Really enjoyed this history of Alabama football. Low entry price made it a good value.

This is a nice collection of Alabama football history. Some interesting items in the collection. I was disappointed that there was not more relating specifically to Bear Bryant. Even though I’m not a die hard Tide Fan, I grew up seeing him on the sidelines in the houndstooth hat and winning ball games, so would have been nice to see more specifically relating to his life and coaching career.

From a college football fan’s perspective, this place is pretty great. It’s open all year long, seven days a week, and it’s only $ 2 to get in. If you’re in the area, there’s no excuse for not checking it out. While named after the school’s first or second best coach, it covers much more than the Bear. There are uniforms dating back to the 1800’s. Every single coach and school is profiled. Yep, even«Ears» Whitworth and«Nice Guy» Shula. You can gaze at the crystal balls and argue how many trophies should actually fill the halls. One thing everyone can agree on… there are a lot of them.

The Paul«Bear» Bryant Museum, located conveniently on the University of Alabama campus is a must-see for nearly everyone… not just friends and fans of the University, but anyone who is interested in history, nostalgia, and even the community. Yes, it’s named after Coach Bear Bryant, but it’s not a museum simply dedicated to Bryant. yes, there’s plenty of items in there related to Bryant, including a mock-up of his office… and yes, it covers the history of Alabama football… but it’s so much more. Exhibits are tweaked from time to time, to be relevant to current times, including a fantastic display on the city’s current recovery from a recent devastating tornado outbreak. So go by and visit, and yes, I mean you, Auburn fans, MS State fans, Gator fans… there’s truly something for everyone.
