This hotel needed a remodel about 20 years ago. Same issue– family weekend and nowhere else to go. Paid a ridiculously high rate and then checked in to a room of stained rugs and curtains, a urine and must smell in the bathroom, an air-​conditioner hanging off a corroding wall, and a nasty chair that even my 18 year old son wouldn’t sit in. Couldn’t get a refund for anything but the third night, where we went next door to the newer, cleaner, better Candlewood Inn.
Avoid this hotel on ANY weekend, much less Parents’ Weekend.

This Ramada has roaches. I checked into my room, unpacked and took a shower when I got out I saw a roach on the wall and one on the baseboard in the bathroom. After several discussions with the front desk, sales person and finally the owner we got a full refund. Was very difficult to get our money back. The fact is the hotel has roaches.
