Nice place. VERY clean. I was there late and they weren’t busy.
Just finished the burger. Damn, it was excellent! Thanks Scott Wood for recommending it. I just had the regular cheeseburger and it was simply great. It comes with onion, lettuce, pickles, and tomato. It’s a nice larger burger and extremely tasty. The fries would have been great if they’d been hot.
I’ll be back and check out other menu items.

Thank God for Unilocal or else I probably never would have known of this place as I was passing through heading to Seattle. I tried the California Burger with onion rings and it was DELICIOUS!!! Hands down one of the best burger I’ve ever tried. If I ever find myself near here again, I’ll definitely be stopping by for another burger.

1^st time here and will be a return guest again and again. The crew Michael, Alicia, Steven and Quinn even though it was busy, being lunch and all, were upbeat, smiling, and polite not only with us the customers but also with eachother. Quinn took our order and was very patient since we’re newbies. The food was made 2 order fresh and most definitely DELICIOUS! The fries were fresh, crispy outside, yet tender inside and to my surprise were seasoned. Great portion for the price. They offer not jus Philly Steak sandwiches. I spied and smelled some yummy, BIG salads, a chicken sandwich or 2, wraps and some yummy appetizers/​sides. They are packed at lunch so get there early or call in you order.

Love the food there and they are always extremely busy. I always try to order ahead that way I can just bypass the line.

I think this has the best burgers in Olympia. Great place, really nice people, good location, and yummy food! You can dine in, or call ahead to pick-​up. Red Wagon is one of our local favorites!

The fish and the onion rings were both soaked in grease — really bad. They do have good burgers and fries though, but nothing special. You order at the counter like any other burger joint, but it’s slower than most.

Delicious lunch stop. We had a bacon cheeseburger, mushroom cheese steak, fries and kids cheeseburger. Was plentiful and delicious.

Food here has always been great, along with service, but today Michael was what we all wish to get out of customer service. He was welcoming, friendly and even though it was slow he was always busy cleaning and stocking. Great to see a young man take his job seriously and treat customers with respect.

Oh my gosh! This place is so yum! The burgers are huge! And juicy. My son ordered a double patty and it was 5 feet tall. Lol We have had quite a few different items here and none have disappointed us. Everything is so fresh. The chicken burger is a huge chicken breast. The wraps are pretty good too. My husband loves the cheesesteaks. My kids love the milkshakes.
The owner’s son is a really nice guy. Great personality.
If you are looking for a great burger this is the place!!!

Very good and FRESH! Have been there a few times now and have not been disappointed once.
Their mushroom cheese steak is delicious! Burgers are very good. California wrap (I think that is what it was called) was incredible. Even for breakfast the next morning.

I had an carbon monoxide leak in my new home, so I lived out of a suitcase for a week and a half as they tried to find and fix that leak. In that time I depended upon Unilocal to help me locate places to eat that offered to-​go items to eat in hotel rooms. Thanks other Unilocalers for recommending Red Wagon.
Oh, fried zucchini and onion rings don’t keep well. If you order, make sure you eat them right away and they are good. If you wait an hour, not so much.

Delicious! Philly Cheesesteak is bomb and onion rings.yumm. Better than what I’ve had in awhile. Would order again!

I really need to figure out why they use to marinate their steak, because it is delicious. The Wiz cheesesteak basically kills your need for food for the rest of the day (week?) but it’s so worth it. My favorite stop in Tumwater.

Took an overnight trip with the wife and kids down to Seaside Oregon and stopped here along the way. It had great reviews on Unilocal so we anticipated some good eats.
The place is quite cool and they have a nice outdoor seating area. They have a huge selection of beers and the menu is large. For the most part, there was nothing really special about most of the food. My daughter couldn’t finish her chicken strips because they were not good. I had a fish sandwich that was actually pretty good and dressed very well with red onion, pickles, lettuce and tartar sauce. My wife had a burger and the actual meat part was very tasty but the toppings were so full of moisture that her bun fell apart and she ended up having to eat her burger with a knife and fork. When she reached the bottom of it, the moisture had deteriorated the paper in her basket and I’m pretty sure that she ate some of the paper. The fries, onion rings and deep fried zucchini were just bleh. Probably straight out of the freezer and into the fryer.
The worst part of our visit was that it seemed like the cook could only make one order at a time. All four of us in our party received our food at very different times. My wife’s burger came out pretty quickly but then we had to wait. Then the chicken strip meal showed up followed 5 to 10 minutes later by the next meal and then finally I received my sandwich. What do you do in that situation? Sit and wait while your food gets cold so that you can eat as a family or do you dig in and just sit and wait for the rest do finish after you’re done?
It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t as great as all of the Unilocalers reviews made it out to be. Next time, we’ll skip the Red Wagon and opt for someplace else.

This is a weird in between fast food and a nice burger restaurant. Onion rings are some of the best I’ve had. Quality of the food is top notch. But don’t expect to be sitting in a nice restaurant with a server. Little pricey but excellent customer service and food quality makes up for it.

Great Deluxe Bacon Cheeseburger and Mushroom Philly. Juicy burger, fresh tomato and crisp lettuce. $ 5burger, $ 4 Philly. Great French fries also. Sauce is a sweet thousand island kind…

It was about dinner time when I told Siri, «I’m hungry.» Siri replied with this joint… and it had 4.5 stars in Unilocal?!Whaaaa? And I had never been there? So off I went with directions from Siri.
Don’t get why it’s called Red Wagon but who cares? Why is red robin called red robin?
So I went in and was greeted right away. I ordered the California burger meal. OMG the avocado slices were huge cubes! The burger was bigger than my mouth! I didn’t need ketchup because there was so much flavor in this burger. Flame broiled taste. The fries also had great flavor but I used ketchup for those.

Burger was super bland and super dry. Bun was over crispy. Nothing special about the fries. This place is a rip. Steer clear. Plus salt and pepper shakers are coated in grease.
I will not return.

We were trying to be healthy and ordered Chicken Caesar Salads… while waiting for them to come out, smelling all of the burgers and onion rings, we thought we made a mistake… until they came out… WOW! … Tasted as good as they looked!

My first visit so a 3+ for now.
Once and a while, I get a hunger for «un BurGair du Jardin», restaurant style. On the basis of positive reviews, I went to the Red Wagon.
Now you may ask, how can a garden burger be good at a beef hamburger joint? Well, it was! Lots of stuff on a huge bun, the patty cooked through (so many I have are still partially frozen on the inside) and thousand island as the «secret sauce». Pretty dang yummy.
They specialize in char broiling their regular burgers. In addition they offer wraps, chicken based items and a variety of Philly cheese steaks. I was likewise impressed that they offer a few bona fide veggie items. They also offer beer by the bottle.
Two minor demerits — the fries were OK but not memorable and a little on the small serving size. I also had onion on my garden burger. I expected raw and these were grilled and left the bun pretty soggy. The sandwich fell apart.
I’ll give them another try. For me, there is tons of potential in what I like for a burger joint.

I had the California burger and my boo had the teriyaki burger. Both were bigger than our mouths! These burgers are not for the weak of heart. You have to stretch your mouths in ways you’ve never stretched your mouth to get these down the hatch. I’m considering going through surgery to unhinge my jaw so I can more easily eat here!
In all seriousness the food is delicious, everything is hot and fresh when you order. They are fast and efficient and have an amazing variety to pick from, including vegetarian options and healthy options!
The customer service was excellent. Very attentive and concerned with our happiness. I will definitely come back!
