First time we’ve ever eaten at Slim Chickens. We loved it. Surprisingly better than Raising Cane’s and we go there often. The chicken basket was very filling. The chicken and waffles were amazing. Very flavorful chicken strips. The food was fresh even though we came in late. Friendly staff. Great price. We will be back.

Frozen chicken garbage. Rubbery, commercially frozen, shipped all over the country chicken. This is not a restaurant. Go out of business. (points finger and Slim Pickens disappears).

I ordered chicken and waffles, since I had never had it before. The food was at our table within 5 minutes. Texas — shaped waffle was very rich and good. Chicken tenders on top of waffle were another story. They tasted like frozen, rubbery chicken tenders.
There are restaurants within a stone’s throw that do chicken much better and they don’t even have «chicken» in the name. Unless they change their source, or prep methods, they will nit be here long.

I did not care for the chicken at all. No seasoning whatsoever. I need flavor!!! The sauces were nothing special either.

This place is amazing!!! I would recommend it to anyone! The chicken at first really did seem slim, but then I took a bite and it was awesome! The sauce is some of the best sauce I’ve ever had. It was the mild kind to and it was actually mild. The service was amazing, and the place itself is very clean and nice! Next time I’m in Tyler I’m coming back to this place!

I enjoy eating at Slim Chickens. The food is alway fresh and the employees are so polite. I enjoyed the grilled chicken buffalo salad tidy and will be back for it again. A must stop when in Tyler and looking for great food fast

I have eaten here about five times. Love the grilled chicken. Nice staff. Waited a while in the drive thru for an order last time, but I’ll be back. Clean inside and out. Like the menu like the options.

Meh. The chicken was hot and juicy but had no flavor. I want chicken that doesn’t depend on sauces for taste. I made a mistake and ordered gravy for a sauce — definitely from a package. The cayenne ranch sauce was better but watery. The fries were okay– better than the chicken for sure.
It wasn’t awful but it wasn’t good either. Not worth a return trip.

If you have ever been to raisin canes and said things like I wish they had more dipping sauces or sold more than just chicken tenders then Slim Chickens is the place for you. Basically a raisin canes but better.

Tylerites have an amazing ability to shake the foundations of a new eatery in town, Slim handled it well. Friendly staff, good food, ultra clean environment. Wings are a bit over sauced but that’s relative. My advice is make your own opinion.

Wasn’t bad but I shared a pic of the super tiny wings and strips I received through the drive thur that I paid over $ 10 for really sad. This was my first drive through experience and apparently they save the decent sized strips for the dine in customers

Chicken and waffles is a favorite and the hot wings are as good as any around. This place has quickly became a staple in our teenage daughters’ diets. Having the option to get grilled chicken strips is important with a house full of women who are conscious of nutrition but picky. Location is a huge plus since we live south of Tyler

For a fast food joint this place was great! I’ve had the grilled chicken buffalo wrap, chicken salad and tenders which were all great. Mac and cheese was also fantastic as another reviewer said. The fiancé absolutely loves it so we go quite often!

I opted for something semi-​healthy and went with the buffalo chicken salad. Glad I didn’t add any dressing, as the salad was very «wet» from the blue cheese and wing sauce. Speaking of wing sauce, the first bite was good but quickly turned very salty.
I tried the wife’s chicken strips. The were dripping with grease. Same thing with the fried pickles.
Guess I don’t get all the hype about this place. Is it simply the novelty of it being new? Chick Fil-​A has better chicken sans the grease.
I’ll give this place another shot. Perhaps when I’m suffering from a hangover and in need of some grease.

this place was surprisingly great. it had great customer service. great quality food. and overall a great environment. this place almost reminds me like a raising canes but about a step above quality wise but same price wise. I can’t wait to come back to the place and try the chicken and waffles! the tenders was amazing. And the Mac and cheese was the greatest I had since. Well ever!
