I love sushi. AYCE sushi? Even better. I came here for a friend’s birthday and although the wait is somewhat long(I think we ended up waiting for an hour on a weekend night?) it is totally worth it. They have so many rolls to offer and there is not limit to how many rounds you have(my friend mentioned that at other places they limit you to three rounds). I wouldn’t say they’re the most sophisticated rolls, but they are for sure the most unique I’ve ever seen at a sushi place LOL. Our last round, we had at least 3 different rolls, all deep fried. It was good the first few rounds, but it became way too much after a while…(Note for you guys: never get a whole round of deep fried rolls… there IS such a thing about too much deep frying). But other than that, it was such a good experience Our waiter was very funny and attentive to us. And they even offer a small ice cream sandwich(in the shape of a fish!) for birthdays. It’s a bit on the pricier side but I mean cmon… it’s AYCE sushi.

AYCE sushi was amazing. There are a lot of different types of rolls and appetizers. They also give minimal rice with the raw fish sushi which I really appreciated. The food came out fast and nobody went home unsatisfied. My party had a birthday so we requested the special birthday song to be played– the birthday song is an interesting experience be sure to ask for it. The place also gave us a free Korean fish bread ice cream for the birthday which is something I assume they recently just started doing. While I might not eat sushi for a while after eating so much of it, I will for sure be back here for AYCE.

I have to admit that this restaurant has a cute theme going on. This place had a lot of employees(which is awesome because you’ll get fast and consistent service). Unfortunately, The food here is only okay. I will state a rating of the foods In my opinion, with 5 being best I’ve tasted: –oysters 2⁄5(should have an option for no hot sauce & onions…) –crawfish roll 5⁄5 –green tea ice cream 4⁄5 –salmon sashimi 4.5÷5 –squid 5⁄5 –rice 2⁄5 Then again, it’s an AYCE location. I’ve never been to an AYCE location with 5⁄5 everything… So this place is not so disappointing. They have cucumbers in their water, which is pretty cool & you do have to pay for the things you do not finish(AYCE). Another down side for this place is that the rice is very, very disappointing. My party had notified an employee regarding how we weren’t satisfied with a role we had ordered, which had extremely soggy(mushy gushy) rice, but she never came back for a conclusion…(which may be a factor because the place was extremely busy).

Honestly, All-You-Can-Eat anything will always have food that is of subpar to standard quality. Sake 2 Me isn’t anything special or out of the ordinary, but hey, when it’s Lent and you’re starving with a need for a quick go-to that has no meat, this place does its job when you can’t have Korean BBQ. Don’t expect the best sushi in the world from this place, but you will definitely be full by the end of round 1 or 2. Be warned, if it’s Lenten season and you come on a Friday, expect to wait around 1 – 2 hours for a table! 1 star for taste, 1.5 stars for service = 2.5÷5(I rounded up since I never had a bad experience here). It’s always a good time when you’re with a big group of friends! For dinner, I paid around $ 25.87(incl. tax). You’re only able to order for 3 rounds, but you can order as much as you want during each one. My friends and I like to order nearly two of everything on the menu(LOL) when we go. Here’s a few suggestions on what’s good if you’re not a raw fish eater like me(I won’t trust it unless I’m eating super fresh sashimi). Appetizer: –popcorn shrimp: Deep fried, panko crusted shrimp tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce –vegetable tempura –sunomono: It’s … too sour for my taste, but refreshing after a bite of any of the baked rolls –agedashi tofu: goes really good with any of the rolls! –salmon toro: this is fried over a bed of onions, and it’s really good and fatty salmon belly Sushi: –seared pepper salmon Cut Rolls: –salmon skin –spider –cajun popcorn –shrimp tempura –volcano I’m kind of basic when it comes to cheap sushi. LOL. From the appearance of the sushi here, I know it’s not the best quality so I won’t really touch the raw fish, but hey, the cut rolls are really good and creative. My favorite cut roll is the cajun popcorn roll since it’s baked and comes topped with crawfish and masago. The only sushi I’ll ever eat is the seared pepper salmon. Usually, the salmon nigiri here is sliced so thickly, I hate the texture of a full slab of salmon in my mouth, but the seared pepper salmon has a nice, smoky flavor to it and is sliced thinly enough to enjoy. At the end of your meal, you can enjoy a free green tea or plum ice cream. I wouldn’t recommend the plum ice cream though. taste like cough syrup + pepto bismol. Service is usually good and quick. Overall, this place is just a good go-to to satisfy any sushi cravings when you’re desperate and willing to forego quality over quantity! ***Note, sometimes, your dining experience may be slightly ruined by the obnoxious music they play whenever there’s a birthday. They’ll blast some hardcore dubstep followed by a melodious, happy birthday ballad… the most peculiar combination I’ve ever heard, but whatever.***

** 3.5 stars, rounded up for value! ** $ 23.95 for AYCE dinner and $ 19.95 for lunch? Count me in! This price is cheaper than the new Sake 2 Me in Cerritos, and Tustin also has a bigger selection as of now. As with most AYCE places, we went a little crazy with the ordering, and I usually don’t get time to process what exactly I’m eating before shoveling it into my mouth. In general, the sushi was decent. I really enjoyed the salmon collar, and we were going to order a different kind of fish collar but they were already out. It’s fatty and oh so good, as was the salmon belly. I guess I just really like salmon because the salmon nigiri was a winner as well. Other standouts to me were: the Roly-Poly roll, Eel nigiri, and Tustin Blossom. Rice to fish ratio was very good on the nigiri. What was not so good? Didn’t enjoy the Tuna nigiri, a couple of the«baked» rolls that ended up being cold, and the hard and dry chicken cutlet. There were also several other rolls that passed through my digestive tract without really being registered… they were okay, but nothing to get excited about. Service was erratic to say the least. There was a huge time gap where we were not getting any of our rolls during the 1st round, but during the 2nd round they could not stop coming. However, the waiters were super nice and apologetic, and continually refilled our drinks. I can’t really blame them for being busy, but they also forgot a few plates we ordered. After we ordered more than we could handle on the 2nd round, I didn’t mind much. Protip: do not over order… especially not the nigiri. Apparently eating too many slices of raw fish makes it taste nasty, who knew! There are 3 rounds, so don’t get greedy like we did. Some nice touches: if there is a birthday, they will shut the lights off and«Happy Birthday» bumps through the speakers with some disco flair. Also, complimentary green tea ice cream comes with the check. Even if I polish off five pounds of sushi, I will still have room for ice cream! You definitely should not come here for quality, but if you are looking to shovel okay sushi into your mouth with reckless abandon, you’ve found your place. Food: 3, Service: 3, Environment: 4, Price: 5

First time trying AYCE sushi and let me tell you, I am quite the fan! Lunch: $ 19.95 Dinner: 23.95 Great selection of appetizers, nigiri, cut rolls, specialty rolls, and hand rolls. We definitely ordered way too much for our first round that we called it quits after round 2. The nigiri is really the best way to go. For AYCE, I was fairly surprised at how fresh the fish tasted. And! The cut seemed really thin, but is actually a pretty meaty size for nigiri. Must try: — Grilled octopus appetizer — Unagi Nigiri(my fave!) — Tustin Blossom roll — Volcano roll I didn’t realize how popular this spot was. It took our party of 4 about an hour to get a table. Although, once we got seated, we immediately got serviced and the food was prepared rather quickly as well. With the restaurant being so busy, it was very loud inside as well. It didn’t help that they blasted EDM, turned off the lights and put on strobe lights for what seemed like every 5 mins. Overall, I’m really happy with my experience. The fresh food, quick service and great price for AYCE sushi was definitely worth the hour wait to get a table.

First time going there today and let’s just say that I will definitely be back! They have a great menu, the sushi was super fresh, the staff was very friendly and courteous and the pricing is not bad. Went with my fiancée and it was only $ 65…and that included all you can for both of us, our drinks and even beer. Besides me going back there I will definitely recommend this place to my friends. Just a note, they do charge for leftovers so just order what you know you will eat. They mostly do this to avoid wasting food.

Fast and good service. If you’re gonna come here for the AYCE, order the nigiri rolls. The cut rolls have a bigger rice ratio compared to the fish. The rice is just gonna be a filler and get you full quickly. Same with the hand rolls. The nigiri has a huge fish portion compared to rice!!! That’s why I really like coming here for AYCE. There’s a lot of variety you can choose from. Highly recommend the roly poly roll — salmon stuffed with crab meat topped with Sriracha sauce. Lunch $ 19.95 per person Dinner $ 23.95 per person

Monday night at 7:30pm. My family and I decided to go to an ayce sushi restaurant and was recommended to eat here. Reading previous reviews we expected a long wait — which was an hour for us because we had a stroller for a baby… we were a little pissed but the one of the waiters apologized. After ordering, food arrived within 15 or so minutes, which was understandable bc it was a full house! BYTHEWAY the waiter that served us was really cute so points for that LOL just kidding. THESUSHIISSOGOOD, 5 stars for the food! If you’re into spicy rolls I would recommend the 911 roll(I believe it was spicy tuna based), it was amazing! Caterpillar roll, crunch roll, mango tango, and dynamite roll were also very good. I took two star off because our waiter, though he was really cute, didn’t put our order in for our second round of sushi before his shift was over. So we were waiting for about 20 minutes before we flagged down the waiter that apologized for the wait. He apologized again for the wait and put our order in quickly. Later, he returned and told us he would give us 4 free ice cream macarons(3.50 each) as an apology, which made me give back one star for this review. All in all, wait is bad if you have more than 4 people, service is okay but forgivable, and food is absolutely amazing!

My friends and I had a post-hike, Valentine’s Day lunch recently to refuel(protein it up)! The dinner and all-day Sunday price is $ 23.95/person for all-you can eat, which has a pretty good selection of cut, hand, and specialty rolls, as well as nigiri and various appetizers. Things I highly recommend(especially anything with salmon): — Nigiri: salmon, scallops, albacore, freshwater eel(unagi) and sweet shrimp(amaebi) are worth getting! The surf clam and squid are kind of chewy/hard compared to other places. The rice to fish ratio is great — a small amount of rice and more of the sushi/fish! — Roly Poly Special Roll: salmon stuffed with crab meat with some sriracha on top. This roll was sooooo good and I highly recommend multiple orders if you’re with a large group and on that low-carb fix — Appetizers: gyoza and tempura were very crispy, and I would recommend getting the mixed sashimi salad This place gets really busy, where the wait staff are running around all over the place trying to handle all the orders. One of the waiters even dropped a few plates of sushi because of they bumped into each other, and plenty of orders are forgotten, which frustrated both customers and staff. One of the waiters even told us that there’s too many tables and they can’t just help us. That’s understandable, but clearly it shows how understaffed and disorganized this place is. Overall, this is a pretty solid place with good cuts of fish at an average price and I would come back for lunch or an early weeknight to avoid the crowds.

This place was alright, nothing special. The chef kept missing items marked off on our sheet and because items were coming out so slow things were getting messed up with the next round of ordering. I thought some of the dishes tasted really weird and the description was deceiving once the item came out. We had left over sushi but because they were closing and trying to push us out they didn’t charge us which was full cause I couldn’t eat the left overs anymore. It tastes really nasty. I love sushi so I’ll always enjoy my dinner but I’m sure I’ll go to another place for ayce sushi next time.

AWESOMEDEAL! My friend and I came here for lunch on Friday and we ordered over $ 100 worth of sushi and only paid $ 25 each(including tip). There is a large variety of food to choose from though I’d say most of their menu is comprised of raw fish. This place is really good if you want to try many different types of food. Personally, I ordered many items that I’m usually too cheap to order at a normal sushi restaurant(i.e. Uni, scallops, heaps of salmon sashimi, fish roe) The sushi is good quality for the price you pay. I would definitely come back, though not for a while because I at so much sushi to sustain my sushi cravings for at least a month and a half.

+ AYCE sushi, pretty good. + Service was good — They were understaffed both times I came here I’m going to start off with this. If you come here, write your name down, peek through the window and see empty seats while you’re waiting outside with other people waiting too– Do not be surprised. I’m guessing it’s the norm here, has happened both times I was here. There could be different answers to it all, but I’m guessing they’re just understaffed. Each time I’ve come here, the service has been good to me though. Refills and food, both done in a timely manner. I’ve never sat here waiting where our order went. If they could just fix the empty tables, with 20 people waiting outside. that’d be great. The sushi. I’d say it’s good. Usually AYCE sushi spots, they stuff their rolls with rice and you’re filled up off of rice. But this place has a decent ratio. I wouldn’t come back here though unless a friend invited or I was forced to. I feel like there are other better options than here. Overall, hit or miss on what type of experience you’ll get here. :)

So after waiting a hour and a half we finally got seated. I cant believe how busy this place was. Honestly they really need to move to another location. One thing I don’t understand is no matter how high you are on the list, they will pass you up to sit larger tables. They did this to us twice. Kinda rude honestly. We haven’t been to a AYCE Sushi spot in a while so we were craving everything on the menu. We just about ordered everything on the menu to. I kinda sat back and let my wife and son order everything so I cant remember everything we had. I know I had two orders of Rolly Polly and they were outstanding. She ordered Yellow tail, salmon, black pepper salmon, 2 hot nights, and on and on. Everything she ordered we ended up ordering again. My son ordered a caterpillar roll, 2 crunchy philly rolls, and cant remember the rest. Everything was delicious. I guess we got lucky and had no issue with our waitresses. I see theres a few bad reviews on staff. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful. I forgot to order muscles, we love them. We had a great filling dinner. I highly recommend trying this place if youre in the area, just have patience and sign into the seating list.

You still got it after a year, and even better improvement! Service was x10 better and the food came out quick, our empty plates disappeared quickly. We came at 6:30PM with a table of 3 and got seated about 45 mins on a Friday. Shout out to VV our waitress, she was great. She sat people and handled tables at the same time. The fish to rice ratio is about 3 fish and a small ball of rice. Definitively a selling point when I look for AYCE sushi places. The best part, they have sweet shrimp now! It says limited but since it was so packed they gave us extra! :) Seared salmon is highly recommended.

So I said wasn’t going to come back, but I came back with my cousin and we ordered more sushi/sashimi this time instead of rolls. It was much better. This time they didn’t give any appetizers that were waiting on the table. The food is ok. It is not the best of the best. They are so busy in there that some of the food comes out a bit cold/warm, not as hot as I would like. I did eat a lot of the squid and unagi. Don’t expect too much and you won’t be disappointed.

Sorry for those who had a bad experience because you probably just had some bad luck that day. Our server and the service was great. Our party wasn’t all here yet but the server told us the wait time is going to get longer and longer so he seated us at a table for 8 and let us wait there for our party. Not that many big parties come in to eat but their tables are re-arrangeable. APPETIZERS: they offer a lot of options for AYCE including sashimi salad, gyoza, calamari rings, and tempura. The calamari rings looked like onion rings but they were pretty good! I recommend getting eel sauce to dip appetizers in. I tried he dynamite(photo included) but I had to share it with others because he portion was so big! ROLLS: the baked rolls here are so yummy that I stray away from fresh cut rolls. The dynamite roll and baked crawfish roll is to die for. The rolly Polly roll was new to me, i enjoyed eating just salmon with crabmeat because sometimes rice is too filling for me.(Not a rice person). Some of the deep fried rolls are very doughy. FISH: they have nothing to hide about the quality of fish since their ratio of fish to rice has a generous amount of fish. The fish was fresh and slightly melts in your mouth which is what I like. I definitely go for the fish instead of the fresh rolls so I can get more for what I pay for. EXTRAS: they have birthday music but it’s wayy too outrageous to want to be heard again and again. It starts off with the lights dimming and dance lights flashing with techno music, and THEN the birthday song. My party heard it the first time and it also happened to be my friends birthday one night so we asked one of the older servers to play it… She had a distressed look on her face and said, «again… You mean now? Or later?» And she stressed that we should do it later and she was like«okay okay» in relief. Well it’s not our fault that your birthday acknowledgements are that loud? Is this the only reason why they have flashing lights installed in the restaurant? For birthdays? This is the AYCE sushi place that most of my friends in the area always go to. There is no other AYCE sushi joint as popular as sake2me!

I think most people come here for their AYCE sushi option. It was exactly what my friends and I did when we visited SoCal. There was a small wait(for a party of 6) on a Saturday night during the Labor Day weekend at around 6pm to 7pm. There was an even longer wait when we left at around 8:30pm. Since one of our friends didn’t really want to do the AYCE, the staff took her order separately and still let her sat at the same table as us. My friends and I pretty much went HAM on mostly the nigiri. They aren’t really nigiri, but more like sashimi because they give you so little rice, which is the nicest thing any AYCE sushi restaurants can do! They made things so much easier for us and we could eat so much more because I was pretty much just eating sashimi. The rolls were also pretty light and small, so that helped us a lot, too. For the price and quality, this place is definitely a must-go! Overall, I highly recommend for all you sushi lovers! This is the place to go to get your money’s worth! I really love how generous they are in terms of the minimal rice they give you. The sushi is of pretty decent quality(it also depends on the cuts they receive that day, too, I think). The price isn’t too bad for AYCE($ 24 per person not including tips and tax). The staff are accommodating. Definitely worth the wait and money!

If you want top notch quality sushi, AYCE is not the way to go. But as far as for AYCE standards, Sake 2 Me is amaaazing! First, let’s talk about that fish to rice ratio! They give you very small portions of rice but such long pieces of fish that you can literally wrap the the piece of fish around the rice and make a sushi sandwich! Awesome because you can enjoy more sushi and not get so full off of the filler rice. :) I love salmon and all of their salmon dishes. I think between a party of 4 yesterday we ate around 30 pieces of salmon nigiri sushi along with many of their other salmon cut rolls and other things. I love their nigiri sushi waay better than the cut rolls that they have, although the cut rolls we tried weren’t bad. But don’t waste your time and money on too many hand and cut rolls, especially when their nigiri sushi is soo good. When getting nigiri sushi, my favorites(besides the salmon) were yellowtail, albacore, and eel/unagi. For appetizers, we enjoyed their gyoza, miso soup, and octopus. Tasty but again, don’t waste too much time ordering appetizers when you need to save room for as much sushi as possible! Their salad was very generic iceberg lettuce mixed with some orange dressing that wasn’t too impressive and I probably wouldn’t order it again. Last but not least, the sake tastes pretty good here too. I mean you can’t go to a place called Sake 2 Me and not order some sake. But it’s tasty unlike places like gyu kaku where it tastes like rubbing alcohol. They also have some good deals on their beer, and drinks aren’t priced badly so you feel okay ordering some even when you missed happy hour. Fun place to enjoy ayce sushi or someone’s birthday since they turn off all the lights and play club-like music with flashing lights to celebrate anyone’s special day.
