Great place. Found it by accident but will definitely be going back when I’m in the area. Had the empanada carne which was great. Baked instead of fried. And then had the chicken salad stuffed avocado. Everything was delicious! Friendly staff as well.

So my Chilean best friend took me out for lunch and he’s been telling me about this«authentic» chilean restaurant out in long island. He took the liberty of ordering a bunch of stuff from the menu and we were barely able to finish half of the food. +Their Pisco Sour is amazing. They served it in flute glasses and added a sugar rim to the flutes and it has a very lemony taste to it. Quite refreshing for the summertime. +Their beef empanadas are baked and not fried at all, which I love. These are the same kinds his mom used to make for me every year. Also, they have cheese and shrimp empanadas that are fried and the crust was amazing. It has so much flavor compared to any ones I’ve tried. +The Chilean hot dog looks messy but it’s covered with deliciousness of guacamole and salsa. +Their abalones were amazing and fresh, but I’m not a fan of dipping it in mayo. +He also ordered this corn grits that had beef filings inside. It’s a little more watery compared to other Chilean restaurants he’s taken me to, but nonetheless really good. We used to go to this place in Woodhaven in Queens, but they have closed down. Now we know where to get our Chilean fix. =)

Love this place… food is fresh and delicious. The owners and staff are very courteous and helpful all the time. Love their spaghetti and beef — –the beef melts in your mouth; it’s so tender. Love buying bread(pan) before I leave — so tasty, and all their pastries are to die for… fresh and delicious. Stop in often to just pick up empanadas or the steak & avocado sandwich — so filling and delicious. I recommend San Antonio Bakery/Restaurant without hesitation. Believe me, you won’t be disappointed. There is something here for everyone!!! You don’t have to be Spanish to come here; English is spoken in addition to Spanish.

We mostly come for alfajores, they are very good, the rest is pretty average. The completos are good if you don’t feel like making them at home, but nothing you can’t do yourself. The mil hojas is good as well they don’t shy away from putting a lot of dulce de Leche.

We were probably the only people in this tiny place who weren’t speaking Spanish, and I love when that happens. I call this a «place», because it’s not really a restaurant, although the you could sit down and eat. It’s primarily a place to pick up sandwiches and cakes. However, my son and I certainly had a nice meal here. The empanadas had olives and eggs in them and were fantastic. I’ve never had empanadas like that before. I wasn’t crazy about the seafood soup but I don’t like seafood much in general. The Chilean shepherd’s pie was amazing. It was sweet, it had eggs, and is one of those flavors that I can’t really compare to anything. We also took home a caramel and pineapple cake which was really nice but too rich for me. This place closes really early for dinner, but if your not looking for a fancy place, can deal with a very limited menu, and can finish dinner by 7:30, this is a great place to go.

The Churrasco is soooo gooood. Especially with the hot sauce. But they need to package it better for take out. I was taking it out the bag and the sandwich just fell out of the wrapping and made a mess. Very annoying.

This is a restaurant as well as bakery. Amazing authentic Chilean food. The traditional chicken soup is amazing, fried cheese empanadas were very fresh and with pebre(traditional hot sauce) at the table. A unique experience for everyone since most people know nothing about Chilean cuisine.

I enjoyed my stay in this Chilean Resto despite the fact that the staff double glanced at us twice because we’re Asians! They thought we’re in the wrong restaurant. Ha! But that’s what I want, it means that this place is being patronize by it’s natives which means this is authentic or close to. Love what I ordered, ceviche and carne mechado con tallarines. It was so good. Since this is a bakery(panaderia) they have awesome empanadas and cakes(pastel)! Service was great and the place is clean and spacious. Staff were all courteous and friendly.

Chilean, not Spanish damn it! Please stop calling this a «Spanish» restaurant that serves«Spanish»(or Peruvian like some uneducated fool posted below) food. This is a «Chilean» bakery and restaurant, not from Spain or a region of Spain, but from Chile which is a country on the Southwestern tip of South America. Do you call McDonalds English food? I think not. Anyways, onto the food… My wife and I(I’m half-Chilean and lived in Chile for many years) made the trip out from Brooklyn for a late lunch and to buy some baked goods to take home. The service was good and slow like it’s supposed to be. Unlike most U.S. restaurants, when you go to a Chilean restaurant you go there to eat, talk and take your time. If you want a server, you call them over. They don’t come to check-in on you every 5 mins like they do here in the U.S. So sure, this may be a «culture shock» for some of you, but that’s how we Chileans do. Meals are a time for relaxing and for conversation, not«stuff your face, pay and leave». So quit your whining about the slow service you silly gringos! We had empanadas, humitas, and pastel de choclo, and they reminded me of home. Also the pan amasado and pebre were great.

I just returned from Santiago. I have dined at San Antonio on multiple occasions and their food is better than anything I had both in Santiago, or in the southern part of Chile. San Antonio is as authentic as it gets. And this is coming from a white guy with zero Chileno blood in his system.

Used to go to this spot when I had a friend who worked here. I had no idea it existed. Place doesn’t have a sign or anything. It’s authentic Chilean food. If you come you have to try the completo. I got the italiano which is a hot dog with avocado and salsa minus the sauerkraut. They’ve also customized meals for me like grilled chicken, eggs, and veggies. Food is good. Service is slow. I don’t go here anymore, but try it out if you want to.

The San Antonio Bakery makes a Peruvian hot dog that is fantastic. They are a Spanish bakery and restaurant. I’ve never tried their other dishes but I did try some of their pastries. They were ok. You got to get the hot dogs. They are delicious.

LOVELOVELOVE!!! They never disappoint me or my tummy — — Their tres leches is …sweet, delicious and extremely dense and moist, almost like a custard… always just right!!! I usually have to run out with only one slice before I am tempted to get another… Its a must if you are in the area!

Very disappointed. Came here for lunch and loved the steak sandwich!!! But we came here for dinner and was not happy service was slow, yet the waitress was actually working. The restaurant was not that busy to have to wait so long for water and burnt food. How can the«chef» be ok serving burnt salmon and burnt steak. Very sad that we can’t have a fun Chilean restaurant to go to… oh well. There’s always the Colombian place across the street!

Oh mannnnnnnnn!!! So, so good. The staff is friendly and welcoming. It was a bit busy when we got there and there was only 1 waiter but he was making an effort to make everyone happy. The beef empanadas were delicious, I had a salad. It was fresh, crispy and not just thrown together. We also had«el completo». It’s basically a hot dog with everything but the kitchen sink on it. The bread was freshly prepared on premises. Delicious!!! I didn’t have any desert, but I do say this, I WILLBEBACK :)
