Food Lion Store 1414

I’ve been going here for years. Prices are good, we’ll stocked and food is always fresh. I just wish they’d pretty up the place a bit with a little flare. It’s just drab. The employees are always pretty friendly. I’ve never had a problem here.

I don’t care what anyone says, Food Lion, you are the one! Every time I’m on a budget, I come here. They have wonderful prices and great selections to choose from. It’s also worth getting their reward card because on top of already great prices, they can be significantly lowered once you put your reward/​phone number in. They have a wonderful variety of different foods & brands to choose from, the only down fall is that they don’t have a fresh seafood/​meats counter which drives me nuts. I always have to go to Giant across the street or Safeway if I want fresh steaks or shrimp for dinner. Sucks! The bakery is pretty bare as well. Not much to choose from.
The staff are always friendly and aware of when you need help finding something. Even the individuals restocking will stop just to help out. This location is very clean and has a bathroom in the back, past the diary aisle, for customers who just can’t hold it. Lol.
All in all, I love Food Lion, cause I’m a baller on a budget, and they understand that I rather not pay 4 bucks for milk if I don’t want to. Haha.
Favs: Great customer service and cleanliness.
Would Change: I wish they had a fresh seafood counter :(

One on every corner in the area, a favorite of the locals as it seems.
Food Lion, IDK, the name seems kinda cheesy, old-​school & so 1970s to me (not that the 70’s were cheesy), but I did find some very nice sales inside. Produce is fresh looking, I didn’t taste them so I can’t attest.
After visiting this particular location several times, I did find them to be stocked with most items, except those Murray Butter Cookies, which must be a favorite of the locals because the 2 rows, where they were placed, were EMPTY.
Very friendly & helpful staff. Quick check outs. Clean, non cluttered aisles. Ample parking. Baskets inside, which is a plus, as they aren’t subjected to the elements, I dislike rain soaked baskets. Loyalty cards give discounts.
Quick Important Note: No booze, not even beer (package liquor store here I come)
