Living at 11th and Harvard, and working downtown, I really had hopes that Route 66 would turn into a great little burger joint as I watched the renovations taking place too and fro from work. I was imagining it being a place I could drop in at lunch to pick up a quick burger whenever I got the craving. This turned out to not be the case as I «dropped in» for a quick burger to go and was there almost 30 mins and there were only 4 other people in the restaurant. With only 1 employee and a grill the size of a TV tray, I can’t imagine there is even enough surface space to cook the amount of food necessary to keep the restaurant open! Oh well, another wasted opportunity.

Went there the other day after buying a Groupon and it was quite good. We had a reuben sandwich, club sandwich, and a cheeseburger all with fries. The burger was $ 6 and $ 2 extra for fries and was sit-​down restaurant quality. The reuben was ok, but needed a bit more sauce. The star of the show was the club. Tons of meat and a good portion of mayo. This is definitely a great place for lunch. The fries are ok at best. I’d pass on them. It is a bit pricey, but the extra nice staff makes up for it.

Great burger. This place just opened my order came out perfect. I ordered the Route 66 Club Burger…½ pound patty, cheddar cheese, bacon and the best bun I have had in Tulsa. The fries were perfectly seasoned and the place is super clean. Real meal for under $ 10 and close to campus. PERFECT. Rumor has it is that TU students and local employees get 15% off too!

This place just opened down the street, so i thought i would give it a try. It was a little messy in there, but i figured they just opened, try it anyhow.
I ordered a cheeseburger with mustard, onion, and pickle only. the burger was odd shaped, almost football shaped. the onion (there was only one ring) was kind of mushy, and the pickle was a spear, that they had cut in half. the meat itself was very soft, almost meatloafy-​i didnt care for the texture.
the fries were just ok, i wasnt really that impressed.
they do have subs, i may go back and try a sub
overall, not impressed.
