I love their food; I like the roti chicken. I would have given five stars if they had more choices.

Love the food, service, menu and prices here. Great quality food for the price. I have zero complaints! Always a winner to eat here!

Surprisingly pretty good food. Better than chipotle. Everything was fresh. Very light and healthy. They cook up a fresh batch of meat for us. Will definitely come back for more

Quite mediocre. Cava wannabe, however it’s about 10x worse. Less ingredients than Cava and doesn’t taste nearly as good.

I have only been to this location, so my review is based on that fact. I really need to try another Roti because I feel like I would love it. But the two times I’ve order from this location, the chicken has been super, super dry and the service has been subpar. I enjoy the idea of Roti, but so far I have really disliked the food. Maybe one day I’ll get to another location that will be better.

Chipotle goes Mediterranean and calls itself Roti. While there’s no official affiliation, there’s definitely the influence. It’s a build your own bowl, pita, or salad place with all the usual offerings. In my opinion, Roti doesn’t necessarily do it any better or worse than the others, so no complaints there. You are limited to three sides, but fear not, portions are good sized and will leave you full. Can’t ask for a whole lot more than that in a fast casual setup.

Roti is a solid choice for fast casual dinning in the Tyson’s corner area. It is like Cava or Chipotle where you pick a vessel(rice bowl, sandwich or salad), protein and then toppings, but unlike either aforementioned chain, you are only allowed to pick 3 «sides» and there are only 3 toppings to chose from. You do end up with plenty of food, so that’s not the problem, but i would like to see you have the option of smaller amounts to be able to have more choices. If you ask for a little of something else you get a big scoop and get charged extra for it. Other than that, the staff was OK and the restaurant was clean. Tip: skip the fallafel-it’s really chunky and dry.

When I asked about gluten free pitas, the guy working behind the counter asked if it was for an allergy and when I said yes, he immediately went and changed his gloves to avoid cross contamination. Most places have no regard or no awareness of the effects these small things can have, but they were very considerate at Roti. The food was delicious and the prices were great, but the customer service really made the experience.

It’s just okay. What I mainly like about Roti is their nutrition value calculator on their website. This allows me to plan out a meal in advance, and stay within my desired caloric and sodium limit for a meal when ordering /eating. It’s a good treat to have while at the same time staying focused on weight management. That’s not to say that Roti is by any means healthy. It just has a calculator to help you know when to stop adding items. That said, it’s by no means mind blowing food either. It’s a Chipotle style conveyor belt with the twist of Mediterranean food instead of Mexican. The further downside to this is that there’s a Chipotle just two doors down. I’ve come here twice. The first time it was pretty good. It tasted fresh, and the lettuce on the salad was cold and crisp. The second time left a lot to be desired. The food was on the opposite spectrum, tasting old and soggy. Not only that, but the young lady making my food missed some of my selected items that I wanted. Though I’ve never personally had this problem, it appears that there is a limit on how many of the«toppings» you’re allowed to have. The person in front of me apparently reached this limit and was told that it would be fifty cents more for each additional item. All I can say to that is that I’ve never heard that at places like Chipotle, and people don’t like being nickle’d and dime’d. At this point, Roti is kind of falling off my radar. As I said at the start, it’s just okay, and as such, I don’t know that it’s really worth trekking out to in the long run. Especially not with all the readily available options around here.

Went on a Sunday evening. Got the«best plate ever». It was ok. I like a medley of colorful vegetables typically so the vegetable spread I saw seemed pretty good. Overall when I got my plate the food seemed a bit cold. Not sure what kind of hot water bath they are using under their containers, but it doesn’t seem hot enough to keep their food warm.

Loved this place– so yummy and healthy! Got the kabob chicken on a salad and it was delish. Hummus and pita was great too, but I wish they had warmed up the pita like they do at Cava. You could see the meat cooking behind so it was a cool experience. Will definitely be coming back.

Came here on a Saturday night 10 mins until closing. When I walked in, the man working said they were closed but then changed his mind and said I could come in. I ordered a rice plate with roti chicken, pickled cabbage slaw, couscous, and a tomato/cucumber salsa. I also ordered 2 sauces on the side: tzatziki and hot sauce. I love the taste of the hot sauce– not too spicy and tangy. The chicken is seasoned real well and not burnt. However, the portions are not much. I asked for extra rice and they charge. Chipotle and Cava does not charge for extra rice! Keep in mind it was 5 mins until closing too… When paying for my food, he just gave me the food with a top and no bag… Had to ask for one and I normally never have to when I say I’m «taking out.» 3 stars: small portion sizes and so-so service but great taste. I’ll come back but hopefully be better service next time I visit!

I love Roti. I had my first experience in Chicago a few years ago and couldn’t wait til it got to this area. It’s the Mediterranean version of Chipotle. This particular place has always been more hit than miss but I also have a Cava right next to me and for me it’s about convenience. Either way I enjoy going to Roti when I can.

No thanks, I’ll pass especially when Cava is right around the corner. I visited Roti about two weeks after it opened on a very cold night, so I was looking for something warm and delicious. I got neither at Roti. I ordered the falafel over rice. The falafel is disgusting. You bite down into it and it is yellowish, greenish mush. I am not okay with mush. For my sides, I ordered what looked like roasted vegetables and some of the tomato cucumber salad. So, the roasted vegetables are a cold salad? This does not make one bit of sense to me, cook the vegetables, chill them, and serve them… weird but okay. I also asked if I could get feta on top of my falafel and they told me it would cost extra. No, just no. After spending $ 10+ here on cold, gross food, it is safe to say that I will never return. The flavor is just not there nor is the freshness. Back to Cava I go.

I hate to give a place that actually serves good food at a reasonable price a poor rating but I must. I went in 40 minutes before closing on a weeknight to order a rice bowl. The staffer let me know that they were out of rice(REALLY!) and that I should order something else. I told her that I would wait while they made more rice. She rolled her eyes and told me that they were already cleaning the kitchen and wouldn’t be making any more… Rice is one of the major components of their 4 item menu btw… I asked for the manager’s card twice before I was given his contact info. I sent him an email and he replied with a form letter. He asked for another chance yada-yada and a weeks worth of free meals. I came in last night and showed the manager on duty my correspondence only to be refused a free anything and asked to leave. I have frequented Roti in downtown DC for 5 years. I love the concept and the quality. But this location doesn’t seem to care… The manager should be fired for failing to respond to a paying customer.

Lesson learned Roti… is a hit or miss place… if you come on a not so busy time they may actually cater to your order… if they are swamped they panic and chaos ensues. It could also be… because they opened a few months ago and still are working out think kinks. the set up is similar to chipotle… fast casual you point at what you want. It makes it difficult when your not sure if you can get more or less things. As someone who loves variety I don’t like to be limited with sides or topping especially if it’s my first time at an establishment. Now at chipotle I can tell you I want everything. Partially because I know your going to tell me everything you put on. Here at roti they assume I know everything there. Well because I don’t know what I can’t put on it would help to offer suggestions? And tell me what I can put on my plate. I wasn’t even offered toppings I didn’t even know the difference between sides and toppings because there is no separation. I felt rushed because no one told me how their menu works it’s kind of just assumed. Food wise… I ordered the 3 plate meal… I got half falafel and half chicken which is 2 falafel balls and a tiny scoop of chicken… wow skimp much? Anyway both were decently flavored might also have been because the lady just doused them with spicy garlic and tzaziki sauce. But the texture on the chicken was good it had a nice char to it but was still a bit moist. Falafel had a good crunch but lacked flavor inside without the sauce. The rice was okay nothing special really just a decent accompaniment to the proteins. The couscous was plain hardly seasoned raisins were a decent touch but nothing special. The cabbage was slightly pickled? Either way again lacked seasoning. The tomato cucumber salad was fresh but not very much seasoning either but it did round out the dish as a whole. The pita bread was actually pretty good freshly made I believe it wasn’t overly dense which was good. Overall…roti is the upscale version of a cava grill but instead of dip you get sides. After 2 failed attempts to eat at different locations and finally eating here… I’m slightly underwhelmed. If I return to roti it would be for a pita sandwich or a wrap. Either way roti you have failed again to impress me.

This is OBVIOUSLY following in the footsteps of CAVA Mezze. The Mediterranean version of Chipotle. I didn’t know it until I walked into the place. I happen to be around there for Best Buy(located in the same plaza) and it was close to lunchtime. I was hungry. I had a salad with Falafels & sides, sauces etc. Very good and tasty. Have to say that some of it has to do with the person throwing all the stuff together into the bowl for you. I loved Cava the first time, for instance, but then later went to a different location and felt that it wasn’t as good. Too much of some things over others. All the components need to be somewhat balanced. Today at Roti was perfect. The main differences I observed were: 1. Cava has a couple of yummy in-house made herbal tea options at the drinks fountain. Roti had Honest Tea — not in-house. 2. Cava definitely has a strong eco-friendly image with all the recycling, porcelain & steel silver wares, organic ingredients etc. There was very little of that going on at Roti. Overall the food was solid and healthy.

Damn good food. Healthy. Consistent. Small menu, which is perfect; keep it simple with high quality. So many local restaurants need to learn that lesson. When you try to be all things to all people, quality goes down. One of the dishes has a great spicy kick. Hopefully they will not dumb down the flavor and become just another local place with super bland food. Oops – I gotta shake off that negativity. :) Next door to Chick-fil-A. This place makes Chick-fil-A taste like greasy cat food, not to mention you get to sidestep the issue of Chick-fil-A’s American Taliban politics and sundry bigotry. :)

Finally got to stop into Roti for their grand opening and it was worth the wait! I got a chicken kebob salad and it was delicious. Their hummus is perfect and the chicken was flavored very well along with all the veggies etc I got on top. Everyone was friendly and the inside is so nice! They even asked if I had a Gluten allergy when I got to the front of the line. It was nice to know they understood my allergy and I didn’t even have to tell them what steps to take(and they have gluten free pita!!!) So refreshing. I work right around the corner so I know this will be a new staple in my weekly lunch routine. So excited to have a Roti in the area! Keep up the good work!
