Food was great. Steak was juicy with a crispy char on the outside. Portions are big — definitely get the bowl so you can fill your own pouch. Toppings are fresh, though it’s confusing what is what. Service needs to improve — it doesn’t feel inviting and when I asked questions I get a blank look that suggests I should know better. But the food makes it all worth it at a decent price. Be sure to check it out.

Bad experience! employees were very rude and unfriendly. They all seems unhappy(from the server to the cashier) no smiley face at all. It was my first visit and I was not sure what to order the employee was rolling his eyes instead of suggesting or helping me to pick my food. The food was yummy but sad to say I will never return to this restaurant. This happened on Sunday and today is Tuesday but I am still not over the employees altitude.

Are you tired of the long line of Cava during the lunch time? My suggestion to you is that keep waiting in the line of Cava. Pita Pouch is not the replacement you are searching for. Even though both store’s employees seemed angry and the menus were confusing, but Cava has the taste of food. I ordered the beef bowl with many side items. The meat was dry, and the other side items were bland.

Cold food, rolling eyes, can’t be bothered attitude. It was my turn in line to order and the guy decides he needs to go to the back. This place went downhill fast. Quality of the food is poor. For around $ 10 for this bowl, there are better options at the mall.

Four stars to my new favorite place for fresh Mediterranean food fast. Truly the gold standard in fast-fresh Street-style Levantine food, the incomparable quality of this place leaves very other Middle Eastern counter service fast-casual place pales in the dust. More than a shawarma shop, Pita Pouch is an adventure in fresh falafel balls or chicken and beef rotisserie goodness served in your choice of a traditional pita or bowl. The secret to great shawarma is well-marinated, succulent meat turning on the spit – PP has this down to a science. Amazingly fresh toppings made from fresh, whole ingredients adorn your rice/bean/succulent protein base adding color and texture in layer after delicious layer. Some of the best toppings are: creamy hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, al dente fruited couscous, fried eggplant, cauliflower, tahini, kalamata olives, pickled turnips, and fattoush. Portions are GINORMOUS! Consider sharing a bowl with a friend; there’s a gracious plenty to go around.

WAYWAY overpriced for what you get. Staff are rude not accommodating. You are not a captive audience. Plenty of other more reasonably priced eats in the mall and surrounding area. Never going back.

Price to portion is way off bad customer service and the food did not even taste that well for a pita mall spot this one is on the bottom of the list goodluck

One of my favorite shawarma places in the area. Very delicious food with fresh ingredients and very friendly staff.

So, I’m a hard core Cava fan, but I think I like this place better! They don’t have as many options for meals(bowl or pita pouch), but their flavors are great and they have lots of interesting toppings. Your options for proteins are chicken, steak or falafel, which you get with a base of delicious rice and beans. I could just eat the rice and beans all day long. Then they have a medley of veggies and dips and sauces. My absolute favorite are the eggplant and cauliflower and babaghanoush. The portions are plenty and the staff is very nice. Tip: you can ask for the dips on the side so they don’t get all over your food and you can use them to dip your half pita into.

Food is not bad. But too expensive. You don’t want to go hear. Trust me. Employees are very rude. Roti is much much better across the board.

I am obsessed with this food court selection… It’s a chipotle style. You order your meat in a bowl or a pita and then you can request any topping. My favorite topping was the tomato and cucumber salad. It’s a healthy alternative to food court eating.

Not sure if I came on a bad day but when I began to order I was informed that there was no chicken. Then later no pita bread. Disappointing because I had been wanting to try this place since it opened at tysons. Kind of pricey for what you get and in my opinion not very good overall. I prefer to have cava which is similar to this place and way better tasting!

I would have given them 5 stars if they did few things differently. First, their bread is too dry, almost feels like cardboard. Second, if they want to be more authentic, they need to keep their meats more warm rather than cutting the meat off the skewer and store it in a lukewarm pot. Third, their condiments lack a middle eastern kick. Lastly, they are a bit on the pricey side for what you get.

I’ve been patiently waiting for this place to open up. It is a little expensive for«mall food» but the value was there. I had half chicken, half steak and both meats were tender and seasoned nicely. Huge selection of toppings. I was unsure of what a few things were and the employee filled me in which was very helpful. The pita that was served with my bowl was really dry, though. I did not have any problems with the employees or customer service. Overall, I will be back.

Probably the worst shawerma I’ve ever had in my life. They don’t cut meat freshly from the skewer they leave the meat in a container making the chicken super dry and gross. It literally looks like dog food. Really disappointed.

Overcooked & dry: steak shawarma and falafel– if this is how you like your proteins, then this is the place for you! Pita bread was soft and white dough chewy. We won’t be back because giving my money to charity is much more satisfying: $ 25 includes a bottle of water for two lunches

Everything about this place is fresh. Fresh food, fresh venue, and especially the mouth watering meat bowls you can get for around $ 11. I ordered a half chicken and half meat Mediterranean bowl and had just about every topping imaginable. It was so good. When I opened my bowl the smells were aromatic, the sauces kept the meat moist. The vegetables were crisp and the pita bread was nicely done. The chicken and beef had authentic shawarma spices. The meat tastes just like the authentic shawarma stands in the Middle East! This puts the gyro to shame. I love this place and would be back every week if it wasn’t so far. Thank you Pita Pouch for an amazing lunch.

Pita Pouch is good for a quick bite at the Tyson’s food court. The employees seemed busy and the menu was a little confusing, but the line went quickly. Being vegetarian, I ordered the Pita Pouch with falafel and added several toppings such as lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, purple cabbage, roasted cauliflower, hummus, and tahini sauce. The employee who was creating my pouch was generous with the toppings and added additional amounts upon request. After paying $ 10+ for the pita pouch and digging in, I found the pouch to be poorly constructed with most of the sauces at the top, leaving the bottom of my sandwich dry with only falafel. Overall, not the best falafel sandwich I’ve had, but still a decent bite.

The food is actually pretty good. The service and prices are insane. $ 10.50 for a slit open pita bread stuffed with shawarma and quality fixins? That is outrageous. Almost as bad as the $ 11 shawarma bowl but nothing beats $ 3.50 for about 15 fries? Rude employees. You can tell they are are frustrated with customers complaining about prices. This place has a lot of potential but they need to fix their pricing structure. You get so much more bang for your buck from Sabrina’s next door. Grill kabob has similar pricing but you get a huge portion. My prediction is this stall in the food court will be boarded up in the near future waiting for a new restaurant to give it a shot unless they can fix their pricing and portions.

Being a huge fan of the fast casual food concept I’ve been meaning to try Pita Pouch for a long time! Located in the Tyson’s Corner Mall food court, it’s a convenient and great place to grab a bite after doing some shopping. It’s similar to Cava Mezze Grill, a Mediterranean restaurant, which also provides a build-your-own-bowl assembly-line styled service. You start by selecting a base: sandwich(pita wrap) or bowl(served with pita on the side). Next, you choose a protein: chicken shawarma, steak shawarma, or falafel. The steak was decent, but the star of the bowl for me was definitely the falafel. It was so crispy, yummy, and plentiful(they give you SIX)! After that, you add sauces(tahini, salsa, harrissa) and toppings(cabbage, fried cauliflower, fried eggplant, feta, pickled cabbage, olives, etc.) and you’re done! It’s a little bit more expensive than the pricing at the Falls Church location, but it’s comparable to the prices of other mall food. In my opinion, Cava Mezze Grill offers more flavors, but Pita Pouch has greater portion sizes and I enjoy the overall texture of the ingredients more. The friendly service and tasty food make it a must-try if you’re in the area!
