Each restaurant has a dish that they specialize in. This restaurant’s name sums it up. If you’re looking for good phở in St. Louis, this is it. I have tried their appetizers and other dishes. Unfortunately, they don’t make the cut. A cool fall day or cold winter evening, I am craving phở from Phở Long. It’s better not to go during peak hours because the service lacks courtesy during overwhelming times(they need more staff, really).

Finally! After moving from Orange County, CA, the phở mecca, I have found phở that parallels what I left behind. I have not liked the phở anywhere in STL yet until coming to Phở Long. When we arrived at 11:30, the place was already packed. I’m not sure if everyone was just seizing the cold rainy day or if this is usual. Those who showed up closer to 12 waited for 15 minutes or so. The broth was great and there was a generous portion of meat. I learned to next time ask for extra noodles as i finished my noodles quickly with meat left. The spring rolls did not measure up to what I’m used to from a restaurant known for spring rolls(I’ve been spoiled) so I won’t order those again. No big deal– I can live without them. I’m just happy to have found a good bowl of phở tai!

The phở here is fine, but it’s not as good as some of the other phở restaurants in Saint Louis. The staff is very friendly, the service is fast, and the food is cheap. However, the phở broth here is not flavorful enough to satisfy my phở cravings. They make fruit smoothies here that are pretty good. I recommend the durian smoothie and the avocado smoothie(it tastes better than it sounds).

Oh man. I’ll save you all from the insanely long review I could write for Phở Long. I’ve been coming here for the past four years and I have to say it’s the best Phở in st louis, hands down! The pricing is extremely fair for a massive bowl of soup, also considering how clean the broth tastes. All around a fantastic place to grab some Vietnamese food! 11⁄10 will probably be eating here again this week!!!

Phở along is the place for Phở. With options of adding more broth and noodles how could you go wrong ! The dumplings are so wonderful and the service is great!

The broth for the phở was ok not very impressive but at least the meat was good. Being vietnamese and coming from California i guess my standards for phở is kind of high but i like the effort. The shakes were also good i just wished they had tapioca, you know those little pearls on the bottom. Overall i had a good experience here.

Stopped in for lunch today and had the no soup noodle bowl with fried shrimp, crispy spring rolls and sliced beef. Everything was cooked perfectly and the sauce topped everything off with a nice sour spicy kick. Excellent meal.

The food is always very good here. However the place is often times very crowded and the service can be a tad slow. Regardless, I highly recommend and I will continue to go back

I went there for lunch on 12⁄16 at 12:15 or so. There were two tables and about 4 seats available at the bar. I had not been there before, so I waited until the only young woman wait staff was available. I told her I was here the first time and not sure if I should grab a table or wait to be seated. She said she’d rather I sat at the bar as she’d keep the tables for bigger parties. I told her my back was hurt(and it’s been bad still). Can I sit at this table(and I was pointing)? She hesitated and said I should sit at the bar. I replied well, if I’m not that welcome here, I can do a to-go order. As we both were walking to the bar, I thought to myself what a stupid thing I said! She handed me a menu, and then I said«you know what? I don’t want your food anymore», and I left. I thought of a scenario if I had come with a cane or a wheelchair and was still a party of one, whether I would still be refused a table. She just missed a big order because whenever I go to Mai Lee or Phở Grand, I always always order more dishes(2 – 3) to go so I can share with my husband and we would have yummy leftover. Well, I will continue to stick with those two good trusty places and will never set foot in a discriminating place like Phở Long ever again. Good luck treating customers this way.

I met my partner here on his lunch break Monday. It was very busy and service was a little slow. Our server was very friendly. The price was good — two large bowls of phở plus an order of spring rolls for about $ 20. The spring rolls were excellent. They seemed a bit meatier than ones we’ve had at other locations. I was impressed with the amount of noodles that came in our phở. Mr. Fearless ordered the P1 with beef, while I had the chicken phở. I’m rather plain Jane when it comes to phở but I did find the chicken broth a little bland. I added some of the brown sauce at the table and that gave it a much nicer flavor. While I don’t feel like we waited too long for the food, we basically didn’t see our server again for some time until she brought the check. Overall, I liked this place and would definitely go back, just not when I’m in a hurry!

This little place is a hidden phở gem! I was craving some good Vietnamese food and this place delivered! Don’t let the exterior fool you, they are very clean and friendly and very well priced! The dry shrimp and beef phở is very very good. I will certainly Be back.

I’ve been going here at least once a week for the last five years, even before they moved from next door in their old location. Phở Long has my favorite bowl of phở in town, great spring rolls, egg rolls and gyoza too. Haven’t tried much else of the menu because I like my staples so much I can’t seem to deviate from them! The staff is also awesome, they know mine and my group’s orders(with each having their own peculiarities) by heart, I’ve had many lengthy and friendly conversations with many of them and it feels like home every time I eat here. Phở Long for life!

I’ve been coming here for years for a great bowl of phở. My mom is one of the pickiest people when it comes to Vietnamese food and she loves the phở here. Now that’s saying a lot! Come here and try it!

Simple, but good and reasonably priced phở, egg rolls are good too. Generally my go-to phở joint. How fresh can you get when they give you raw slices of beef to cook in your hot phở? I’m always out to try new phở places, but I always come back here. There use to be a server that was terrible, looked like and acted like she hated her job, wasn’t welcoming, never seemed busy(sat around, watched TV) but neglected patrons — one time she delivered our dishes but then when we realized she didn’t give us any utensils it felt like forever until we were able to catch her attention away from staring out into space or watching TV. I actually stopped going for awhile bc of her, but I don’t think she works there anymore bc I haven’t seen her, so service definitely improved, changed from 3 starts to a 4 :)

If you are reading this, do yourself a favor and go try Phở Long! I’m usually super picky with phở, and I’ve come to compare any phở I have to Phở Long. It’s the best I’ve had so far. To start, the bowls are HUGE and very reasonably priced. The broth is just fantastic, it’s got such a deep flavor. Also, they always give you very generous meat portions compared to other phở places that seem to skimp on that. The spring rolls are also wonderful. They are served with the most delicious peanut sauce.

The best broth you’ll ever encounter. The phở warms your soul. Give this play a try. Nothing fancy here just fresh healthy ingredients.

Happy belly, happy life. This was our ahhhh moment of the day. Great atmosphere and very low key music that wasn’t cheesy or too loud. The Phở we ordered came timely and was absolutely delicious and oh-so-savory. It’s all the little details that makes this place so good: the chopped green onion, the authentically hot and hotter pastes, and the great feel of a restaurant where food and dining experience is well loved by the staff. The phở came with more than basil, it was served with cilantro and sliced jalapeños and those delicious little fresh and crunchy bean sprouts. The imported beers are great too, our waitress was so kind she even confirmed our choices. We won’t forget this incredible place, great atmosphere and next to at least 6 restaurants within walking distance and it was full, so you know it’s good.

Go to place on Saturday mornings with my hungover friends(as it is for seemingly the rest of the Asian population around here). No frills phở place that hits the spot every time. Note: It seemed like the portions were getting smaller at one point, but I noticed on my last visit that the portion was back to normal.

My coworkers come here every week for lunch, even though Mai Lee is just a few miles south. However, my heart has been stolen by Phở Long. The phở broth is much more savory and flavorful, which is crucial for a good bowl of phở. I would say PL’s broth is very unique in flavor. I think they have some magical ingredients in the soup because I daydream about this bowl of goodness in the office. One thing I wished they had more of is the toppings. A few times they’ve skimped us out on the basil or cilantro. Regardless, I love the phở. Also their dry noodles is another great alternative if you want something that doesn’t make you have a major food coma at your desk. The menu is limited and might not be as extensive as Mai Lees, but there’s a reason why people come back every week for the phở. Also the staffs are rockstars.

Seriously the WORST phở I’ve ever had in the St. Louis area, maybe even the worst I’ve ever had anywhere. Sad to say but it’s true. Slow service and yucky broth. Never coming back. Go to Truc Lam, Kim Son, or even Mai Lee before you try this place.
