Etmc 24 Hour Emergency Center

Go to a real ER unless you have plenty of time to waste.
I came in for a back injury and numbness. It took 45 mins to get checked in, 2 hours for vitals and I think it was 2 more before I saw the 1 DR they had on duty.
It seemed like there is no triage performed as people would come in with a cough and people with obvious fractures were still waiting. It seems more like 1^st come 1^st serve. I was just glad nothing was fractured or out of place in my SPINAL COLUMN making me paralyzed.
The lady at the front desk seemed like everything was a chore and is about as friendly as a drill sergeant. It seems like everything they do takes longer than anywhere else I have been. Hire a CNA or LPN to do your vitals and free up the RN to help people.
One good thing I will say is that they do have TVs in each exam room. The Xray tech was very pleasant and made the X-​rays go by quick and got it done right the first time.

the emergency center is mostly like other emergency centers… the times i’ve been there it still took a long time, but these people were friendlier and more helpful than other emergency centers i’ve been to.

I first encountered the ETMC 24HR Emergency Center just after moving to Tyler. I got really sick, and didn’t have a doctor here. After a quick call to my California-​based insurance to find out my options, a neighbor directed me to this clinic, and I was very impressed.
Due to my job hours, I’ve been there several times since, and I can say that they are efficient, kind, and professional. I’ve never had to wait more than 20 or 30 minutes at the most (I have waited 3 – 4 hrs in San Diego Urgent Care centers, and 7 hrs in ERs).
The only downside to this place is that its on Broadway… way too much traffic… but that makes it very convenient for most of Tyler.
