Popeyes

I use to come here quite often when I was working in Vacaville. They have the best chicken I think out of any chicken place, way better then KFC. Biscuits are so yummy as well. Loved the chicken tenders and mac and cheese!

Probably the rudest drive through experience ever, the woman who spoke to me had huge attitude and I ended up driving away without ordering things. I still come here every now and then because they’re so close to the Outlets and KFC moved to the other side of town (so it’s not as convenient to me) but I try to avoid it if I can. I reported her to their corporate office but they didn’t do anything~oh well, I’m sure they have much more important things to do (like maybe not cleaning their bathrooms).

Love this Popeyes! The first time I had Popeyes was in LA and it was not good at all. My dad took me to this one in Vacaville and I have completely changed my mind about fast food fried chicken. Now I don’t give it five stars because the best fried chicken I have ever had was Dandy’s fried chicken located in a not so safe area of LA (as suggested by the bullet proof glass separating the service people from the customers-I’d like to think its because people wanted to steal the chicken and fritters all the time). I have had both the chicken and butterfly shrimp here and it is good. I also love the service here. Dinning in late, you can check out how many people really do come to get the chicken just from this location.

I like Popeye’s, but this is the worst one I have been to. They are always out of everything that I want to order. Only half of the time will they actually tell you this before you get to the window. The food is okay, about the same as any other Popeye’s, but the service is show as molasses. And they won’t have what you want anyway.

Bought 2 biscuits that they didnt give me! & the mash potatoes had a dead type of bug yuuuck!.Next time check before you serve!

This is the best Popeyes store around. Always fresh food and the service is great! I will drive all the way from FF just to go to this store.
And they know how to hook up the Cajan Rice with gravy.

Ordered take out. Chicken strips. I should have checked my order before leaving. Ordered a 5 piece. Got a 3 piece. Food cold. What is it with Vacaville?

The food is good and the only reason it is getting 3 stars because the service is horrible. The people were completely rude, rushing us, not listening and trying to get us to go through as quick as possible. We weren’t even done with our order and they were trying to give us our amount. If it wasn’t for the food we would never visit this location again.

I am finally writing a review on THIS Popeyes. You may ask, «Titus? Why are you writing your review for us NOW?!» Well Unilocal,I am glad you asked.
I love Popeyes chicken… and no, it’s not b/​c I used to work there but they just have a different taste quality that makes you say «mmm mm.» Spicy or mild, it doesn’t matter!
BUT…
I have checked in to here on multiple occasions. And on those occasions, I would experience a different scenario:
1. Missing a side order in dinner.
2. Missing one out of three pieces of chicken in dinner.
3. Forgetting to add requested condiments.
This does not discredit the food, just the service. If their service was always on point, not sporadic, I know the would have more stars on the Unilocal meter. C’mon Popeyes!

Pro’s: delicious chicken, sauces, sides, and the best biscuits you’ll ever taste in life.
Con’s: LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE.
I only continue going here because the food is delicious, and does not disappoint. However, the customer service is literally the WORST I have ever experienced, fast food or otherwise. And TRUST ME, I wouldn’t bother writing a review for one bad service. The specifics of what I’m about to share happen EVERY TIME I visit this Popeye’s (and the one in Suisun).
Going through the drive through is… An experience. Placing the order is only a taste of what is to come. To start, you MUST repeat your order 3 – 4 times, and no, there is no issue with the speaker. At the end of your order, expect to correct the person recounting your order, because they will make mistakes, despite how many times you repeated that you want MILD chicken. Mild. Chicken. MILD CHICKEN!!! also, expect to be cut off whilst actively speaking. «Ya Hi, can I please get a number 6 mi…» «Would you like that mild or spicy???» «…mild» «OK mild. Wait, did you say mild or spicy number 5?» «Mild number 6»… You catch my drift.
Finally, the order is placed correctly. You drive up to the window, hand the credit card to the worker, and get handed your drink. But the lid to your sweet tea isn’t on properly, so it beings pouring down your arm into your sweatshirt, as it is being handed to you. Sticky. Ass. Sweet tea. I HAD TO ASK HER FOR NAPKINS. She could not comprehend that I would need napkins to wipe the sweet tea off my arm. WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO, LADY, PUT THIS DRIPPING STICKY DRINK INTO MY CAR?!?
Next, after getting additional napkins because she dropped the ones that were to help clean up my arm, she hands me back my card but then immediately asks for it back because she «forgot to slide the card». OK.
And FINALLY, with a sticky arm and sweater, I am handed my food. Before handing me the bag, I am asked what kind of sauce I would like. I respond by asking for a blackened ranch and a sweet heat (two standard sauces). I check my bag to find BBQ and honey. Um. What? You LITERALLY just asked me. Now that the service window is closed, I have to gain the employees attention to get my correct sauce.
To make a long story short, the employees are rude, incompetent, and should be required to read at a middle school reading level because based on my multiple visits, any form or reading and/​or listening proves to be a great challenge to them. If it wasn’t for their food, I would NEVER go to Popeye’s.

I love popeye’s chicken. But I will no longer frequent the vacaville store. I will drive all the way to Dixon. The customer service is horrible at this location. the customer is never right and they show no flexibility with orders. This is the only popeye’s I have ever had an issue with.

2 stars because they were pleasant at drive thru, even when I added to my order at pick up. 0 stars because myself, son and daughter got food poisoning. How do I know? We all 3 vomited within 12 hours of eating the chicken. My wife did not eat the chicken and had no issues. I may try it again… .not sure, but definitely not allowing kids to do so.

The chicken is good here but the service sucks. Every single time I come here no matter what time it is I have to pull up to the front. If you have time to wait 10 to 20 minutes then go ahead and stop by.

For the most part this place has been good, till recently. Ordered spicy chicken strips, cashier even ordered the items correctly. Sat down to eat and found that what i recieved was their orgional falvor. Took items back to the counter and the lady acted like i ordered the regular and proceeded to tell me that this is what i ordered. when i presented the reciept to her and show her that i ordered spicy i got ignored and then she gave me my correct meal. no apolgizes and did not care.

I’ve always loved Popeye’s chicken. There is absolutely no problem with the food, but it’s a matter of service that varies from one location to another. No, I don’t know you’re getting me napkins by walking away! I might as well talk to a wall because the employees are mute. The chicken tenders are super tasty, and priced well. Great for in-​the-​car fast finger food.

This one star has nothing to do with the taste of the food. It’s Popeyes, it’s the same everywhere.
This one star is because my husband found glass in his coleslaw, and when we called the manager, all she offered to do was give us another side. We didn’t want another side! We just wanted food without glass in it. She didn’t seem too concerned and I’m scared she won’t do anything about it. Be aware!

Food was fresh and hot and tasty! Service was excellent. My first visit at Popeye and definitely not my last!

This is the 2^nd time in a row that I did not receive the condiments for my order. Both times in drive thru. What makes it worse she didn’t put lid on properly on my ice tea and it spilled in my lap. Going to mcdonalds from now on.

I came here last night and got the 3 strips dinner with mashed potatoes and a biscuit. The strips they gave me were so humongous that I ended up giving a whole strip to my boyfriend even though I was starving. They were fresh and hot and good as always. My only complaint would be that I said I wanted spicy, and I’m pretty sure they were mild, since I usually get mild and these tasted exactly the same as usual. The biscuit was pretty good, I guess everything could have been a touch hotter, but it was hot enough. The mashed potatoes were just ¾ full which is why they got 4 stars instead of 5. I asked for barbecue, sweet and sour, honey, and butter, and they gave me all of them (too much even, I only needed like one of each).
This meal could have been improved by the addition of a wet napkin. I had sticky fingers all the way home, but I guess it was worth it.

What happened to the cool employees that use to work here? Dag nab it! Efficiency went down 50%. Wow! I’ve never seen so many people waiting for their orders. Newbies. What can you do? Maybe get the old employees back?
I like Popeyes on Tuesdays. You can’t beat 0.99 cents for a thigh & drumstick special.
