I’m SOOOO glad they rebuilt after the tornado! I graduated around the time they re opened, by I was able to get my hair colored there a few times before I moved, and they did a great job!(Per usual) The interior of the salon is really nice now! BIGUPGRADE!

Heather at Gilda’s is absolutely wonderful! I wanted a pixie cut, and she listened to everything I wanted and delivered. I’ve received countless compliments on it, and she has also kept it looking wonderful every time I visit. She is the only stylist I’ve had experience with, so I can’t speak for anyone else there, but I definitely recommend Heather! And the prices at Gilda’s are also very reasonable – great for students on a budget.

Gilda’s has been in Tuscaloosa many years, but in April 2011 the building was destroyed by a tornado. It has finally been rebuilt, and opened back in the original location today. I did not frequent Gilda’s before the tornado, so I can’t compare it to it’s former operation, but I can say that this rebuilt place is beautiful. Of course, it’s spotless. All of the employees are helpful, polite, and seem genuinely happy to work at Gilda’s. I want to give a particular shout-out to Sara and Mallory, who listened attentively to my ramblings, and did a beautiful job on my hair and nails. Gilda’s is a complete salon and spa, with hair services, nail services and massages. Their Web page is very user friendly. Many links to click to see pricing, packages, photos, etc. I have been to another salon/spa in town, that had an air of snootiness that I did not care for. There were no ‘airs’ here. They seem to treat all their customers equally well, no matter what their position in life.
