When you check in at night, the lobby and the front desk are completely behind bullet proof style glass. The night clerk refuses to let you into the front door of the hotel and makes you go into a side door after he secures payment. The whole experience felt like a night in the drunk tank. It is not like every other hotel where you talk through an intercom, they see you are a normal person, and then they let you through the locked door. The Ambassador is a business that thinks you will personally kill them, therefore they want no interaction with you unless it is between a three inch piece of glass.
Other nonsense: The shampoo packets are basically a shampoo/​conditioner samples that might contain 1oz of shampoo/​conditioner.
