Sewell-Thomas is the home to the University of Alabama’s baseball team. It’s a fine venue and a wonderful place to see some college baseball. I’ve been to ST a few times and have always enjoyed my time there. Alabama has traditionally had a strong baseball program and I love the college game. College baseball is an amazing sport and one of the last games that is played at a high level for the love of the game. The stadium itself is relatively small. It wouldn’t be considered one of the premier stadiums in the SEC, but it is nice. The seating ranges from the third base line, around home, and then down the first baseline. There is not any outfield seating. The structure is a little older, but it is well maintained and can get some solid crowds on the weekends. This stadium is also smaller in dimensions than most other college fields. If you like home-runs, Sewell-Thomas is the spot! It’s a quaint stadium, but a good time for the college baseball enthusiast.

This place is truly a fantastic college baseball venue. Home of the University of Alabama Baseball team, it’ has a large seating capacity, and the crowd can really rock during big games. The venue has hosted some really big games, including NCAA Regionals and Super Regionals. It doesn’t have quite the seating capacity or luxury features of some of the newer, or larger, campus stadiums such as Alex Box at LSU or Dudy Noble at MS State, but it can definitely hold its own. Bama has regularly finished in the top 10 in attendance, with this great baseball stadium.
