Food is delicious hands down but the service needs tons of work. They have been hiring for a few months. Don’t know if it shows as a desirable place of work. Maybe it’s due to management. I was attended very promptly and the cashier was rushed by another person in the back without even being able to focus on myself as a customer while I ordered. I come here often because the food is great but it’s always a surprise with a service. Expect about 10 minutes to get your food. I recommend calling ahead.

Went here for lunch and ordered the beef bowl. The beef bowl consisted of rice, noodles, beef, and veggies. The portion size was pretty decent for lunch. It cost roughly $ 7 bucks, so it wasn’t too bad. The customer service was for the most part pretty good. The person who took our order was friendly and attentive. You order first and they will bring your food out. There’s a good amount of seating so you should be able to find a spot even when it’s crowded. The only thing is the booths and tables were sticky, therefore cleanliness is an issue. Overall, a good spot if you want reasonably priced food that is quick and simple.

I’ve always had a great experience eating from here. The food that I’ve tried is delicious. I’ve had mostly their spicy chicken and fried fish items, but they’re always great! Adam is super helpful with his input and knows how to treat his customers. A favorite of mine for sure.

Just terrible. Worst food we have ever had. I had the oxtail soup. Absolutely no taste and very little oxtail. My wife had the spicy pork with glass noodles salad. Just terrible as well. We actually left the food 90% uneaten which we have never done before. I do not understand how they stay in business. Owner just shrugged shoulders when we tried to tell him.

Our family loves this place! Great food and service! Love this island vibes! We had them cater a party and everyone raves about all the food! Reasonable and a must try!

Excellent shave ice which is mainly what we have had. We tried the chicken Katsu and it was very good. We will come back and you should come too! Aloha!

Decent Hawaiian bbq place. Ordered: Combo Moco and 3-items combo Combo Moco: delicious. the beef steak was flavorful and so are the spam and sausages. the spam and sausages could have been thicker. Too much rice. 3-items combo: meh… i got the grilled chicken, kalbi rib, and mochiko chicken. the grilled chicken is okay, some part was burnt. the kalbi rib was good. The mochiko chicken was dried and tasted burnt. The noodle was good but the macaroni had too much mayo.

This rating is for the lack of concern I received from the woman who took my order tonight. I’ve ordered from this place several times and have always been impressed by the portion size which is part of the reason I frequently come here. Tonight, as usual, I ordered a 2 meat meal. Normally I split half and have a small portion left over. I always split the same amount because I’m weigh my food before consuming. However tonight it was slightly less than normal. That’s not a big deal but I did call the restaurant and told them of my experience. All I got was a sorry and thanks for calling. I didn’t expect a free meal exactly but at least take my name down and offer me a free drink!

The service here is okay, I felt that the employee could have had more enthusiasm or created a stronger customer relationship, but at the same time the cashier was very friendly when helping me choose what I wanted to eat as I havenever been here before. Although, this restaurant does serve one of the best hawaiin food dishes that I have ever eaten. The musubi was cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. Great place to eat and I do intend on returning.

bad hawaiian food, what a disappointment 2 musubis and a side order of mac/potato salad $ 9 wow is hawaiian fast food expensive and just not good food The musubi’s are seriously seaweed filllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllled with rice a small sliver of spam and some i think soy sauce on the spam. The macaroni/potato salad, is closer to potato salad and not really reminescent of macaroni salad to me, i just tossed that out. Will not be back to try any of their meat dishes, the restaurant was dead at about 7pm with a few people, but dark as ever inside one server/cashier, and well for the variety of options offered i think they should stick to the classics and work to perfect it… Portions/value/taste, not a concern here…

My wife catered my birthday from here and everyone thought the food was amazing. The chicken and spicy pork were delicious and mac salad was great and it was pretty great value. I’d say if you want to cater something I give this place a nice hard look.

Oh my… I use to love this place in San Pedro, this one no no no. I order through poshmates. One katsu and one beef. The white rice was so hard I hurt my tooth, the beef was burned to tons of charcoal pieces and the katsu looked like mold was in it. 23.00 dollars and it ended up all in the trash. Yuck

When it comes to getting your Hawaiian food fix, Ono Ono does the job. It’s the typical rich, flavorful, and many would say salty type of food people crave for. The serving sizes are just right. All the meats are flavored well. The fish is on the more bland side but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. My favorite side dish is the coleslaw. We are regulars here not just because o the convenience but also to support a local business. The manager, Adam makes it point to be friendly and tries to remember faces and names of you go often.

We ordered for take out on the way home and expected the large servings of food per combo plate, but felt like the quality and quantity was lacking. My mom and I were unhappy that we paid $ 20.95 for the meal and we didn’t even check the food until we got home, which was 20 minutes away. The 2-item combo($ 8.66) came with BBQ beef and grilled mahi mahi with green salad and rice. The 3-item combo a.k.a. the Ono plate($ 9.95) came with chicken katsu, kalbi rib, and BBQ spicy pork. The BBQ beef was super burnt and the chicken katsu was dry. The rest of the food was just O.K. and nothing to rave about. We are used to huge portions from other hawaiian bbq places, so we will probably stick to our usual locations. The customer service was good and personable, but we probably won’t go out of our way to this location again.

This isn’t my favorite place, but for some reason my boss LOVES it. They do have good customer service and have never messed our order up. I just don’t think I’m into the whole Hawaiian food thing. I do have to admit the mac salad, fries, and ahi poke are very good. I’d get those items again. Everything else is too salty for my taste.(And the long black noodles are creepy looking)

You know the expectations are quick, cheap and greasy For your hole in the wall, hawaiian place This is so much better! Great Hawaiian music , ambiance a cut above And long rice noodles! Heaven — and the main dish is crispy and slightly charred, just like you would do at a beach side grill If they had an imu and flaming poi ball dancers it couldn’t get any more authentic ! Portions are healthy and excellent

We are 1st timers…& were a rough crowd. If there aren’t people waiting outside… We drive on. There was a group hanging outside, I got dropped of to «Sign my name in» being a Saturday @6:30 we thought huh, maybe, and what to my surprise… A handful of Locals… Kind 4Generation all ages… Then I asked one of them… Poke Bowl… Immediately I jumped on it, I’m a Sushi Gurl, I tried to order the Lettuce Wraps ASWELL, but the guy said… Wait, you’ll see… Hubby ordered a Pork Chicken combo BBQ(Mac/potato) salad Fab! Staff was like your Cousin… Engaging delightful & Music was Great & Upbeat. Food was Hot & my Poke Bowl FANTASTIC! It looks So elegant & Expensive from outside… But we left with«Shave ice» $ 20+ish for two including drinks :) I’m going Baaaaaaaaacckkkk!!!

Tried this place out with my brother and I have to say that this is one of the lower tier Hawaiian food places I have been to(and I’ve been to a bunch lol). I ordered the BBQ beef and the meat I got was pretty chewy and tough. Cutting the beef was hard and biting it took a while. I also didn’t get that much beef so paying about $ 8 felt like a rip off. Most times I would have lots of leftovers, but I was still pretty hungry after this meal. The potato salad didn’t have much flavor which was disappointing because I love that stuff! It felt like I was just eating creamy, bland mush. The grill veggies came with celery which wasn’t fully cooked so there was a bit of bitterness with each bite. The chicken katsu was decent, but I’ve had much better. The batter was lacking in crunchiness and flavor. The good part is that the meat was juicy, but they didn’t give that many chicken pieces. Overall, this experience was not good and I would not recommend coming here if you want quality and quantity Hawaiian food. Check out Maui Hawaiian BBQ for nice service along with good food!

This review is strictly for their poke. I have not tried their bbq chicken, and may go there one day to try their cooked food. I was in the area and decided to drop by. After trying their poke once, I can say, just say«No to Ono!» Ono Ono Hawaiian BBQ is not the place to go for poke. Their poke consists of maybe 8 pieces of tuna in a salad on top of a bed of rice. The tuna had no flavor. The salad was wilted lettuce because the hot rice that the lettuce was sitting on cooked it. Not good! If you want good poke, go somewhere else. One day, I will be back to try their chicken. That’s what it looked like everyone else ordered. But, as for their poke… NOOOooooooooooo…

I feel bad for this location because it was very empty when I arrived and I’ve heard from others that it is empty when they come too. I came here upon recommendation from friends/family because of the unique combos you can get here. The place is clean, and the menu pretty simple to read. If you’re familiar with hawaiian bbq plate lunch places, all the usual items are there such as spam musubi, chicken katsu, loco moco, mac salad, etc. But there are a couple nice variety items you can get. Instead of a standard loco moco, you can get a combo moco which gives you additional meat. Standard would be rice, hamburger patty, sunny side up egg, gravy. But with the combo you also get a piece of spam and Portuguese sausage with it. I wish they gave you 2 pieces of spam and more than 1 piece of sausage but I guess I can’t complain because this is the only place where I’ve seen you can even get a Combo Moco. The other item I tried was making my own 3 item combo. I think you can do this at other places, normally 2 items, but 3 was nice. I liked the taste of the Kalua Pork and Chicken Katsu. I wasn’t a fan of their mochiko chicken, that’s a dish that’s hard to get right, it requires the right batter and frying. The portions are large and I took leftovers home. You also get a free soup with your order so that’s another thing I have never seen before. Service was nice, price was about the same as you’d expect from Hawaiian Plate Lunch places. Come and try the different things here, it may not be the best ever, but the choices are fun to play around with. Oh also, the mac salad isn’t your traditional one, I dont like this one as much.
