Well we were excited to try this place… but does not look like we will return Came by one afternoon to an empty restaurant, and few employees just hanging out The menu does look interesting and the shawarma style meats make it look good The cashier attending to us was super sweet and pretty darn cute I might add, and she did a great job explaining things to us We ordered two sandwiches, one beef one pork Both had the same bread and veggies, the pork was said to be spicy but no spice at all The beef was bbq and was pretty good and tender But nothing was astounding or delicious, it was just meh and not worth a trip back

Great food and very friendly. We walked in not knowing what to expect and the girl walked us through all their types of meats and offered samples. We ordered the Citrus Chicken Wrap and Ultimate wrap and really enjoyed them both. Definitely suggest asking for extra garlic aioli on the ultimate wrap and the citrus chicken was really good with their cilantro avocado cream dressing. We will be back!

Finally got a chance to try this place out. Not bad at all as far as the food but so far the rice plates were the only we’ve tried. Would like to try the sandwiches and wraps next. Only reason I took off 1 star was because of the to go containers, cheaply made(I think they were recycled containers). My wife took her order to work and when she was ready to eat it, the container was ready to fall apart. Seems like it was made out of recycled paper and not sturdy enough for any condensation. Other than that, service was quick, easy and very friendly courteous staff. Would go back to try again but not for the rice box/plates.

Really good. I got the citrus chicken wrap, and if you skip on the fries, it’s a pretty healthy grab and go lunch. Going to try the box next time, looks great.

Great to have another fairly healthy option for lunch in the area. Some of their menu items, especially the fries, can be very strongly flavored. But let me get this out there: their fries are the best I’ve had in Santa Clarita by a large margin. They just need to make sure they get that seasoning right every time, because my first time ordering they were so string with vinegar/citrus/whatever that my face was involuntarily contorting. That’s not to say I didn’t freaking love them, but most people probably aren’t up for that effect. I’ve ordered them twice since then though, and so far the flavor has been more balanced, so maybe they got it figured out. I’ve tried all the meats at this point, and they were all pretty good. Chicken isn’t dry and the pork and beef are both tender. Their menu is kind of quirky in that you can switch out the meats on any of the menu items, so if you don’t want a lot of starch or whatever, you can pick any wrap that has the toppings you want and just ask for a certain meat with it. I’m not sure, but I imagine you could just change the toppings too as long as they’re not premium priced. My choice item right now is the Junior Rice Box, which is a small but filling lunch for a little over $ 5. You pick all the meat and toppings yourself by default on the Junior items, so it’s great for trying to manage your diet. As far as I know, it’s the cheapest rice-based lunch in the area, just beating Panda Express’s bowl prices(size of the meal is probably comparable). They also have Junior Wraps that work the same way, if you’re watching carbs. Definitely keep the Junior items on the menu! Even if you wanna splurge on fries and a drink, it’s still under $ 10. Suggestion to the owner: Get some point cards! I’ll be going a lot so it’d be cool to get free fries or drink or something every ~10 visits. I feel like the sauces could use a bigger spectrum, lots of creamy options as is. Maybe a ginger sauce or teriyaki/sweet soy? Love the whipped feta!

I’ve been here twice so far and it was delicious both times. The bahn mi wrap was amazing. Be patient with the staff there since it’s obvious that they’re struggling a bit to get things running smoothly. I’m sure they’ll figure it out once they start to get in the swing of things.

Stopped in for lunch — outstanding wraps — I had the citrus chicken — tasty fresh ingredients wrapped in a delicious warm pita. Great addition to food options in Santa Clarita. Friendly service.

I was a little skeptical coming into this place as there weren’t any customers eating when I came in, yet my hunger and lack of patience for chiptole won we over. King Kogy’s menu is pretty big, ranging from wraps-sandwiches-rice bowls. I ordered the BB-Box with spicy pork. BB is basically a play on the Korean bi-bim-bap, which is rice mixed with veggies and a egg. The pork was extremely flavorful and the portion size was on the money for the price. Advice to people going there for the first time, ask questions! Don’t be afraid of the lengthily menu, the staff is pretty chill at explaining the different items and the popularity of the dishes. Definitely coming back to try out some of the other menu items!

I would like to welcome King Kogy to Valencia! I live about 5 minutes away from King Kogy and have already turned a few neighbors onto this place since first trying it. Personally love the BB Box. Meat is savory and seasoned well, rice portion maybe a tad much however love the generous portion of veggies. Staff is very friendly and have smiles on every time I walk in. Price is very reasonable for quality and portion of food. Great spot for folks on lunch coming from the industrial center!

Spicy pork, the beef, and the j-jerk chicken are really flavorful and delicious. Got the spicy pork on the Banh mi sandwich. Beef in the BB-Box. J-Jerk box. All super tasty and with generous portions. Looking forward to coming back. Also! The sodas are awesome! Mix the vanilla with the root beer to get a root beer float flavor

Took my son there today for lunch. Young lady that took our order was very sweet & attentive. Offered us a sample of their broiled meats before ordering. We each ordered the Ban Mi wrap. Mine with spicy pork & my sons with J-Jerk chicken. We can handle spice & I wouldn’t say either were that spicy. Flavors were good. The pickled cabbage was delicious. Needed more kick. For us. Maybe a kicked up pickled jalapeño for those that want more heat. The restaurant was very clean & staff was on it. Will be back to try one of their rice boxes.

I haven’t actually eaten their food yet, but I have been there twice and both times I have left without eating. The first time was about a week ago and they were completely out of all meat. Ok, they were still pretty new and maybe they didn’t know how much meat they’d be going through so i don’t fault them on that one. I tried going there again tonight around 6pm, which is a fairly normal time to go for dinner. They had all the different meats available. So far, so good. After deciding what to order, I come to find out they were out of rice. Once would think that if they were running low, they could cook another batch of rice in another rice cooker. Well, I thought wrong and they were out and weren’t making any more. I left and now i’m not sure I would even return.

I like the selection for seasoned meats and your options for preparing it(wrap or rice plate). The fancy soda machine seemed to have an interesting selection of drinks too. The server was friendly and helpful in telling about me about the different items. Overall the food was good and well prepared, I’d come back to try the other items. Other stuff: They may have forgotten the sauce for my rice plate, but I didn’t check if there was a self-serve station as I got my order to go and was in a hurry. I consider it a plus that they’re using paper-based boxes instead of foam, but my box was upside down. Normally this wouldn’t matter, but the lid is thinner and really softened up by the time I noticed. I’m glad I wasn’t holding the box while eating out of it.

Very tasty and on the healthier side, which is awesome. I rarely cook, but try to feed my family healthier take out fare or quick meals, so I’ll definitely be picking up food here at least once a week after work. The SCV needs more mom and pop foodie places like this, so I’m more than happy to support them!

Went back again today and tried the Spicy Pork sandwich. It was very flavorful and I enjoyed it. They are still experiencing delays in getting food out. This time it was around 15 minutes and they weren’t busy. The issue seems to be with the meat. It’s not ready by the time they open, so they must cut it off the vertical cookers and finish cooking it for early orders. Maybe they need to get it started earlier in the morning so it’s fully ready when they open. I’m sure they get better with experience. The food is good. I’ve been awaiting their opening for a few months. Tried it today. The owner and staff are super friendly and trying really hard to make your experience great. I ordered the BB Box. The food was very fresh. I was a little surprised that the sautéed veggies were cool, but I’m not sure if that’s how that are supposed to be or of that’s just because they are working out the kinks. It could have also used more sauce, as it was a little dry overall… next time I’ll ask for more sauce. I’ll be back for sure in a little to see if they’ve worked out the kinks(which I’m positive they will have as they obviously care a lot). If they do, I’ll be bumping it up to 5 stars! Goodluck!

I was excited that something different was opening up. Some coworkers go there food Friday and it looked good and they all liked it so I tried it on Saturday. This review is more like its OK, not necessarily AOK, but didn’t want to give just 2 stars. The people working were friendly and greeted us as soon as we came in and said we could try the meats if we wanted, which was very nice. You basically choose a type of meat that’s been marinated and roasting on a vertical spit schwarma style. There are different preparations ranging from bahn mi, rice plates and wraps. Today we got the JJerk Box. I got citrus marinated chicken and my dining partner got the jerk chicken. Both of the chicken preparations were well seasoned. The jerk wasn’t very spicy but it had the other flavors typical of jerk seasoning. The citrus marinated chicken was very flavorful. It was good, and nice to have something different for a change, but I would like to be able to have other options in the box. It came with rice — choice of brown or white, fried plantains, some roasted carrots and potatoes, pickled cabbage and some shredded carrots that had some seasoning. The problem with that combination — too much starch. You don’t need potatoes and rice. I would have liked it better if the carrots were roasted with some other non starchy veggies — maybe zucchini or mushrooms. And if carrots are the roasted veg the shredded carrot item is kind of redundant. They also asked us if we wanted white miso or spicy sauce. After eating I looked at the menu board, those were the choices for the BB Box, not the JJerk box. The miso sauce was good on the rice, but the other items had enough flavor they didn’t really need sauce. The avocado cream sauce might have been a nice touch, to give a creamy element to the veggies. They definitely don’t have the portions down yet either. My coworker got the JJerk box yesterday and had significantly more chicken than I did. And another coworker who got the BB box during the week for dinner and yesterday said his lunch yesterday was a significantly larger portion than he had during the week. My coworkers got several sides including the pita chips with herbed feta dip, and they let me try those and they were very good. Another coworker got the fries and they were very reminiscent of a fast food joint with a golden arch(which is not a bad thing) I would like to try some of the meats as a wrap or sandwich, the JJerk box just has too much starch, or maybe I’d be better off with the BBBox that has some other veggie options. They have a soda machine serving Stubborn sodas which we had never heard of. We tried the Agave vanilla cream which was very good, and I would like to try some of the other flavors. Its nice to see something different than the leading 2 soft drink manufacturers. (** Edited note — I just looked up Stubborn Soda, apparently its a craft soda line launched by Pepsi! Sure didn’t taste like it) I hope they do well and iron the kinks out.

4 stars because they’re new and get the benefit of the doubt. Lady that seemed like the owner made us wait at least 5 minutes while she took a phone order. In her defense, it seemed they were being difficult on the other line. The meats look great roasting in the open and the food was actually pretty decent. VERY large portions. I’m one who never has trouble finishing a meal… I mean. EVER! But the rice bowls are packed with rice. Which is fine, but feels like a bit much. The meats were well prepared and my Chicken rice bowl with cilantro sauce was savory. Ordered shoestring fries as well which turned out to be just fries. $ 12 total. A bit pricey. We ordered our meals to eat there but we’re given to go. Minor inconvenience as we like to be waste conscious. Will probably make it back but didn’t leave enthused.

Such a great eatery here in Valencia! Stopped by with the family to try something new and so glad we did. The banh mi was delicious with great flavor and a good kick of spicy, and my son devoured his beef wrap like there was no tomorrow. Polite service, clean with a modern vibe — we’ll definitely be back!
