I usually don’t give a business less that three stars… But my experience at TL was worth only a star. The lady on the phone was very rude when I called to push back my appointment time because I got in a car accident and was running late. When I told the girl what I wanted done to my hair, I showed her a picture and she hardly glanced at it! She was real short with me and didn’t really give me a chance to explain. I wanted a neutral blonde root touch up since I’m platinum already and she insisted on doing a «root bump» which NEVER works for me. All it did was turn my hair brassy and golden… It looked really bad with the cool platinum I had all over. I was pretty upset. Not to mention I was at the salon for three hours…

Always a long wait, way overpriced. The people are never that friendly. I’ve been here about three times and I’m never going back. I’ve also had several friends that have worked here. They are very underpaid for such an expensive place. Filled with lots of drama and childish behavior. You couldn’t pay me to return to this place.

The cut for the cost does not match up. Every time I’ve made appointments, the woman who I’ve spoken to, Kathy, does not let me finish a sentence — she cuts me off and the entire time sounds put out to be dealing with a customer. As for their waxes, I’ve had my upper lip done here a few times, and only once have they applied the numbing cream before and the cooling cream afterwards. This place is just a mess. If the prices were cut in half I’d maybe recommend it, but it is in no way worth the money.

I really enjoy TL… They always have appointments readily available. The wait time sometimes can be a little long, but I don’t mind waiting a bit for the stylist that really knows my hair. Also a bit on the expensive side for a guys cut. Shampoo and cut is about 30 bucks with tip.
The original TL Salon on Highway 69 in Taylorville royally screwed up my hair, but i was recommended this place by a friend and it’s my go to place for a cut in ttown.

They told me the wait was going to be at most 15 minutes. I ended up waiting for an hour and the girls at the desk didn’t even feel a little bad about it.

That’s it. I’m never coming here again.
I go in for a dry haircut appointment today. Dry. So that means no shampoo, no conditioner and no blowdry and no style. And it was really a trim since I’m trying to grow out my hair.
I’m in the chair, snip snip, out of chair in less than 5 minutes. My total? $ 27.50! My jaw nearly dropped and I wanted to ask the woman ringing me up «are you kidding?! I barely had anything taken off and they want to charge me nearly $ 28 for that?! For $ 17 more, I could have gone with the whole works! Shampoo, conditioner, cut and style!
I left feeling like I’d been robbed blind. The price for the service just seems outrageous to me.
