I went there a year ago to get a mani-​pedi. Excellent nail work… they try to talk you into other services while you’re there. Prices are very reasonable.
Don’t get eyelash extensions there though. You have to lean way back with your head hanging over the back of a salon chair (so uncomfortable) You’ll get glue in your eyes, and for $ 25, exactly what you pay for… Glued on false eyelashes, not extensions. They started to fall off in sections within an hour.

I went here today for the first time. The ladies are super nice and do a great work on your nails. Me and my friend walked in and we got excellent service. I will be defenitely going back!

I’m IMPRESSED! This place is great. Everyone was lovely and polite! It was my first time here and I was lucky enough to be seen as soon as possible because they usually go by appointments only. I loved this place because the ladies were very personable. This is the only place in vallejo where all the employees spoke in English. Not that I mind if the spoke in their language, but I always wonder what they were talking about my overgrown cuticles. Lol. They seem to know the regulars very well, made me feel comfortable and made small with me.
They have a large polish selection and matching colors for all there gel polish, which I really like because most places you have to search for the same color or a least try match as much as possible.
Their polish was organized and made choosing easy. They take there time and does not feel rushed.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience. I only gave them a four because I like it when they really go deep with removing cuticle. I can still see them.
Anyway I do plan on going back there again.

The ladies here are so nice & listen to what you want. They are attentive to their work & always do a wonderful job on my nails. I have been going to this nail salon for a year now, & have been consistently very satisfied with their service. Best nail salon in Vallejo by far, highly recommend!!!

I’m not sure if my nail technician was simply inexperienced with gel polish, but my manicure was definitely not up to par. My polish is completely uneven and there’s a lot of it left over on my cuticles. My regular salon used to take about 45 minutes for a manicure, which might be a little excessive, but my nails were always pristine. The technician here took about 20 — and I could definitely tell the difference. She was a very sweet lady though.

Great service ! Feels like home here, made me feel welcomed and comfortable … You can just tell by their clientele that are amazing. They make each clientele personal and that is key! Each nail tech knows every single person that walks in

I came here today to get a full set and my sister got gel and we loved it. The ladys that work there are very friendly and funny. Made us feel comfortable and our nails came out great! Dont look at the negative rates, go try it out. You might end up loving it like me.

Today was my first time being at this nail salon and I’m glad I say I won’t be going anywhere else. Everyone there was so nice, they had a nice couch for my son (7 years old) to wait on while I got my manicure, and I was seen right on time.
I just went in for a gel manicure and it was with jade, I love it! She was very sweet and actually kept a conversation with me the whole time I was there. Everywhere else I’ve been we sit in silence until it is time to pay. So this was very nice and welcoming! Not to mention the prices are VERY reasonable. For a gel manicure other places charge up to 15 $ MORE than they do at this nail salon and the quality is the same if not better.
I will be a regular now here which is great because I live right up the street. Also, you have to ring a door bell to get in which I very much appreciate and made me feel a lot safer since we all know Vallejo has some pretty crazy things going on sometimes.

They are the most amazing staff! Took my daughter there several times already and they make you feel at home., great customer service!

The only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars is because the ladies are so nice. Unlike other nail places I have been to they a actually communicate with their customers.
So I walk in thinking it was going to be a regular nail solan and surprisingly there were only 2 chairs and two ladies working. (Very friendly ladies) but I think this is mostly to be considered a hair solan, and I was looking for more of a nail shop. Got my pedi first and It almost took 25 minutes just to get the shellac off my toes. I asked if they had shellac to put back on my toes and she told me it was ten dollars more. I explained that that’s fine and she talked me out of getting them. Which was weird but I was over it, so I agreed to just not getting it done. They had no options of pedicure I guess it’s just get what you get style. Unfortunately for me I didn’t get much. No hot stones, no wax bag, no sea scrub! The only thing i enjoyed was the lotion rub. She actually did one of the best jobs ever and probably because she was such a nice lady talking to me while she rubbed my feet. The pedi in itself was at most average.
Then another lady did my nails she was quiet at first but warmed up to me towards the end. Nail shape wasn’t too good and the polish was terrible but I’m going to live with it for the next two weeks. I guess u can’t really tell from a distance, so that’s good.
Paid 54 $ for a French tip fill and pedi so not too bad of a price then what I’m used to but I would rather pay more and get a better job done.
Won’t be returning.

I’ve been coming to Tina & Booma to get my nails done with my mom since I was in elementary school! They always make time for me even when I don’t have an appt. I stopped going for awhile because I went to school and lived in Berkeley, but I try to stop by Tina’s when I’m home for the weekend. She knows my entire family as well as she knows any other of her clients. Tina remembers everyone by name and treats everyone like a regular!
Just a heads up: it’s on a main street and it’s not the best neighborhood, but I’ve never felt unsafe here. People on Unilocal say her gated door that you have to ring the doorbell to get in is ghetto, but honestly safety comes first and her loyal customers don’t mind it at all! I stopped by today at got a gel mani and regular pedi for $ 40, on the cheaper side and good quality work compared to the nearly $ 50 I pay in Berkeley. Tell her Joelle sent ya!

For the price you can not go wrong! My pedicure is still amazingly in great shape! My manicure last a lot longer than usual and the massage I got was awesome! They are very very nice and attentive! I did not get gel polish but plan to when I go back — they have ALOT to choose from! Other girls who had appointments at the same time got serious designs and art done and it all came out beautiful! Don’t let the «neighborhood» put you off … These ladies are amazingly talented and for the price you CAN NOT get a better job done in the area!

They did a great job on my nails. It’s a bit pricy but the overall experience was awesome. They were very welcoming.

I’ve come here twice to get my nails done. I rarely get a manicure unless I have something special coming up or if I can get a good deal on Groupon or Living Social.
The last time I was here was 2012 for my undergraduate graduation. I got french tips and they did an amazing job. I had an appointment, but they were busy and took me in 30 minutes later. Regardless of the wait time, the work they did for my nails made up for it.
The second time is today. I decided to treat myself and get a manicure. After searching endlessly for a cheap shellac manicure that is good, I decided I’d come here once again. It’s only $ 20!!! All the other places were charging me much more when I was doing my search.
I called and made an appointment. I knew that even though I did, they would not see me right away because they are always busy. After 20 minutes, they took me in. I chose my color and the lady (I forgot her name) said that that color chips a lot and will find a color close to it that is better quality.
She found one and showed me the color on her nails. I agreed and thanked her for informing me of the nail polish to make sure I had the best experience.
Overall, this nail salon is great. They talk to you and engage and make the experience great. I would definitely recommend them to friends. Just know, make an appointment and add 30 minutes to that until they can see you. Show up on time though, otherwise you’ll end up waiting again.

Super bummed. I read a lot of great reviews for this place so I was pretty excited that I could get my nails done in my hometown. And now I’m just real dissatisfied. So bummed, a real waste of money. I like my nails simple and clean, short, square with curved edges (so they’re not sharp!) and nicely polished. I don’t do the works with artificial or gels or designs even. Pretty simple and easy one would think. Well my nails look like a hot mess :(there is not one part of me that wants to try just one more time either. I will continue on my hunt for a great nail technician!

I’ve had my nails done all over NorCal but this is my favorite place to get them done! Tucked in a run-​down strip of stores in East Vallejo is this diamond in the rough. Tina, the owner is the sweetest lady! She’s often booked up on the weekends (only time I can wander back to my hometown) so make your appointment early!
I took my mom here for a birthday pedicure. Booma (spelling?) really took care of my mom, really massaging her poor old legs and cleaning up her calloused feet. Tina did my pedicure at the same time. They both were very friendly and easy to converse with. Even though people kept trying to walk in to make an appointment, they didn’t rush through the pedicure.
Did I mention they’re very affordable? Cash only though. I wish I could get up to Vallejo more often to get my nails done.
