The food is always great. The people are always nice. I love having this café in our community. Simple. Delicious. Well done.

Stopped off for some beef empanadas after dropping my wife off at work. The meat had a nice flavor to it though the roll part was a bit too doughy. Still all in all a nice clean place with a basic menu I will try it again and one of the other dishes.

I love this place and try and go every time I’m in Valley Steam. I’ve tried almost every sandwich and a few of the desserts and have never been disappointed. Reasonably priced too! Just don’t forget to bring cash, as they don’t take cards. Highly recommended!

I’m not from Chile and I’m not well versed in the art of the churrasco. But this sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The meat is well seasoned and the creaminess of the avocado complements everything so well. The star of this dish though, is the«hot sauce» that comes with it. It’s not very spicy at all, but that’s a good thing. I just love the vinegariness(yup, that’s a word) of it. I’ve tried the beef empanada as well, but I wasn’t a fan. But even that wouldn’t stop me from giving this place 5 stars. The service is also a plus. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful and answered all my questions courteously. I’ll definitely be back(I’ve already eaten here twice in just as many days)!

My family is from Chile. In fact, my grandfather knew Juanito’s father back in San Antonio. Juanito is a great cook. He used to be the cook at a nearby Chilean restaurant down the street, and when he opened his own bakery, we followed. The empanadas are as good as the ones my grandmother made. I rarely eat beef, but I never turn down an empanada or churrasco. Also love the fried cheese empanadas and the pastry, alfajor. And I can’t get enough of the pebre(salsa). Wish they accepted credit cards though!

I’ve been a resident of Valley Stream my entire life. I’ve probably eaten at every deli and café in town and countless ones from the surrounding area. Usually I get an egg sandwich that is overdone on day old bread. This has been an answer to a problem for me. I know it’s a bakery and a great place for sandwiches but honestly, no one makes a better egg sandwich than this guy. Their bread is made fresh everyday and is some hybrid of a roll and a biscuit. It is my favorite bread. Their lunch specials and sandwiches in my opinion are also stand alone as my favorite in town. The place is SUPER clean and you can watch the chef work his magic in the kitchen from the counter. He has an extreme amount of focus and precision. This place is my new favorite. Try anything with confidence.

Great sandwiches, great empanadas, and great hot dogs! The churrasco sandwich is soo delicious! It is soo great that this place is a few blocks from my house. I love the salsa that comes with the food, it’s delicious. They also make one of the best tres leches cakes that I have ever had. Go get some!

A great little bakery and café! So far have tried the Italiano hotdog, the steak and avocado sandwich, and the beef empanadas. The pastries are great too, especially the fruit tart!
