Olde Tyme Pastries

This place is stupid good!!! I don’t live in Turlock but I visit I often. The last 3 – 4 times I have had pastries and cookies from here. My be bought a tiramisu cake and brought it over. It was delicious, great texture and you could tell it was fresh. My real live here (I have three so far). #1 the chocolate chip cookies. I could eat a dozen in one sitting. There are chewy and delicious and just the right amount of chocolate chips. My second the muffins (so far I have only gotten lucky once) I got the blueberry. Insanely good. Delusions, mouth watering. Moist not too sweet and the size was good. It was everything I want in a muffin and more. My third live here… Obsession really and this was a game changer for me because I would have never thought to buy these myself… Snickerdoodle cookies. They are everything that is good and right in the world, also what happiness is made out of. They are again like the chocolate chip cookies soft and chewy, the right kind of chewy where you know the baker is a miracle worker not when they have been left out for too long chewy. The flavor is amazing not too sweet not too much or too little of anything. I would love to post a picture, but let’s be real #priorities. There is no way I am waiting to eat then to take a picture. Sorry fellow Unilocalers!!! Do yourselves a favor and go here! Best bakery in Turlock!!! Sorry Sunrise your lavash is second to none but Olde Tyme has the cookie game locked up!!!

Just got some napoleons from here which were $ 4.75 each & they’re alwful. Old & dry. My 1^st & last time to come here.

Had one off your cakes for my husbands retirement, it was the bomb. Every one was expressing how good it was. I know this is the place I’ll be going for all my cakes now. Ordered it through The Fruit Yard.

It was so so! I will go back and try them again. Coffee was ok. Pastry wasn’t the greatest. Maybe I should buy a cake next time. They look delicious.

Visiting town and wanted to check out this quaint shop.
Staff: really bad behind the register– thought I was in trouble for ordering. never thought taking my money was such a big deal. Asked for a hot mocha in a warm cup (don’t like lukewarm coffee) curly hair no name tag lady looked at me like I was requesting a weedwacker with the oil and gas mixture pre mixed… «um I don’t think we can do that– um I don’t even think we could do that if we wanted». So I said simply stick the mug in the microwave for 30 seconds or pour hot water in it first before you pour the coffee. She ended up looking bewildered like there were no more weedwacker in stock and she was going to have to make one from scratch. — no stars terrible
Coffee: came in a milkshake mug that was topped with whip so when you tried to drink it poured and flooded your face??? Stupid idea. Good thing it wasn’t hot ! — 0 stars
turkey sandwich: really good slightly to much mayonnaise– 4 stars
Cookie: 5 stars delicious

The sugar and snickerdoodle cookies are so good it’s unreal. As is every single other cookie there. I bought a dozen sugar cookies and now I regret not buying more because they’re THAT GOOD.

I love Olde Tyme’s selection of pastries. For a bakery, their cakes and cupcakes are unfortunately dry. Their coffees are great though. I love the atmosphere!

The service is good.
Pastries are so so.
I just wish it was cleaner.
The espresso was burnt.

So delicious! My big family and I have been going to this bakery for decades. We don’t even live in the area anymore, but if anyone is headed close to that area, we all put in orders, and we fight over the pineapple cheese rings. If someone selfishly goes without announcing it and taking orders, family fights ensue and Christmas is awkward.
I highly recommend this bakery for their quality and customer service. Go there! I’m enjoying a pineapple cheese ring right now and just so thankful this place exists.

A little known about secret is the beehive pie! A delicate pastry filled with delicious custard. It pairs perfectly with coffee on the morning and is well worth the drive from Modesto to share with my mom for Mother’s Day. I love little family bakeries like this one!

Son los mejores postres en la Cd. de Turlock, excelente servicio y servicio de café para pasar un rato agradable.
Puedes mandar a hacer cualquier diseño en Pasteles, cup cakes etc…

It was my first time here today, I got 1 cheesecake, 1 cake pop for my baby, & 1 cupcake & I forgot the names for all 3. Smh. Lol but they were all so good!!! I’m definitely getting my daughters bday cake here.

I’ve come here several times hoping for a better experience due to the high ratings in Unilocal,however I have to say, I’ve left feeling disappointed every time. Frankly the way the staff treat you has left me mad every time. You would think a group of older woman would be sweet, but that is far from the truth.
I most definitely prefer Sunrise Bakery.

Favorite bakery in the valley. Two thumbs up! Everything is always fresh. And not very expensive. Staff is friendly. I always recommend this bakery to send all my friends too
