Service was acceptable, and food of a favorable quality. I throughly enjoyed my dining experience until I reached the end of my meal. As I enjoyed my dessert I was taken aback by the grotesque sounds of Coldplay. I immediately threw up. Thankfully it’s a buffet, so I simply refilled my belly and was happily on my way. Would eat here again.

When you see pizza on a Chinese food buffet, that doesn’t inspire confidence. Under new management. They don’t have crab rangoons at lunch any more. They have a fried wonton stuffed with cheese that’s an okay substitute. They still have the chicken on a stick that’s so tasty and the vegetable egg rolls are quite good. They have also improved on the hot and sour soup, adding much-needed chicken to the recipe. However, the entrees are now almost entirely various versions of fried meat. They used to have a lot of peppers, onions, broccoli, cabbage and carrots with meat. Meat was an ingredient, not the centerpiece. But now… lots of meat, most of it fried. My plate was brown and beige. Gone are the bright colors and textures of great veggies. The people are still quite nice, and I hate to say anything, but I’m hoping they get back to what made The Oriental Buffet the best Chinese food buffet in town.

While the selection is decent most of the food on the hot line was cold. Very disappointing

I’m not normally a ‘buffet person’ but this Chinese buffet is pretty decent. $ 8.99 a person + tax and they have quite a bit of options to choose from. I’m easy to please & typically indulge in the Egg Drop Soup and Sweet/Sour chicken. & the options don’t end there. When you’re finished with your meal, there’s a dessert bar. Have a ice cream cone-You deserve it!

First time trying this restaurant after driving by many times. The food was fresh and tasty while the overall dinner was reasonable priced. I didn’t feel like I was paying for more than I could eat. Service was friendly and attentive. Good food compared to other buffets I’ve been too.

We were pleasantly surprised. Good food at a reasonable price. Variety and quality exceeded expectation.

We used to eat here a lot, and I really liked the food and selection they had available. Until one visit, I got some egg drop soup from the buffet, and when I went to eat it there was a bug floating in it. I tried to tell the waitress quietly, so she could do something about it. Instead, she told me to go get some more(from the same batch), because there wouldn’t be another bug in it. We paid and left. Haven’t been back since.

So many buffet options in Tulsa… some good, some just OK, this one was neither. It was downright bad. Food was not kept at proper temperatures and some was down-right unedible(and I’m not picky and was very hungry on this particular occasion). Service was average, but even the best of service wouldn’t have done much to redeem this place with food that poor. Go to 17th& Garnett or 61st and Memorial before you ever think about this place. May have been a fluke, but I won’t take my chances.

Upfront warning: If you want authentic Chinese food, this isn’t your place. BUT, man for only $ 6.50 during lunch, this place was pretty good. It was awkward service though, I got seated, they asked if I wanted something to drink, but I could hardly hear my server. I had to have her repeat herself, which I think annoyed her a bit. The food is fairly fresh, but not always. For the freshest food, I’d go for the things that clearly have steam coming out of them. They had like a «fried» stuff section(rangoons, fried chicken fingers, fried fish, etc.), soup(wonton, egg drop soup, etc.) section with dumplings, then the basic stir fries in the center. They also had a desert section consisting of puddings and jellos and pastries. The highlight of it all was the stirfry. I had no clue it was there until I noticed one guy gunning for that area first and was curious to know why. Not a fantastic selection for stir fry, but still was cool they had it. I made a pretty spicy batch, so I ran out of water pretty quick. Unfortunately, getting your waiters attention again is one difficult task. I would just leave a pitcher at every table if you really are that busy. I feel they undervalue the buffet, and with that comes what felt like a miserable set of employees, almost like they are clearly underpaid. I almost felt like a criminal eating there though because of that.

One of the best selections we have seen on a buffet. Kept fresh and filled. Service was fantastic!

At only $ 8.50 per person for the dinner buffet(not including soft drink), Oriental Buffet has quickly become my fiancé and my favorite asian buffet. I much prefer this restaurant over any other asian buffets because of the constantly excellent quality of food, genuinely friendly staff, the cheapest dinner price around, and overall cleanliness. Looking for a asian restaurant that’s family friendly, constantly delivers tasty and quality food, and staff that are friendly and tend to you constantly(unlike other restaurant staff that are only around when it is time for you to pay… And tip.) — Then look no further! You will be incredibly full and deeply pleased. We always are :)

The Oriental Buffet is one of three Chinese Buffet serving Tulsa with a shared linage and/or ownership. The«chairman» of this trio is Beijing Gourmet located at 61st and Memorial with another store located at 21st and Garnet. Generally speaking the 61st and 71st street locations offer essentially the same items and quality of food, I believe Beijing has more variety as the buffet wanders from stir fried to fried. The Oriental Buffet does offer«sushi» but limited to the cream cheese and fake crab variety. The Mongolian BBQ is a nice option at both locations. Both locations have mounted LCD televisions and generally speaking tuned to CNN. They are always happy to change channels during football season or any other occasion. I enjoy a salad before my meal regardless of cuisine and I’m continued to be amused by the salad bar at both locations. The lettuce and obligatory«Rancher’s» dressing is standard but the lettuce isn’t ready for salad nor is it large enough to make Lettuce Wraps. I usually tear up the lettuce and get mushrooms, onion etc from the Mongolian BBQ to make a proper salad. I know there is life beyond Oriental Buffet but this is a consistent and reasonably priced buffet.
