Okay, if I could give this place zero stars, I would. We were here at 7p to have a bite to eat and drink for my girlfriends bday and I was extremely disappointed. The cooks weren’t in on time… Then when they arrived 1 ½ hours late, they had to go to the grocery store… Are you serious!?! We ordered a few drinks and ended up ordering Stephano’s. I will never do this again… It is not the same!

Called Coconut Grove because??? It’s all brick and kind of Gothic. Zero beach theme here. Was one of 3 people here between 630 and 9 on a Monday night.

** TO– GO review** Only came here because my friends rave about this place and their hot wings. Came by this area for a visit and decided to order wings and fries to go. Ordered 25 piece buffalo wings: Not the best wings i’ve ever had but actually pretty decent. Better than most wings places and good flavor, might even have to say better than BWW. It was plump and had extra sauce for some meat dipping action. I wouldn’t go one day, «O man I am craving some Coconut grove wings.» Extra crispy garlic fries: would’ve been amazing if it had actually been crispy. It was enjoyable though. perfect amount of garlic and a simple ketchup dipping sauce. Place could have thrown in a few more napkins and or some wet naps since we are eating some messy wings. Will eat here one day, this just wasn’t the sit down eating trip.

I waited literally over an hour for buffalo wings and fries. Not to mention their alcohol selection is beyond garbage. Never again. What a waste of time. I know they are not killing the chickens in the back. Beware if your actually hungry!!!

Bar is nice on the inside and big with a lot of pool tables but the people who patron this bar are a little too ghetto for me and I’m from Vallejo haha. If your down to hang with the homies all night and have the want to get into a fight this is the place for you!

Great food, stiff drinks and good company! They have the best chicken wings. All of their wings are good but lemon pepper is my fave! You’ll be licking all the seasoning off your fingers to make sure you aren’t wasting any of that tasty goodness.

A friend of mine lives within walking distance of The Cocunut Grove, so we decided to check it out on Friday. There was a $ 5 cover to get in, but it was worth it. There was a DJ who was spinning some Funk, old school R&B, 90’s Hip Hop, and some newer Hip Hop. He played a good set, and he took requests too! The drinks were cheap($ 4 Draft Beers) and they had about 15 different beers on tap. I can’t speak for the mixed drinks, but they were probably reasonably priced too. It was a diverse crowd, and everybody was friendly. They have a dance floor, but there were only a few ladies dancing, and as good as the DJ was, I’m surprised that the dance floor wasn’t packed. Overall, it’s a cool, laid-back spot and I would go back again some time.

I hate to give 2 stars to any business but, I’m not sure I’ve ever received worse service. I roll into this place at 11am on a Saturday. The ambiance is kinda cool, hole in the wall, but looks like it could be fun at night and if you could ever get some darn service, it might be a good place to watch a game because they have some nice TVs in there. I sit at the bar with the intent to order breakfast. There are a total of maybe 7 patrons in the entire place. It takes over 10 minutes to get a water and order and I didn’t get the omelet until 40 minutes later!!! The server was unfriendly and seemed to be annoyed that we were there. I could definitely tell a difference in how we were treated compared to «regulars». I’ll never return.

This place is trashy to say the least but the hot wings and lumpia are delicious!

This is one of my favorite spots in Vallejo. I’ve been coming ever since it was Billy Teeter’s place — it was even better then, 7 Stars back when it was predominantly a pool hall full of regulation tables. It was drinks, billiards, loud music, and sports on the big screens. I loved it for that. Now they must stick in a restaurant for some reason that saves them liquor taxes or something and call it a family restaurant. To do this, they got rid of several great pool tables and build this bulking square walled-in cubicle for dining tables that disrupts the flow of the once grand room. It looks like a walled-in Dennys. Not a lot of families eat here. It’s wasted space. If I was asked for a cover charge — I’d leave. I don’t need that level of party, just a fun spot to hang out. Still, I love the mix of people and the friendliness of everyone. This is special and wonderful and too damn rare to be fair. I also like the drinks, the fried foods, and the bathrooms are clean, I don’t care what other critics say. On a busy weekend its fun to order a pitcher, some spicy chicken wings, maybe run a rack or two, and watch people have fun. I traveled across America this summer, clubbing in Kansas City, and across the east coast. I did not see the diversity that exists at the Grove anywhere else. We have it going on in Vallejo.

Not the type of place I would normally go, but it was my cousins birthday and I actually had a good time. The place is a nice size and has like 4 or 5 flat screens, and 3 pool tables. So if you wanna listen to music, have a drink and chill this place would fit the bill. From what I understand they play all the games during the day. I did not try the food, but from what I heard its pretty good. I went on a Saturday night and they had a DJ that played some pretty good music. The dance floor is kinda small but if you wanna dance you can work with it. It seemed to me a lot of the young ladies in the CG were«working», and there were a few sketchy characters roaming around. The drinks were good, and relatively cheap. I would probably go again if my friends really wanted to go, but it is not on my list of places I want to spend a Saturday night.

Overall, the place is fine. Especially when they got a DJ. Once the drinks kick in, everyone dances. I also go there to watch others act a fool. Them wings are off the hook! Da young bar tender, Oooooh, fine. They should create a 2nd floor and put them pool tables upstairs for more dancing space on first level. But c’mon, cover charge? No way! They should get rid of that ’cause bouncer pockets that himself. Parking? If you get there early or else you’ll be getting your car towed if you don’t watch that sign on the street«NOPARKINGANYTIME» on side of fwy. So park across da street. Watch-out for checkpoints on Georgia St.

I can’t stand this place. I have nothing nice to say other than the strong drinks were awesome! This place has potential but the inside needs work, the bathrooms are horriffic. Cover charges for a «live» dj, are you kidding me?! The bouncer/door guy was a prick.

If just remembering my experiences here put a smile on my face, they must be doing something right, right? It is billed as a ‘family restaurant’ but i would never, ever, ever bring small children here. It faintly smelled of smoke but all bars do, to some extent. I’ve been here maybe four times, each time drank THE strongest rum & coke of my life and had to stop at two. I came with two of my best girl friends on separate occasions when we needed to get away from the black hole which is Benicia’s First street. There is definitely a huge amount of bling goin’ on in this place, which was both amusing and off-putting — i actually felt underdressed! I’ve never tried the food and i don’t plan on it, but next time i’m back home visiting the fam i’ll be sure to drag my finally — of –age brother here for some supreme people watching.

Two of these things were not like the others… two of these things just didn’t belong… Seriously. I forgot my Sean Jean jacket, my Baby-Phat hoop earrings, and my ‘street cred’. Word. And I don’t even like E-40… shhh… I’m lucky I didn’t get capped for that one… PS– wtf is this Hyphie bidness anyway? Two stars for the ridiculous Gin and Tonic that was so strong it burnt my nose hairs and I couldn’t drink it. And for the bouncer who asked us if we were lawyers(we were business casual from a previous engagement.). And a star for giving me a glimpse of the Vallejo I’m missing out on, being what, whi… er, midwest and all…
