what seemed like some great offerings (from reading the sandwich board anyway), but delivered disgusting garbage in the end… BLT consisted of rubbery microwaved bacon, potato salad was rancid to the point that the one bite that hit my tongue had to be spit out instantly, and rice «pudding» that was basically underdone white rice swimming in milk… failure from start to finish, will not be returning
