Fresh, good. Friendly service. Pretty restaurant. So many yummy things I wanted to order. Avocado mousse really interesting refreshing dessert. Will definitely be back.

If you love delicious food you MUST go to Frida’s! I had the avocado mushroom wrap, masa cakes, ultimate veggie salad and pineapple jalapeño sangria. All of them were perfectly made and very fresh. I already want to come back for dinner! Really this was the best vegetarian food I’ve had in a long time.(And I’m not a vegetarian)

Impressive! Had the mexican quinoa wrap — filled with absolute deliciousness. Would definitely order again. Loved every bite! The wrap came with a side kale salad that was awesome. Well here’s where we go from a good restaurant with good food to OMG … it all comes down to service. Sara went above and beyond to not only help me place my order(I of course had a million questions) but she also gave me some infused water while I waited and even offered a taste of the overflow from a banana/walnut smoothie(gotta go back for that). All of that would’ve had me loving Frida’s but nope there’s more … Sara not only caught me before I drove off to let me know that the Black Bean & Jalapeño Masa Cakes didn’t make it in my bag but then she included this lovely surprise for me … avocado mouse! Thank you Sara!

Love everything on this menu– My favorites are the Immune Booster smoothie(with bee pollen), Taco Salad, Masa Cakes(obsessed with the sauce on these!), and the egg salad wrap. I haven’t tried anything that was less than delicious!

Frida’s makes me feel like I’m in Malibu. The tree-like plants swaying, the nice breeze flowing, ceiling fans on slow rotation, track lights dim, large windows, ambient tunes, marble, wood, metal, detailing, asymmetric wall cutouts, accent paint and of course the menu. Food/Drink: *Mango, orange & basil infused water *Kale Salad with sunflower seeds, diced avacado cherry tomatoes, scallions & a deliciously light vinegar dressing What else: *Wine, Beer, Juice, Smoothies *Soups, Salads, Sandwiches *Wraps, Large Plates, Pizzas *Cool servers ~Christy

I finally convinced The Hubs to try Frida’s with me. The ambiance wasn’t quite what I expected but it was fine. The style and music almost reminded me of a salon environment. The waiter was friendly and informative. Starting us off with info on their infused water of the day. I also ordered Ginger-Lemon — Made-to-order soda sweetened with agave nectar. Fresh and tangy with a gingery kick. We started off with Spring Rolls(2)(v/gf) — Fresh spring rolls stuffed with red pepper, bamboo shoots, basil, and cabbage served with a truffle-miso dipping sauce. They were fresh and delicious. The sauce was amazing. The Hubs had the Frida Burger(v) House-made quarter pound«burger», tahini-chipotle slaw, tomato, Black Bear Bakery’s rye-sourdough bun. He made it a classic American Freedom burger(+ cheddar, pickles, red onion, mustard and house-made ketchup). He was pleasantly surprised at how tasty this was. He subbed buffalo potatoes for the salad, and they were awesome, spicy and cooked perfectly. I had the Falafel Wrap*(v) — Baked falafel, house hummus, cucumber, red onion, tomato, romaine, house-made tzatziki, local pita. I got it loaded(+sundried tomato, black olives, feta & red pepper). This was so good and I love that it is baked. It was super loaded, yay, so I ate it with a fork rather than as a sandwich. I had this with the mixed green salad which was a nice compliment to the sandwich. We will mos def be back as I must try more yummy stuff.

Great vegan place where the menu even pleases the meat lover. I normally get the bodybuilder salad and hubby gets the tacos or the burger. Juices are great, good service and the infused water is a nice touch. Thank goodness for healthy eats in the Lou. Oh their desserts are decadent and yum.

I have been in the past for juices from the juice bar and have enjoyed them. I thought I would give this place a try for food and ordered a Mexican wrap. After taking just a few bites, I realized that I didn’t really like it. The taste was odd yet bland and the quinoa did not pair with the sour cream. I asked the server to take it back and replace it with a juice, and she flippantly replied, «I’m going to have to charge you for the wrap anyway» So I basically got a $ 22 cup of juice. Not very good customer service for a place that serves unique food such as this. I am not sure I would like to go back there again or not…

I stopped into Frida’s for a late lunch today. I have been dying to try this place. So glad i finally did! Lots of bright, natural light and adorable décor. I was expecting more of a small, «order at the counter» café, but it’s actually very spacious and«fancy casual»…if that’s even a thing. I was greeted and seated right away. Adam was a doll and answered all my questions with spunk and a smile. Cucumber and peach infused water? Yes please!!! I ordered the taco which was huge! Lots of fun, fresh veggies with seasoned sunflower meat stuffed into a brown rice tortilla. Impressed. If i chewed slowly enough, for a moment i thought i was eating an authentic Jack in the Box taco. Good ol’ college days. Anywho, my tab was $ 10 and I will be a(frequently) returning customer.

Met a friend here for lunch last week and went because several people had RAVED about this place. It was a slow time of day so we were greeted and seated quickly. The décor was nice and bright and had lots of natural light streaming in. I asked for a water, it was infused with cucumber and peach. I’m guessing since it’s not the height of cucumber season, it tasted sour to me, plus it was not cold. I didn’t care for it. I ordered a taco salad, there was nothing that wowed me about this dish. It was lackluster romaine that had lots of brown edges, the dressing had no zip to it. It was essentially a salad with black beans, tomatoes, cheese, black olives, onion and a bland dressing that was nothing reminiscent of a taco flavoring. M friend had a different salad, nothing about it wowed her either. The server was great and allowed us to overstay and visit. She was the best part of the experience as she was knowledgable about the menu and friendly. Probably won’t go back or recommend. Was hoping for a party in my mouth experience of a vegetarian meal. It did not deliver.

I eat a meal from Frida’s about once a week. At least. Lazy alert: they deliver to my apartment and I’ve only actually been inside of the restaurant once. I know, judge away. But at least I’m getting healthy vegetarian eats delivered instead of a pizza! Don’t hesitate to dine in here. The interior is bright, beautiful, and welcoming. They’ll greet you with a glass of infused water right away, and who doesn’t enjoy that? The service is friendly and attentive as well. You guys, this food is healthy and incredible. I’ve never had something I didn’t enjoy. These are a few of my favorites: *The taco — my top favorite! Ever had sunflower taco meat? Don’t rule it out, because it’s really wonderful and almost has the texture of refried beans(which is perfect for a taco, clearly.) It’s also filled with cheddar jack, crimini mushrooms, red onion, scallions, avocado, tomato, romaine, pico de gallo, and sour cream. The brown rice tortilla is crispy and holds it all together so well! *The protein power plate — organic red and white quinoa, black beans, grilled zucchini, red pepper, red onion, avocado, tomatoes, chipotle crema, scallions, and a sunny-side up egg. It’s amazing. *Sausage and kale hash — steamed kale, vegan sausage, zucchini, crimini mushrooms, bell pepper, onion, rosemary roasted red potatoes, and a sunny-side up egg. The hummus is good too, and you should try one of their fresh juices. Frida’s makes you feel healthy while satisfying your taste buds, too. I’m so grateful for this place!

One of my top 10 vegetarian restaurants of all time. Frida’s offers a compelling mix of innovation, taste, ingredient quality, health, and service quality… and then there’s also environmental concern. I fell in love with this gem on my first visit — about six months after they opened. I try to visit at least once every time I am in STL. Over those four years, I have seen the menu expand, got to taste some new plates on their way to menu, seen the dining area expand and mature, always with an unwavering attention to service. The staff is gorgeous; bright eyes, clear skin, and a genuinely happy demeanor. I’m guessing they practice what they preach. Eating here is not just about having your taste buds dazzled, not some fix for a food addict. It is a solid menu built around«healthy lifestyle dining» — something you want to incorporate into every day. If you don’t know vegetarian food, and are veg*n curious, this is a great place to start — it exemplifies every thing that lifestyle should include.

The Cheddar BBQ Black Bean Burger was supreme. The sauce was delicious and the texture of the burger was smooth and perfect. Definitely will be back. I only had time for carry out, but the staff was amiable and the option was convenient. There were even grab and go drinks and desserts available.

Amazing menu, great staff, comfortable environment. I adore the sunflower taco meat which can be added to anything. I love that we have something like this in my neighborhood. One of these days i’m going to stop in to try a fresh juice or smoothie. I’ve only gone in for lunch or dinner and recommend this place to everyone who appreciates vegetarian food and even some who haven’t a clue!

Came here during my lunch break for a quick bite and was pretty impressed! They start you off with some infused water of the day — mine was a Peach Basil, which was cool and herbaceous. I wanted something light so tried the Raw Fettucine, which was delicious. At first, I thought it lacked flavor but all the yummy goodness was hiding at the bottom, so make sure you mix it up! The zucchini noodles were NOT watery or soggy, they were crisp and held the flavor well. The green onions were a refreshing burst of flavor and the sundries tomatoes really tied it all together. I got the Chocolate Avocado Mousse to end — definitely worth sharing because it was a bit too rich for one person. Still, I struggled not to wipe the ramekin clean. Shavings of coconut and a drizzle of some sort of caramel added some texture and the mousse itself was delectable. Bottom line, great place where«no one laughs your dietary needs». Update — I went back for another delicious lunch. I dare say, Frida’s tops Seeds Café and PuraVegan IMHO. The Mediterranean Salad was best dressed(that lemon vinaigrette is divine) and boldly flavored. Tried the peanut butter cup for dessert which is just the chocolate avocado mousse with peanut butter(but still YUM)!

I always love vegetarian spots that offer more than a salad, veggie burger, and stir fry. A bonus is that it’s close to home… and the delivery service is great for a lazy day. I love the Raw Fettuccine Salad, always light and delish, and the Cold Turkey Wrap. Give ‘em a try!

I went to Frida’s on my girlfriend’s recommendation and was highly skeptical because it was supposed to be health food(I’ve had bad experiences with self described health food). The first thing I noticed was that the décor was very nice with interesting but unintrusive music in the background, and the second was how friendly the staff was. I ended up getting the Frida’s Burger with the Kale Salad. After the first few bites, I was a bit unimpressed, especially since I’m usually very picky about veggie burgers. However, I started to realize all of the subtleties to the taste and ended up blown away. The bun was even soft and wonderfully flavorful, and the rest of the ingredients blended wonderfully. The salad too was phenomenal, the sesame seeds add a very nice touch. I even really liked the coffee, which tasted familiar for some reason. It turned out to be Thomas Coffee which is absolutely the best of the cheap coffees and is even roasted in St. Louis. Anyway, I am a skeptic no longer and cannot wait to try it again.

I had the Frida burger with potatoes and it was very meh. I usually don’t send food back and I didn’t, but I should have. In my mind I thought I could have gone to Whole Foods got some ingredients and made my own burger. I’ve been here several times and this burger and potatoes really turned me off.

Very large selection for those with special diets, especially vegetarian. I’m not a vegetarian but was happy to try this place. I really enjoyed my black bean burger. As with several black bean burgers, it falls apart a bit, but the flavors and seasoning on it made it really stand out, and I would easily recommend this sandwich to others.

Hello gluten free in my hood. Sometimes that rock i live under keeps me from knowing about the best spots. Was on the block with Princess Tootie after enjoying a wonderful biomat session(Mind & Body is on the corner) and just so happened to finally notice this place. Really MONAYE. Anywho… Yes the water literally gave me life! We started off with Hummus as I am a huge fan, it was OK but I make it at home soooo — .you know how that is. Gluten-free Tootie ordered The Taco for her meal with salad and was love at first bite. The pico was the freshest ever and super duper yum. I ordered the Frida burger and was not disappointed. This was it YALL. I almost fell out of my seat it was really that good. Service was wonderful and the ambiance of the place is good for most ages. Small children will definitely be better earlier in the afternoon before all of the candles are lit. But this is what keeps me coming back to Frida’s. They sell the best local honey right in the store. I used to have to drive out of my way to get honey I loved.

I absolutely adore Frida’s. It is literally my favorite place to meet up with people, to chat, to catch up with each other. The place itself is so nice and clean. In my opinion, it has a modern feel to it. Marble tables, light wooden floors, little dainty flowers in empty salt shakers. The whole restaurant is full of sunlight from the windows that fill the wall. It’s an amazing place for people who have a different diet, as in: gluten free. Vegan, vegetarian, raw, etc. It was kind of love at first sight/sound. When the waitress came up to our table and stated«our water is infused with pineapples and strawberries today,» that was it. Right there and then I knew this was my holy grail. I ordered raw zucchini pasta, and note, I have been to many places in order to try their version of it; this place literally blew me away. You still had the freshness of the zucchini, but it wasn’t watery or soft, it was crisp and refreshing. The sauce they used complimented the pasta, but didn’t over do it, just enough. They added sun dried tomatoes, which totally blew me away. It looked simple, not many ingredients, but God damn, a piece of work. I also ordered green tea, and when I finished they resteeped it, which I thought was very thoughtful. And my total literally came to $ 10. I am obsessed with this place, and it is amazing for, made simple.

This is a great place for great vegetarian food that meat eaters will love. There is also a fruit infused water to sip and most of the homemade soups are delicious. The Taco. Oh man this dish is the thing first thing you need to try in this place. It contains sunflower meat which I don’t know what is, but it tastes great. For dessert, there is a chocolate peanut butter mouse cup that is fantastic.

A friend of mine recommended Frida’s, an all vegetarian. We had a reservation so when we got there we were immediately seated. Started off with the spring rolls which were pretty good. It came with a mayo-based creamy dressing which was very good. For main course I ordered the Kale salad which was topped off with small tomatoes, fresh avocado, sunflower seeds and their house dress. It was pretty basic but everything came together. My friend ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with a side of dried raisin. She said it was pretty good and tasted well. For dessert — dark chocolate peanut butter cup — OMG so freaking good. It goes really well with their coffee which is also very very good. The setup inside is very organic, wood, plants and sustainability even the straws are made from recycled material. They do have a fairly large selection of foods. Including bacon, turkey, burgers etc but everything is made of beans. So if you’re a vegan or vegetarian Frida’s got you covered.

Don’t you hate sharing a disappointing meal with a friend at a restaurant which you just recommended as one of your favorites? When we arrived at Frida’s around 7 p.m. last night, it was busy, but not terribly so. There were several open tables. We were seated immediately and given menus, but it must have been five minutes before our order was taken, and then another 10 before they arrived. We each ordered the Arnold Palminator — an Arnold Palmer with ginger. It tasted more like ginger with an Arnold Palmer. Way, way too strong, in our opinion. It got better as I stirred it, but I still forced myself to finish it. My sinuses are cleared now. The infused water of the day was cucumber pineapple and it was the most tasteless infused water I’ve had there. The weather was both warm and humid last night and the water, which was served without ice, quickly warmed up to room temperature. I asked for ice and she brought us a cup of crushed ice to split, but grabbed our glasses to refill our waters, leaving only about an inch and a half for us to gently splash the ice in. My big cup of soup came with the meal — I wasn’t asked if I wanted it earlier. It was an Italian white bean/mushroom/kale/etc. soup and it was rather flavorless. I didn’t finish it. My Frida Freedom burger was delicious as usual. I asked them to hold the pickles and for white cheddar instead of regular cheddar. I was charged an extra 50 cents for that. Wish that would have been subbed for free. My friend had the grilled cheese which I believe came with kale and of which she only ate half. She said it was one of the more disappointed grilled cheeses she’s ever had, and she’s had a lot, but then she isn’t into healthy eating, and I didn’t have it myself, so maybe it’s not bad. I am still a fan of Frida’s, but I hope my next experience will be better and I will update this review when I return.

YUM. Definitely go! First off, they infuse the water with different fruits/veggies every day. My mom and I noticed that right off the bat because the water was so sweet! It had cucumber and pineapple in it. Very creative, BUT if you have allergies to any fruits be sure to ask what the water was infused with. My mom and I had the hummus plate… a little small for $ 9 but very delicious! Sometimes bigger isn’t better. NOW. The dish I had was half of the zucchini fettuccini or something like that. VERY good. Love me some zoodles. The sauce was amazing. We got the avocado mousse to go and it’s a must try if you like avocado! I will return.

Damn it was a good day @ Frida’s. No barkin’ from the dog, no smog. The sun was shining and the weather sweet. The outdoor seating glorious, the infused water fantastic, and to boot they were offering an apricot sangria. Taco was huMonGous, and the half-order Caesar salad(with eXtra croutons!) was crisply bangin’ and super big enough.

Quality vegan, vegetarian and gluten free meals. Locally sourced foods both sugar and butter free. And, no meat. Nothing that previously snorted, oinked, or mooed. But, wait! Although it’s a little outside of my realm of enjoying real butter and some grass fed, hormone free, happy meats, my meal was delicious! Frida’s is a gem in the locavore dining landscape. The taco included an amazing brown rice shell with sunflower meat filling, romaine lettuce, cheddar jack, mushrooms, red onion, scallions, avocado, and tomato. Gluten free AND dee-lish! The kale salad with tangy house made dressing included sprouted sunflower seeds, tomatoes, scallions, avocado and nutritional yeast. I have no idea what nutritional yeast tastes like but this salad was fantastic. This cozy and quietly upscale little restaurant with marble table tops, a sleek, bright, modern look, and charming bud vase centerpieces, feels like a super cool cat, which is, incidentally, where the owners found the restaurant’s name… their cat, Frida.

I’ve been going to Frida’s for just over a year now and I have never had a bad experience. I am obsessed with the mushroom Ruben, Frida burger, and«turkey» avocado wrap. I’m not a huge fan of the BLT or the gyro however it seems the gyro has been updated and I am willing to take a second chance. Charlie has taken care of me on several occasions and is very attentive. This is one of my favorite spots to dine alone!
