So good! Great staff and amazing food and cocktails. Can’t wait to go back again. Gluten-free friendly and educated. Highly reccomend a «nest of vipers» with their beef tagine for a cozy winter treat.

Laffa. 10⁄2 Update Really sorry Laffa. You wowed us so the first time. Again, visiting you on Art Walk Friday. Per earlier review 8/27, the bar area is quieter so that’s where we asked to sit. «Sure,» the waitress said. We moved several times due to lighting, etc. Wow did we make a mistake! Another waitress announced rudely that we couldn’t sit there. It was reserved. «It had a green bottle on it.» Heard another waitress say the bar was holding a «ten top». Really? There were over 20 seats, all told, being held by green bottles. I’d guess about ½ of the bar area seating. A waiter then removed a BOTTLE for an elderly female duo beside us. Another foursome was seated on our other side, BOTTLE removed. They were told the«oh let’s bow down, 10 top, let’s hold 20 seats & be rude at 5:30» reservation was @ 7:00!!! Bad enough? NO. The Laffa was not fresh. Cold. The dirty martini I have so loved, was.. . Just not as dirty. But our waitress was awesome. Reygen(Ray Gun, on the ticket) She brought hubby all four sauces. She was friendly & attentive. Bar full of elderly people, no offense. Well, grey haired. Just telling like it was. Luv that bread pudding. Reygen said they usually use Blue Bell ice cream. I had just read Blue Bell wasn’t back yet & we really liked what was served. She said, then it was Mods. Kudos Mods. Not giving up on you. Hope you read and take reviews to heart. You have so much to offer. Sent from my iPhone

This is my 6th visit. I’m addicted to the«Esau Soup.» Yes, soup. Yes, delicious! The lamb kabobs are fantastic! They come with a sauce that dances across your taste buds. But, just about everything is delicious. If you are unsure, the servers are always a great help in deciding.

Been here three times. First time very busy Friday night, sat at bar had great service, really good cocktails, lamb meatballs for hubby, falafel and sweet potato fries for me. Really good food and fun at bar. Second trip sat outside, service not good but food excellent. Chicken kabob for me, lamb schwarma for hubby, crazy good pistachio dessert. Third visit last night, lemony chicken entrée, meze trio for app, great cocktails, really nice waitress. Really fun addition to downtown eating.

not my favorite, it wasnt bad, but the service was slow, and the food wasn’t something I am dying to go back for. Friends have had different experiences so I am sure I will try it again!

Generally pretty OK fusion food, but appalling service. I suggested Laffa to an important guest the other day and was embarrassed by my suggestion due to the awful service. Was seated by the hostess, indifferent waiter turned up 10 – 15 minutes later, water turned up 15 – 20 minutes later(brought by another girl who disappeared before taking order as our waiter chatted up a girl behind the bar) and then nothing for another 20 minutes. I saw our waiter getting into a car with another girl outside and decided it was time to stop hoping for reasonable service. Nobody noticed as our party walked out in frustration. Owned by the son of a billionaire, so I suppose they don’t need to provide good food or service to stay in business… but then what’s the point? I won’t be back. Try Al Sultan on 51st and Mingo for good Middle Eastern food and respectful service(or just walk across the street to Sisserou’s for for flavorful Caribbean and top notch staff.)

We won’t be back. The food was not super fantastic nor was the service. Nice but not very helpful. Basically told us what we couldn’t have on the menu because of availability. We ordered a variety of items off the menu and we weren’t impressed. My wrap had sweet potato fries in it… odd. didn’t have enough pita to finish the hummus. We paid 45 $ for lunch. This included appetizer, two lunch entrees and 2 drinks which were on special. Way overpriced The ONLY thing fabulous were the 2 drinks we ordered.

Let me preface: I saw someone I knew check in here and they *obviously* have good taste in food so I decided this is where I would eat. My friend and I came here on a Saturday night at around 7:30 and were seated immediately. Our waiter popped over quickly and explained some items on the menu, but we both decided we were going to try the chicken and lamb shawarma. It was fantastic! It was prepared well, tasted great, and came with sweet potato fries with a raspberry ketchup. Overall, I was really impressed by the service, prices, and atmosphere!

This was a pleasant surprise in Tulsa. I was with a group and our order began with bread and a variety of spreads and sides as one would get in a Middle Eastern restaurant. The sweet spiced carrots and spicy cauliflower were great. The other spreads were all first rate. The bread was a large fresh cooked bread more like naan than pita that we each ripped sections of to enjoy. For dinner I ordered the Beef Tangine but tried my neighbors meals. Here was my one disappointment — perhaps. When I think of Tangine I think not just of flavor but texture and I think of the crunch of an almond, the pop of an olive, or the sweetness of an apricot. This stew was flavorful but missing the nuanced delight I think of with Tangine(and I’m used to it with lamb or chicken). If I was reviewing that alone is give 3 stars but I tried some of the other dishes and was impressed with all else. And the Tangine was tasty just not the best in the west they claimed. I’d happily return and enjoy another great meal.

A really good place for large groups and specially great for vegetarians. Our server Joshua was really good and accommodated us for 7. We had a long wait time but worth it though. We had food served family style and tried the following: peace offering, fresh lemonade, haleeb mahaal, sahlab, pomegranate cooler, Zataar haydari, muhammara, Aleppo panini, Esau soup, street falafel, basboussa and om Ali. Like you note, there were a lot of options for us as vegetarians to try. Sahlab, muhammara, basboussa and haydari were really good. Give it a shot!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here. We started with the Za’atar Haydari which is a creamy olive and feta dip served with laffa bread(Mediterranean version of Naan). She ordered the spanikopita grilled cheese for her entrée and for as much of a purist as I am about Greek food, I have to admit it was darn tasty! I went with the chicken and lamb schwarma with a side of Ya-Ya’s chili. The chili made my heart smile. Ground lamb and cinnamon is an idea I will be stealing for my next batch of this perfect rainy day food. Topped with feta and lubne — it was sign of the cross delish. Service was also very attentive and accommodating. We will DEFINITELY be back on our next trip to Tulsa!

One of my favorite places to eat! The food is wonderful and they also have very creative drinks. I love the street falafel with pomegranate ketchup and sweet potato fries. The nachos are also great.

Awesome salad. It was a flavor journey! Menu Description: Three delicious falafel balls on a bed of spring greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, marinated cauliflower, «dukkah»(nuts), asparagus & goat cheese drizzled with a pomegranate molasses vinaigrette. Served with a side of curried tehina & laffa. 10.99

What a great addition to the Downtown area! Laffa’s located in the heart of the Brady District near a slew of new bars and restaurants. I don’t live in Tulsa anymore but I feel like there’s always something new opening in this area during my annual visit back. Laffa seemed like a wonderful addition to the growing area. I haven’t had much Middle Eastern food in my life but I really enjoyed my lamb kabobs. The dish came with a hearty portion of lamb that spread across a bed of rice, onions, and some other vegetables. If I recall correctly, we also had some complimentary bread that reminded me of Indian naan, which was very good. The food was reasonably priced and came out of the kitchen quickly. It seems like the perfect place to swing by before a show at Cain’s or the Brady.

I had a wonderful experience for my first time at Laffa. I love the atmosphere. It’s feels a bit upscale but also casual and relaxed. I’m also a big fan of the music, an indie lover’s dream. Side note, it’s really cool that you can see them making the laffa bread through a window much like some Mexican restaurants do with tortillas. Nice touch. For the food, I don’t have enough good things to say! I had the Brady salad and my brother had the chicken and lamb shawarma. We also had the mushroom hummus appetizer. The food was excellent! The falafel in the salad was authentic and I could clearly tell it was freshly made. Between the hummus and large salad, I was definitely full. I’d never tried mushroom hummus before and I gotta say, it was one of the best kinds of hummus I’ve ever had. The criticisms I have was that the menu is very long and is pretty dense reading. Some menu items are priced a bit high but you can find things at a reasonable price too.

I’ve been here a couple of times when visiting T-town. Some of the food items are great; others I find disappointing or overpriced. It might be a bad sign that their stand out to me is the chai tea. It’s delicious. Their fresh baked naan is also good, but like many other things there, I think it’s a bit spendy. Each time we’ve gone, the service has been good to okay. They do have a full bar and offer some interesting drinks, with some being very good and others being just fine. I appreciate what this place is trying to bring to Tulsa, but I think it has some room for improvement, especially in portions, presentation, and price point.

I was so excited to try this, and while I think it is a great concept, but honestly did not love it. I’m sure I could have ordered better, knowing what I know now, but I honestly scoured the menu and didn’t find exactly what I was looking for. The good news: it’s in a great location, and added a much-needed lunch place to this part of town. The décor is cool and the staff is friendly. I ordered a chicken schwarma wrap. I think I’m spoiled by the chicken schwarma wrap from my fave Middle Eastern place, wrapped up so tight nothing falls out. This wrap was almost impossible to eat. It was easier to take the contents out and eat with a fork than to try in vain to have a professional working lunch while eating this. But the worst part was the chicken inside was so fatty. I ordered it because I thought it would be a healthier choice than some of the other items, but my very first bite had so much fat in it, I wasn’t sure I could eat anymore. Again, I think I was expecting something like what I’m used to, which has almost no fat and a ton of flavor. This didn’t have much flavor, and was so fatty it was hard to eat. The sweet potato fries were lukewarm and also seemed to have been double fried, which would have been yummy had they been warmer. I’ll look forward to coming back and trying something different!
