Summer Hotel — Not Good 1 — There was no A/C in the rooms 2 — The hot tub and saunas were not turned on and the hot tub was covered 3 — There is free parking but it’s a very very small space and limited. Also there’s double parking in the tight space so if you need to get out you may have to wait. The location of this place is great and it’s right in the middle of action — literally in the middle. But for a summer getaway this hotel isn’t ideal. This is definitely a hotel much more geared for winter activity and the snow bunnies.

Terrible ratty hotel and owners daughter is rude rude rude. Heat stuck on the whole time. Had to shut off the valve. Slept with the sliding door open and 14 degree weather. Heat didn’t work the whole time. TV broken. Never worked. Terrible terrible place.

Stayed one night, booked online through a travel website — standard room. Never expected to be subjected to thumping disco music nearly all night. Hotel front desk staff never mentioned this possibility even though they are completely aware of this issue. When I brought it to their attention the next morning — their response was«sorry.» That response is simply not enough — it was their fault not to mention this issue and give us an option of upgrading. I would never stay at this hotel again — and certainly caution Unilocalers to «be wary of the standard rooms, no matter what rate!»

Stayed at the hotel last weekend and was very satisfied with the hotel staff(very helpful) cleanliness, location, bar atmosphere, great continental breakfast. Wish they had an outdoor hot tub rather than indoor but other than that it was perfect. Awesome location! Middle of the village. There wasn’t as much street noise as I expected which was nice. We even met Pepi the owner in the gym… super nice. I’d stay here again!

Stayed here over MLK weekend 2014 on late notice. Had an availability so we took it not knowing what to expect. Level of service and friendliness of staff totally blew me away. Really has a family-owned inn feel to it. While the hotel is not by any means ultra-modern or super high end, it is in an ideal location and very clean/comfortable. All depends on what you are looking for — if you want good location in the heart of the village without paying for all of the over the top frills, look no further. …and oh ya, it doesn’t hurt staying right upstairs from Pepis Bar — great après spot…

I will start by saying that if Unilocal gave me the option to give this place 0 stars, then I would. We had a reservation through to stay Sunday night because where we stayed the previous 2 nights(lodge tower) was booked. Side note, I definitely recommend lodge tower! When we arrived to check in after a long day on the slopes we were greeted in the most unusual way. We felt like we were putting the front desk guy out by checking into the hotel. He kept«talking down» to us and making us feel like we were inconveniencing him. He proceeded to ask us how many people were staying in the room and we said 4 adults. He said that will cost 90 $ more than our quoted reservation. I felt like that was absurd so I asked him to talk to the manager because he repeated told us there was nothing he could do. When the«manager» came out to address us she starts by raising her voice and, like the front desk guy, talked at us as if we were putting her out and we’re not important PAYING customers. Here’s the kicker, she was hammered, not drunk, not tipsy, hammered! We immediately asked to talk to the owner because as most people know, there is no reasoning with someone who is intoxicated. She said«I am the owner(which she isn’t because she later admitted she wasn’t) and you have two options, pay 90 $ extra or I will call the cops. As she continued to elevate the situation in the middle of the hotel lobby where other guests were passing by and staring at the situation in awe, she proceeded to call the cops(for what, I don’t know because she was the one out of line). The cops came and she couldn’t formalize a complaint and in the process she ended up embarrassing herself along with the hotel. Words can’t articulate how poor our experience was. We ended up leaving the hotel and staying at the holiday inn that night. I urge anyone thinking about staying this hotel to reconsider because they don’t understand the concept of customer service.

We did not stay at the hotel but came in to the bar for food and bier. It was awesome! First of all let me say the staff is so nice and they speak German so definitely a good way to practice a bit. :) Anyways, the KASESPÄTZLE haha was so good. If you’re into that kind of thing. It is rather pricey if you drink a lot but I loved it either way. Oh, also Pepi was there who is an Austrian Olympian(he owns the place) and all of his medals and trophy’s are there as well!

Skip it. The menu is overpriced and the food was mediocre at best. My steak was such a low quality cut it was equivalent to hamburger(yuck) and the sausage ragout was barely edible.

Perfect location, awesome view, wonderful service, and a great bar for after skiing. Perfect combination of convenience and reasonable price. Plus, Rod Powell is entertaining.
