I have had many excellent experiences at Chipotle restaurants throughout our area. Today, unfortunately I did not. While getting my burrito I noticed several things that were frankly alarming at first and then escalated. First, a non-uniformed chipotle employee or friend? came behind the line in plain clothes, long hair flowing, to make her plate while the other employee showed her portion sizes and how they work. The employee making my burrito scraped the bottom of the bin and gave me a half scoop of rice and meat. Upon her finishing the people in front of me, I asked for the correct portion at which point an employee behind me in line chimed in that, «Those were the sizes and how she did it was right. If I wanted more, I’d have to pay more.» I wasn’t aware I was talking to the rude employee in line and the employee behind the line was quiet. I continued to make my burrito through the line, ordering my chips and guacamole totaling my meal to $ 17. I grabbed a business card while I paid at which point the rude employee in line behind me said, «Tell Courtney we going to have a complaint on portion sizes coming from this one.» To which I decided that it wasn’t worth ruining my dinner date at that moment to address someone who couldn’t be bothered to come out from the back room to address a customer complaint. I noticed that Courtney White was the name of the General Manager on the card and decided to email corporate instead. I am disgusted at the behavior that was allowed to go on, the attitude of the employees towards each other as well as the disrespect towards customers. I will NEVER come back to this location. It was truly the worst experience I have ever encountered in your restaurants and I will be reaching out to our local health department to discuss what I witnessed with the person making the burrito. Upon further thought, I will not be finishing my $ 17 meal because I am 40 weeks pregnant and don’t want to risk the contamination. I thought of all restaurants with sanitation issues that have been so publicized it would be taken seriously. Apparently not in the midtown village location. ***DONTWASTEYOURTIMEORMONEYATTHISLOCATIONGOTOTHECAMPUSLOCATIONIFYOUWANTTOEATHEREATALL… Or go to Moe’s***

Honestly was pretty excited to try out Chipotle after hearing nothing but great things from friends. Ultimately, I was very disappointed in my burrito. Not only did they not offer queso, but the steak was not fully cooked. If that wasn’t enough, the drink machine was broken and the medium salsa tasted more like they had scooped it out of a volcano. Not a good combination. I will return only because my friends love to eat here, and hope one day I come in and my taste buds orgasm from the freshly made food. Until that day, I sit and weep in silence.

Honestly, this is the worst Chipotle I have ever been to in my entire life. I have never been to a Chipotle that consistently has given me poor service, attitude, and frustration about my food. How hard is it to just make a burrito bowl and smile? Yesterday is probably the last time I’m coming to this Chipotle. I’ll be going to the one on campus from now on. After a 12-hour shift and walking through the pouring cold rain, I was thrilled and excited to have my Chipotle. When I finally made it up to the counter, I asked for a bowl to go with a little bit of rice. Now here’s where it gets bad. It ruined my day and I’m still upset as I’m typing this. Me: Can I have a little bit of brown rice? Employee digs an enormous scoop of brown rice and plops it in my bowl: Like that? Me: No, I wanted less rice. I said that. Employee: So what, you want me to throw this away now? I hate seeing food go to waste. She literally glared and waited for me to change my mind to not have the food be thrown away so I just sucked it up and took this rice-filled bowl home that I didn’t even want. Make that drive to the Chipotle on campus. It’s not worth ruining your day here.

Hands down, worst Chipotle I’ve ever had. The shortage of avocados, Izze sodas and ICE are forgivable but the inedible steak(I couldn’t even chew it), apathetic employees and filthy bathroom were NOT. #firstworldproblems but seriously, this location needs to step it up.

Yesterday wasn’t the most pleasant time to drive an hour your nearest chipotle. The air conditioning was out so waiting in line and ordering food was like being sauna, so we sat at the table right next to the bathrooms and it made my experience a little better considering it was as hot. But 4 stars because the steak was tougher than I remember.

Chipotle is a decent, fast food Mexican option. I love that you can make it semi-healthy with options like sofritas(tofu) and vegetable only burritos or bowls. The rice is excellently flavored. I think the portion sizes are a little too big… which some people would love. I happen to think that’s the problem with America though :). I got a burrito and it weighed about 3 pounds. Needless to say, I had 2 meals worth of leftovers. The chips and guacamole are a good little snack, but I had to give Chipotle 3 stars because I’m a fatty and I want some queso dip with my Mexican, which they don’t offer. Get with it Chipotle!

The food is good, if overpriced, just like every other Chipotle I’ve ever visited. The lines at this place tend to go all the way out the door if you arrive anytime even close to peak lunch hours, so you may want to go a little earlier or a little later than normal.

Not as good as some other chipotles, but this one is decent. A little cold in the restaurant so if it’s the winter, bring a jacket.

I’ve been to a dozen Chipotles around the nation and stopped here on a road trip through. Slowest Chipotle ever! The guy at the register is taking 5 minutes per group and the ladies in the back are more interested in talking than doing their prep work. Guess this is what you get in Alabama…

I’ve been to at least 20 Chipotle locations, this one(which was closest to my Alabama apartment) was by far the worst– because of service alone. I love Chipotle and crave it about once a week, and this location had such awful service(employees with nasty attitudes) it deterred my business. I always left there swearing never again. It’s also painfully slow for a buffet-line style restaurant. You will never get in and out in less than 10 minutes. Not every employee was nasty– the friendliest were the cooks making rice, getting yelled at by the grumpy jerks on the front line. I wish I had complained to the management, who knows how many other customers feel the same way. The food was still delicious!

Delicious as all Chipotle’s are, of course. Gets really busy around peak hours with long lines, but still relatively fast. One time they«ran out» of chicken(it wasn’t even busy) and acted like it was impossible for them to make anymore(it was around 2pm so not like it was near closing time). One girl was extremelyyyyy rude to me and to my surprise, a coworker witnessed and not only made me the chicken burrito I desired but also comped it! Generally the staff are pretty nice, but I’ve returned since the above incident and the same girl was working, and was rude to me again!(visibly rolling eyes when I asked for a side of guacamole) I’ve seen her be unfriendly to other customers as well, so I know it isn’t a personal vendetta towards me.

I love Chipotle in general but went today and the staff were openly fighting in front of customers and the chicken was burnt and really dry. Not the best Chipotle I’ve been to.

I actually like their food. I found myself going back for the chicken quesadillas and burritos. They are fast and I like them.

I love the fact that it’s «healthy» Mexican food! :-D The service was fast and the food fresh. Just how I like it when I’m grabbing lunch to go!

Chipotle, Moe’s, Q’doba…they all start seeming pretty similar after a while. The atmosphere of this Chipotle is very different from both the Moe’s locations in T-town with its stainless, modern look and feel. The food was good – chips and salsa, enormous burritos – but nothing really jumped out to me as particularly differentiated.

For Tuscaloosa, this is one of the better fast, yet relatively healthy options in town. I’ve never experienced a line longer than 2 or 3 minutes here. People are always friendly. Place is very clean, has nice outside seating as well. Parking is very easy as well. Chipotle in my opinion is a step up from Moe’s because of the better flavors, and their commitment to natural raised meats, etc.
