Service was amazing but the food is overpriced for what it is. My boyfriend and I ordered the cajun shrimp appetizer and it was delicious, definitely the best part of the meal because it came with garlic bread and we’d dip it in the cajun sauce. He ordered the Tennessee iced tea, which was yummy but I loved my Georgia peach iced tea, it was sweet but by the time I finished the drink I was buzzing it hard. He ordered forrests feast, which included fish and chips, hush puppies, battered shrimp and fries. I ordered fish and chips with a side of broccoli. In the middle of Tue meal the waiter came and asked us trivia questions about the movie which was fun! The total came out to about $ 100 the food was ok, but not worth the price.

I love the atmosphere and the food… But I was most surprised at how good their Caesar salad was. Probably my favorite place for a Caesar salad.

DISGUSTING! Poor service, disgusting cold food, and expensive! I had a horrible experience at this restaurant tonight! I actually went back to my hotel and vomited! Go elsewhere!

This place is wonderful. The staff here are on point, never miss a beat. If you want a great dining experience with quality customer service no hint of irony or sarcasm in their smile or service this is the place. The food was pretty great too!

The food is fine and service is above par but the value isn’t there. Parking is $ 10 and they don’t validate or discount for eating there. The portions are small and it is easy to go over $ 30 for an average presentation of seafood. If you are fine with paying too much for a dinner that tastes like lunch and you have already parked there for another reason then this is a reasonable choice among the ones presented you at citywalk.

Bubba Gump was delicious! We ordered clam chowder to start and the Shrimper’s net catch(bigger portion) to share, along with 2 sides. There was WAY more than enough food for two people so I would say that what seemed pricey, really was not considering the amount of food you get. Service was great, especially with their system with signs on the table(Which allows you to get attention much faster from any waiter in the restaurant) 4⁄5 was only because I was not personally a fan of the forrest gump trivia question in the middle of dinner, but many people don’t mind that. Would definitely come back!

Great food, great drinks, large variety and good service! It’s a fun environment! The waiters are very attentive and friendly! It’s a little on the pricier side but you do get a lot of food. Highly recommend!

I’m not a seafood lover by any stretch of the imagination, so I can’t really have an unbiased opinion on the food, but the service was incredible! Our waiter was quick to offer suggestions and I never saw the bottom of my glass. On top of ambarrasing a friend for his birthday, it was a great night!

Never had been to one ever, however enjoyed every moment there. The was so much and so good that it left me in a food coma. Staff was super friendly and we had 3 – 4 people coming up to if anything was needed.

Imagine a seafood chain that was conceived by a retarded savant. Envision this dynastic empire built on the ideas of a waddling mongoloid. Embrace a world where this fictional messiah reigns over a planet caressed in the gentle dominion of his divine ignorance. That’s Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. An idea exhumed from the bowels of a marketing consultant that was left under the lamp too long, and allowed to gestate and grow. Unnoticed by anyone, the sickness crept into our way of life, insidiously infecting the soft tissue of America’s tourist destinations. Bubba Gump is exactly what you would expect from contrived madness and a rock-solid tangential merchandising clause. They have charming dishes like the Bucket of Accidental Ocean Trash. They have fried objects. They nail creative signs to the wall that unfortunately hearken back to Alabama’s shameful flirtation with bigotry and segregation. They have a thinly manufactured culture and method of communication designed to create an experience of feeling as confused and denigrated as Gump Himself. My waiter taunted me with the tired exercise of how to engage his attention by flipping license plates on a pingpong paddle: red for: Stop, I’d like to order or call my endocrinologist. Green, go ahead and not give a fuck about me for a few minutes. Bubba Gump. The name evokes wiggling twitches down the nape of your neck, like liver flukes burrowing into your armpit. It is a surreal netherworld of disparate expats, congregating in a city you call home. They bring their weird accents, gurgling babies and nefarious attitudes. Eat here if you dare, but come prepared with your papers in order, and answers as to your background, grandmother’s associations with Mossad, which part of the country are you from and, oh yes, how long will you be in town. What are your business arrangements? How do you like LA so far? Not as smoggy as they say, right? Oh yes, he was in here just last week with his boyfriend. I know, but he’s totally gay. Bubba Gump would make an excellent soup kitchen, but today it is a mediocre reflection of banal franchising. Although it has given me a good idea for a Shindler’s List Haus of Meat.

Ate here for lunch on Halloween of all days. I was surprised to see it pretty dead inside. As soon as we walked we were immediately seated and our orders were taken. To kill time while our food was being cooked, our waiter came over and started in on Forrest Gump Trivia. I must’ve seen the film like 12 years ago and didn’t remember anything. We shared laughs at how many times I said, ‘Sorry I don’t remember that one.’ The food came out after about a 15 – 20 minute wait. I was surprised by the food portion size. It was definitely enough to fill us up. The food tasted delicious. I went with the Texas Cajun Chicken Sandwich. I bit into the sandwich and the chicken breast was very tender, and started shredding apart in my mouth. The first thing you tasted was the melted swiss cheese combined with the crispy bacon which textures combined to the point where you didn’t get the crunch. The Guacamole honestly topped the sandwich off. A fantastic combination of flavors with your standard order of french fries made for a tasty meal. Next time I’m in the area visiting Universal Studios Hollywood, forget eating in the park, I’m coming back to Bubba Gump Shrimp!

We went there on a Friday night it was not crowded at all. We got seated promptly our server came by quickly to get our drinks order, was very polite and made recommendations. Our food and drinks were great. They have a lot of fruity sweet drinks and you can purchase the nice lighted cup. The food had such a good flavor. The shrimp, fish, fries and cole slaw were just amazing. I have been to other locations and have been disappointed with their food, but not this location. I plan on going back to this one soon. Good chill spot to get your seafood craving fix.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co has several locations. This one is located in the center of Universal City Walk. You walk in and wait in a line to get seated. There was a little wait when we went for dinner. The restaurant is casual with an up beat staff. There is a license plate sign on the table that says«Run Forrest Run» which means we need something and«Stop Forrest Stop» means no service required.
:Food: For starters we got the Deep Fried Calamari, it came a wedge of lemon and a sauce. My daughter got the Macaroni and Cheese under the Kids Menu. It came with French Fries, Fruits, a special treat which a Blue Jello in a cup. The Bourbon Street Mahi Mahi was a little spicy and it came with mashed potatoes and grilled shrimps. The last dish we got was the Chipotle Crusted Tilapia. It was pan seared and topped with chipotle panko bread crumbs and a creamy lobster sauce and a side of jasmine rice. All the dishes we ordered was average. :Desserts: We ordered the Mama Bread Pudding. It had whipped cream and it was topped with ice cream. It tasted like a cinnamon roll and it was spongy. It also had raisins which I didn’t like. :Customer Service: Very energetic and a fun attitude. Before we got the check, Kevin gave us a Trivia. :M’s Notes: ~Free shuttle up to City Walk ~Groups up to 300 ~Private Banquet Room

Ate here after a few hours at Universal Studios. Ordered their grilled fish tacos and regular margarita with extra salt! Order came with three tacos. The fish(mahi mahi) was very tasty, fresh, and was a good size). The margarita was delicious and it was a good size as well. You could share it with another person if you wanted to. Staff were nice and friendly. Wait for the food was a little long(about 30 minutes) even though it wasn’t busy at all, but, since the food was good, I think the wait makes up for it.

Tonight I’m a lose my mind Better get yours cause I’m gonna get mine Party every night like my last Mommy know the drill at… BUBBAGUMPSHRIMP! — Pitbull(time of our lives) After a whole day at Universal Studios with my brother, we wanted to come here for dinner. We had just finished the Studio tour with the new Fast and Furious ride(pretty sweet) and the park was closing soon. I haven’t been to a Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant since I went with my parents when I was a teenager in Hawaii so it’s been a while! Located in the City Walk area, it makes perfect sense to eat here after a day at the theme park. Since it was a weekend it was quite packed, which was expected. One of my favorite childhood dishes is popcorn shrimp, so of course I was looking to get that. What’s even better is that they had mixed platters so we ordered a bunch of grilled shrimp cajun style along with hush puppies and popcorn shrimp and fish n chips. The food took a while but the waiters would play trivia games with us in regards to the movie ‘Forrest Gump.’ Two or three questions in, our food came out and we just put everything in the middle of the table and dug in. I used so many napkins during that meal it was quite a feast. At the end of the meal they even gave us a souvenir cup to take home. Lots of seafood + catching up with my brother = good times!

The food is average here. Shrimper’s Heaven isn’t as fresh as it should be, neither is the clam chowder. However the house salad is good. Atmosphere is pleasant and so is the service. Tip: use your season pass for a 10% discount.

Food is not that great here. We came with a large group so we had to order from the preselected menu. I got the fish and thought it was too dry. Buttttt the reason why it gets a 4-star is because of bubba and Forrest. Forrest Gump is one of my favorite movies of all time. There was a time in my life when I used to watch the movie once a week. The waiter gave our group a Forrest Gump movie quiz and I thought the questions were too easy, ha!

I’ve never been to a Bubba Gump before because I thought it would be really expensive. However I was surprised after stopping in here tonight that it’s really not. The décor, pricing, and food reminded a lot of Red Lobster, but higher quality. I loved all the dishes I got. Service was good too. 1. New England clam chowder: pretty good! Had that New England taste. I would recommend the bowl because the cup is really small and the price difference is only $ 2. 2. Shrimp gumbo: also really good. You get two scoops of rice in it. I thought it was pretty good, but gumbo in general is very salty. 3. Hush puppies: loved it! You get 8 of these fried babies, which are excellent for sharing. I actually ate 5 and felt a bit sick. I think 3 of these is maximum per person. The dipping sauce is excellent. I wish it had a little more corn in it. 4. Crab stuffed mushroom: just what I needed. Satisfying and surprisingly a good amount of crab. I definitely recommend this dish. I didn’t end up getting their awesome non-alcoholic or alcoholic drinks, although the menu looked awesome. Also it was too late for dessert.
