El Dos De Oro Produce Market

They have a really great selection. Their ceviche and fresh chips are my favorite! I usually come here when I’m craving and don’t want to make a batch. They also have sliced fresh fruit. Employees have always been very nice so I’ve been coming here for years.
Great selection of drinks, produce, snacks and meat! We also get the marinated chicken to bbq. Nice little one stop shop. My go to when in the area. They also offer services in the back area for money orders, taxes, etc.

Went there early this morning for Menudo. I’m new to the area and have been on the hunt for my go-​to sunday menudo spot. I’ve tried a few already without any wish to try them again. Let me start with the positive. The store is super clean, the butcher behind the counter was hustling cleaning and setting up the meat counter for the day. The ladies out front were meticulously going through the produce and picking out anything that didn’t look good enough to sell. The menudo itself was 5 stars quality. I grew up eating menudo on the weekends and know from whence I speak. This menudo was as good as it gets. The meat had that clean delicious menudo flavor, tender and soft. Not one piece was chewy. The seasoning of the broth itself was perfect and the fixings that came with my order exceeded my expectations. Dried toasted chiles, onion, cilantro, oregano, serrano, tortillas with just of touch of delicious frijolitos folded up inside! The reason I did not give ⁵⁄₅ stars was the wait. I was running errands early and showed up about 10 minutes after opening. They told me 20 minutes till the menudo would be ready. I came back half an hour later and still waited more than 20 minutes. There was a very nice gentleman in the back working on the menudo; I’m not sure he could have moved any slower. Next time I may call ahead of time and get my order started early. If I had to wait again to experience the menudo I had the pleasure of eating today, I would, but PLEASE, Dos de Oro, work on speeding up your service! I want to go back often and recommend you to others without reservation.

I love this market. They have the best avocados and Manila mangos. And delicious freshly squeezed juices, salsas and guacamole. They sell El Pinto chips which are the best. Everything I’ve had at the taqueria in the store is excellent and for a good price. This market is a gem.

Love coming here for my fresh chopped fruit and my favorite prickly pears. And of course their burritos and tacos.
