Absolutely great food! Coney Island hotdog(chili dog) with garlic fries is a huge hit! Also, the burgers are juicey with bacon. Overall, the food is always delicious

I ordered a sausage with bacon and tomato combo. I chose chili cheese fries. Fries tasted plain not flavorful at all.

Ate here 8÷27÷2015. We ordered the Chicago Style dog, chicken tenders, and garlic fries. The dog was very bland and almost tasteless even with the fillings, and the fries very greasy — threw away about half of it. Certainly was nowhere near«the famous dog» as plastered on their wall! Completely the opposite! Costco Polish dog tastes better than this hot dog. The chicken tender was good, though. Would not want to eat here again! Don’t waste your money!

Trash. It tasted like nothing. We ordered a bratwurst and a Yucatan and both just tasted like nothing. I’d rather eat an Oscar Meyer Weiner

One of my favorite spots that makes good chili-cheese fries. I was introduced to this place back in 2007 by a former co-worker. Ever since then, I have been hooked! I’ve yet to try their other food items. I’m usually on the go when I come here and never get the chance to try other food items. But the chili-cheese fries are the absolute best!

This place is one of my favorites in Citywalk, in fact my only favorite now because of the amazing customer service. Never in my life have I ever been taken care of as much as I am when I order food here. There was a point where I ordered garlic fries everyday for two weeks from here! They memorized my order before I even say a thing now: garlic fries with avocado on top and a whole pickle on the side! They go above and beyond every time & always make friendly conversation. Even the cook is charming, always smiling and greets you when your order is ready. This hardworking team deserves a raise, if only there was a Jody Maronis in more parts of LA!

Well for fast eats and your craving a sausage… not sure why you would… but it is in the heart of Universal City… and does the work without having go inside the park and eat the stuff they feed to farm animals(as that is what the quality you get). Also if you don’t want to wait for ever and a day at the restaurants… then come here… eat…go inside the park… and you will be satisfied and money still in your wallet.

Jody Maroni has ruled as Lord of the Sausage Kingdom and Protector of the Realm since Abe Froman, the Mad King of Chicago and the Riverlands, was defeated in the Battle of Frankfurter during Sausagefest ’92. King Jody’s outpost at Citywalk caters to the White Walkers, Wildings, and Hodor on vacation from the North by offering a variety of Sausages(10) and Hot Dogs(7) to satisfy even Ramsay Snow, the bastard son of Roose Bolton. Summer is coming. Brace yourself. Tourists are coming, too. Seven Hells, they’ll need food. Get them a sausage like the Hot Italian Sausage($ 5.99) and some Garlic Fries($ 3.49). Save the Chicken & Apple Sausage(or any other chicken) for The Hound. Eating outdoors at Citywalk isn’t the cleanest of experiences, but it’s better than Flea Bottom. Prove to Ygritte that you finally know something by leading the family to Jody Maroni’s Sausage Kingdom. As Cersei, Queen Regent, always says, «Sausage, like love, is poison. A sweet poison, yes, but it will kill you all the same.» Valar Morghulis

Eh. I was really craving chili cheese fries and decided to get these over the ones at Tommys. Well they looked delicious… but they weren’t that great. The fries were really bland and the chili needed wayyyy more flavor. I would have brought a little container of chili powder if I would have known. The large order is huge, but the size doesn’t make up for rhe lack of flavor.

This is a sausage place but I Looovvee their chicken quesadillas with onions and bell peppers. Yummmm!!! French fries are also tasty and salty. This location is on Citywalk. They have outdoor seating right in front. The girl how always works the counter is super nice and friendly. If you come by and no one is manning the front, don’t worry. Approach the counter and see will come out from the back in a flash. They give you your food in a cardboard box. If you are taking it to go, they will give you another one and bam! You got yourself a little present of deliciousness. They have all their condiments outside on the left in pump containers. If you are heading to the park, I would definitely eat here for lunch. Also they sell churros here too! So if you waited til the park was closed to suddenly decide you were craving a church, have no fear. Jody has your back.

Yuck. Three of us all ordered different things, and all three were gross. $ 40 in the trash, literally… we went and ate elsewhere. Also, they wanted to charge us .75 cents for a bbq sauce for my daughters chicken strip meal… ok, I get charging for extra sauce but it should at least include 1… glad I didn’t pay for it, since they tasted of rancid oil.

Had there low priced joe’s smokin hot dog, boy that was a disappointment. Honestly, it was pretty bland i’ve had their other sausages and liked them. If you just want a cheap dog go further to pink’s in the food court

Honestly I don’t know what it is, but I thought I would like this place since there are soo many people out there that talk about Jody Maroni’s as one of the best but it honestly is one of the worst. Came here to get and italian and also add on some chili cheese fries. They put on way less chili and just a lot of cheese. Not a fan at all. The veggies on the hotdog had such an off flavor that I just couldn’t eat the hot dog anymore. Bread was not fresh and just tasted all wrong. I guess the only positive thing that came out of it, is that I got to check it out and eat it. But no this is not one of my favorites and I will not be going here.

Casual outdoor seating. Prices here are decent considering the location at Universal Studios City Walk. I ordered the Chicago style hot dog. Decent but not truly a Chicago dog. I requested the onion roll which was extra and it wasn’t worth it. The bun was dry. Hubs ordered the sausage and kiddo got the regular hot dog. Better value if you just need some sustenance from all the walking.

Great snack stop if you’re ever in the area. The various Brats and Dogs are better than average, but what i really come here for are the Bacon Chili Cheese Fries! There’s Garlic Parmesan as well, although not quite as good as other places.

definitely not like the Venice beach location due to this one lacks the personality and charm but it is a great roll out of an LA institution. Pretty much the same menu as the venice beach location. Great option to dine at CityWalk if you want something quick and hearty. Staff is pretty friendly. I wish they had more seating though. My fave is still the chicken apple sausage. Same as the ones you can buy in the grocery market but they always seem to taste better when they come off a greasy grill… this location has been here for years when Jody Maroni’s was in the stage to roll out. I’m glad it is still here as a dining option in citywalk when catching a movie up there. Corndogs for kids as well.

A bit over priced, but what can you expect at Universal Studio’s Citywalk? My chicken, bacon, and guacamole club sandwich just rocked my socks off. The garlic fries were really good, but I highly recommend eating them with a fork. They will make a mess in no time flat. All in all, this place was a great food choice without having to step into a restaurant in the area. Fun little patio area to enjoy outside as well.

I got a corndog and a Boardwalk dog with fries during lunch after savaging my way through Universal Studios. Corndog was bit bland, but the boardwalk dog MORETHANMADEUP for it. I ORDERED it with extra cheese… omg so amazingly good. I got corndog, boardwalk dog with soda/fries combo all for under 13 bucks. that’s hell of a deal

2 boardwalk dogs for me and my boyfriend = GOOD: the hot dog snapped in our mouths; the buns were steamed soft; and the bacon was crispy 1 order of regular fries = GOOD: well cooked so it was crisp on the outside and mealy on the inside and had to get a side of ranch to dip them into :) 1 order of garlic fries = YUMMY” heavy handed with the parsley but the garlic flavor was still strong enough to come through Wish there was indoor seating so as to stay warm from the cold weather and to not have to stuff the hot dog in my face with people walking by. Overall pretty good but the price is a bit stiff for a hot dog!

I’d been reading about Jody Maroni’s Sausage Kingdom and have seen it at various locations although I’ve never had the opportunity to try it before this time. When I saw this place, I knew immediately I had to give it a taste. I ordered the Chicago style dog and from the menu it said that their dogs ‘snap’ so I was seriously excited to try this. I love dogs but only when they snap because texture is so important to me. It didn’t take long before I got my dog and the toppings, though were the correct toppings, just did not look like the dogs you get in Chicago. There was no dill pickle to be found and the pickled peppers, though spicy, were not the correct kind. I did not taste the celery salt either. I bit into the hot dog and sadly the snap was so minimal it wasn’t anything special at all. I was definitely disappointed. I had expected a super snap on a great tasting dog with above average condiments but bleh, it wasn’t all that at all.
