Oh god where do I start… well chewy the beaner who hired me didn’t know I understood Spanish. So while I’m hearing these fucking bean dips talk shit about me to each other. No wonder there nothing but illegals working and cooking this food. I seen this one Mexican pick his nose and pick up a steak. Who ever ate that must have givin this place a 5 star lol. worst place to work. And Kelly’s fat ass doesn’t do shit but walk around and talk shit with her beaner manager chewy. Foods gross, ppl suck. And communication? Yea good luck with that shit haha. Never take you’re kids here to eat because people never wash there hands and the cooks are fucking nasty touching there nuts and picking their noses and touching you’re food.

Read a lot of reviews of Tahoe Joe’s, both great, good and bad, that said I wanted to share my first time at the Vacaville location. It was Father’s Day and also my Parents 68th Wedding Anniversay, they had been at this location before with rave reviews and decided they wanted to celebrate this occasion at this establishment. I was so impressed !! We arrived early with reservations at 3:50pm. The restaurant was 50% full and we were seated promptly. Our Hostess was very friendly and engaging, I do not recall her name and she was a lot of fun. I noticed that the restaurant was very well staffed, lots of waiters attending to everyone’s needs and were very accommodating with great attitudes. Our waitress was Amber, very friendly and offered us the daily specials along with a beverage request. We ordered a variety of drinks, martini, 7&7’s, mineral waters and iced teas. They were quickly brought to our table and correctly served. The drinks were generous and quite refreshing. At this time I noticed the restaurant was completely packed, but quite comfortable . Moments later, at a relaxed paced I might add, she took our dinner order: 3 orders of the house aged steak, one order of pork chops and one halibut. All meals were accompanied with choices of different versions of potatoes from mashed, baked or fried with their blue green string beans, which were delicious .Also house salads were with the order, topped with their house dressing. The meal was served 10 – 15 minutes after ordering, piping hot and Outstanding in every way. The House steaks were so tender and moist, flavor in every bite and quite filling. We opted for the larger size steak 10oz, but wished we had ordered the smaller. We took ½ of our steak order home. The pork chops were heavenly, super moist with a hint of outside charred ness and deep in Apple wood flavor, to die for. The Halibut was fresh and served with a rice pilaf so delicately prepared. All of us could not remember a better meal with outstanding and attentive service. Thank you Amber, you made our Family dining experience enjoyable and we will definitely return. Thank you all for making my Parents Anniversary a fantastic dining experience ~Aloha

We learned the first time we went in, and Patricia was our server, to always ask for her. Patricia is the best server I’ve seen in over 40 years. She is always friendly, polite and very attentive to any need or want a customer may request. Will not stay if Patricia is not working. Food is about normal for a Tahoe Joes, as we have eaten in a few around Sacramento area. Ask for Patricia if you visit.

Their food is good but waaaayyy overpriced. For the prices on those plates the presentation needs to be better and the food needs to taste better. I probably won’t go back because of this. Another thing that was a huge turn off was the place was so dirty… I’m not talking the ground either like peanut shells and stuff. The booth we sat at had dust caked on it. It looked bad.

I finally tried the local Tahoe Joe’s after moving to Vacaville 11 months ago. I had a sirloin steak, loaded potato and Caesar salad. My wife tried the offerings from the happy hour menu. My steak was generally good, the potato was very good and the salad was good. Unfortunately for Tahoe Joe’s, I had already tried Buckhorn BBQ and Outback in addition to Texas Roadhouse BBQ in north Fairfield previously. So the food at Tahoe Joe’s was generally good, at the same time, it was underwhelming and so Tahoe Joe’s seems close to just an average Steakhouse. So I’d rank Tahoe Joe’s in last place of steakhouses I would eat at. (1st)Texas Roadhouse (2nd)Buckhorn BBQ (3rd)Outback (4th)Black Angus (5th)Tahoe Joe’s

This restaurant has always been hit or miss. Tonight I ordered the special, sword fish. It was horrible– stinky and spongy– I had to send it back(and I NEVER send food back) and decided not to order anything else. I was still charged for my meal. They did comp me a dessert, but I was basically charged $ 26.99 for a salad and piece of cake. Awful.

It was our second day celebrating our anniversary and we decided on Tahoe Joe’s. I really didn’t want to drive to Sac this day bc it was kinda far and not motivated to any kind of commuting that day. It was a beautiful sunny day but cool after all the thunderstorms from the previous night. We walked in as soon as it opened and the hostess opened up the door, tried to hold the door open for us but not long enough for me to step in as she was heading back to her podium. It was kind of a dry welcome from the hostess. Oh well, maybe she didn’t feel like working on a Sunday. Instead of having us seated by the hostess, the wife and I took a quick left turn near the bar area and sat in one of the booths. That’s when Gavi greeted with his clean cut boyish handsome look welcoming us. He was like a ray of sunshine smiling from ear to ear. That kinda made our visit there a little better after the hostess’ not so warm greeting. He gave us the menu and we ordered two Arnold Palmer’s. As he left, I noticed the happy hour menu. I said to the wife, «Hey lets get that steak sliders.»(Only for $ 3.99) «That sounds good,» and when Gavi came back, we put in the slider order. About five minutes later he came back with our steak sliders and asked us if we were ready to order our lunch. I decided on the wood fire BBQ chicken with mashers and blue lake green beans and I ordered a citrus chicken salad for her and some buffalo wings($ 2.99) from the happy hour menu. As Gavi left to put in our order, we each grabbed a slider and started munching on the wonderful little morsels. The sliders were excellent. There were generous slices of steak in it topped with Swiss cheese and a wonderful sourdough slider bread. It came with a little dipping bowl of au jus which top its flavors to another level. It’s was perfectly salty with a pronounce beef flavor to it. I made sure I submerge that little slider in the rich au jus for a few seconds so the bread soaks in all that wonderful beef broth. When I bit into it, it was heavenly. I pretty much ate the slider in two bites and there was a little bit of au jus left. I looked around if anyone was looking at me and then picked up the little cup of au jus and drank it. Soooo good. Gavi then came back with my BBQ chicken with mash and green beans along with her citrus salad and our HH buffalo wings. The wings got my attention bc when I took a whiff of it, my nose and eyes got a little irritated so I knew it was spicy. That’s when my mouth started to water. I didn’t know what to start on first, the BBQ chicken or the buffalo wings. I took my fork and dove into the mash with the thick gravy. I cut into my BBQ chicken, slathered with a generous amount of Bbq sauce and I dragged it over the mash and gravy. I was in cloud 9. My wife looked at me and she started to crack up and said«slow down there big boy.» I proceeded and grabbed one of the wings and dipped it into the ranch dressing. Man that was the bomb too. After my feeding frenzy, I grabbed my ice cold Arnold Palmer and took a long sip of it to hydrate myself. Aahhhhh! I was experiencing a euphoric food high. Next thing I knew we were finished with our feast. Gavi came back and started clearing our table and offered us some dessert. I had room for dessert but decided not to order any and told him we’ll pass on dessert. I was craving for froyo instead. Gavi came back with the bill and it was actually pretty decent. It came out about $ 36 and bc Gavi gave such great service, my wife gave him a generous $ 10 tip. Definitely will come back to this place when I’m craving for some great BBQ chicken.

What… happened… to… my Tahoe Joe’s? Filthy, dirty tables, seats and — get this — dried food stains on the little tabletop lamps that have clearly been there a long, long time. Lazy wait staff in an empty establishment. Dirty plates, silverware. I should have refused to eat, or pay, and just left. Instead, though, I spit on my fork, cleaned it off with my napkin, and ate off of the unwashed plate. Now I feel dirty and ashamed(and a little bit sick). Thanks Tahoe Joe’s! Excellent dinner, but the service was incredible! Steve was our waiter, really incredible job! You would think he owned the place by the way he took care of us, had every question we asked answered almost before we asked. Refilled our drinks as soon as we finished them. If you come here, ask to be seated in his section, you won’t be disappointed!

My husband and I didn’t want to go anywhere, but we both wanted steak. Tahoe joes delivers! We thought it would be a risk to order a steak for delivery but hey we took a chance. That chance was well worth it! Everything was still hot when we got it, which I had hoped for since we lived down the road. It took about an hour maybe less to get to our door. The delivery gal was very nice and sweet. I would definitely do this again. Tahoe joes!

After a long day of Black Friday Shopping in the Outlets, my mom and I opted to dine nearby to satisfy our empty stomachs. Earlier in the day, she noticed this steakhouse, with«Tahoe Joe’s» glowing in brilliant neon by nightfall(can’t miss it folks). I would have to say it was around 9 pm when we walked in, and the place was rather empty in terms of diners, but abundant in Native American icons, «nature» décor, and a real hearty sense of the good ol’ American hunt. Atmosphere aside, we were greeted and seated quickly. Our server was very welcoming and informative when we asked for suggestions as it was our first time there. But, he fired off a detailed list so quickly while mumbling that we didn’t catch most of it. This was more than awkward, since the place wasn’t exactly bustling and there was no need to rush. Now as for the food — overall, it was only mediocre. Portions were huge. However, everything came off a bit too heavy and definitely gave off a «left to sit the whole day kind of feeling». My mom and I are big on sharing our food and having leftovers for the next day. We had: –pan seared calamari as an appetizer; it was delicious, yet a bit greasy on the palette –shrimp scampi; rather than having actual shrimp scampi as a main pasta dish, they serve Alfredo and shrimp scampi in a separate vessel, which was both a positive and a negative. The Alfredo was too oily, and the dish overall needed more acidity to cut down the heaviness. I didn’t touch the toast. –Joe’s 14 oz. Ribeye; cooked to a perfect ‘medium’, and was still juicy the next day. The vegetable rice pilaf we chose for the side was a bit on the bland and dry side though. In summary, the steak is excellent, but I can’t say the same for everything else. Pricing and satisfaction-wise? Not super worth it.

Had dinner out tonight after a soccer game in Vacaville. Chose to sit in the bar ordered dinner for two with two Joes Steaks and Railroad shrimp. The service was awesome. The kitchen was short on staff but the management and bar staff went way above & beyond to make sure our experience was good. With the kitchen staff being short meals were coming out slowly. I’m sure other customers were complaining and perhaps growing impatient however we figured how can we blame the restaurant for something out of their control. We’ve always had phenomenal experiences while dinning at Tahoe Joe’s and this was a fluke. Our meals were upgrade and the management went above and beyond by giving us a gift card to comeback on the house. I gotta say this is the best customer service anyone could ask for. They get it. You dine out for the food and the experience and if its not up to par they want to make it right. My hats off to the management and wait staff that exemplify what incredible service is all about. We will be back and are certain the experience will be everything we’ve grown to know Tahoe Joe’s is all about.

Tahoe Joe’s is located at the Vacaville Premium Outlets adjacent to Sam’s Club. Ample parking on a weekday evening and not overly crowded. It’s conveniently located for those who love to shop. We decided to order the dinner for two. Our main dish included medium rare prime rib with a choice of salad and a side. Also, a Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes appetizer and a Neveda Cheesecake to share with complementary bread. Everything tasted great! If you like a cheesecake with a thick graham cracker crust, give it a try. Definitely a winner! I enjoyed their Mint Green ice tea as well. Our waitress for the evening was new and was in training. She was detailed and attentive. Great service! Overall, it’s not bad of a steakhouse with an on par price range.

It was between 3 and 4 stars but when I thought about how good their cheesecake is, I had to give them the 4. I’ve been eating at Tahoe Joe’s for years. It’s been a stable steakhouse in Vacaville for quite awhile now. I’m not really wowed by their meat selections, which is why I struggled with 3 or 4 stars. So I usually opt for a pasta or salad when I dine here. Honestly the real reason I ever suggest this place is because I absolutley adore their cheesecake. It’s creamy, soft, buttery and HUGE. My family usually shares just 1 slice. It’s that big. The atmosphere at Tahoe Joe’s is just so Vacaville to me. Inside feels like a wooden cabin, with giant booths, warm décor, and plenty of large plates of food on the tables. I always know I’m home when I eat here.
